This is my 2nd review so far with google reviews, so I only do these when I mean it. Hudson Floor Group was incredible in every way. We have a condo in Hoboken with high quality brazilian cherry wood floors that were about 10 years old and well scratched up / beat up from having multiple kids grow up there. We are getting the place updated for a sale and wanted a new finish with less red. Anthony, the owner, came and measured every wooded floor section carefully (while others quoted just based on online pics and sq footage), and proposed a very reasonable rate. He was knowledgeable about our wood, and is very into it and offered 3 finishes, made recommendations and we picked what we thought was best, in between the natural finish and a totally dark ebony with no hint of red. They did the work when we needed it on a short timeframe, and completed it as planned and efficiently. We had our place empty except for a few items which they moved into the bathrooms even though it was technically our responsibility. Everything was covered up. The end result was simply exceptional and impossible to describe - so much so that my wife and my first reaction is we shouldn't move out! We think the floors will really sell the place. What I can't stress enough that Anthony was better than anyone else and is important for any contractor you hire, is the responsiveness. He was extremely professional and always calling/texting/replying. Even the contract / payment process was straightforward. Five weeks ago, Anthony and his team refinished my staircase treads.Every time going up or down, I am now enjoying the beautiful fresh look of my stairs. It was a pleasure working with Anthony. He is very well organized, always on time, easy to communicate with.While working on the stairs Anthony isolated the working area, so that dust did not get into the rest of the house.They left everything clean. Exceptional ! I have been dealing with Anthony for the past couple of days while he and his crew installed new red oak select flooring in a master and guest bedroom. Anthony is 150% hands on at all times. The workers are respectful, polite and very pleasant to deal with. They pay so much attention to detail yet work quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this firm for hardwood flooring. Anthony is very knowledgeable and takes time to listen and guide you in your choices. I'd give them ten thumbs up !!! More...

We hired Hudson floor group to refinish the floors of our new brownstone in Jersey City. We first met Anthony (the nicest guy ever), and we were super pleased with the careful attention he provided to us. Throughout the project we were even more pleased every step of the way with his attention to detail and responsiveness. Final product blew our minds away, the floors look spectacular, more so than we even expected. Excellent contractor / client relationship. Excellent in the beginning, in the middle, in the end. Excellent communication skills in updating work progression. Quality of work...second to none. Unfortunately my parquet floors are 30 years old and have not been well maintained, but Anthony bought them back to such brilliant life. He was timely in his work schedule with the project completed on time. He offered expert advice on masking water damaged floors without replacing any parquet tiles. He also did some repair work on floor tiles that began to pop up as a result of humid conditions. I highly recommend this contractor for all your flooring projects. I had an unusual refinishing request for Anthony and his group as my flooring is laminates. He offered me few solutions and he was VERY honest about the final product. He made sure we both are on the same page before setting up the appointment. Anthony truly provided me with the best deal in regards to pricing and the time frame in which it was done. He empathized with the limited amount of time I can be away from home (pregnant with twins ) and ensured that everything was done in a timely manner.
