We've used Annette for many of our corporate events here in the Pleasanton area over the years and finally now getting to write a review! She is hands down the best caterer we've had the privilege of working with! Her professionalism and passion for presentation is matched by her incredibly diverse menu. Annette always made sure we were taken care of even when last minute changes occurred. She is very accommodating and helpful when things seemed overwhelming at times. For every event she would make some suggestions so the menu was different and exciting and our clients raved every time. Wonderful experience.   I chose Hosting By Annette based solely on great yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed.     Annette was extremely helpful by phone and email in the planning process for my 60 person buffet party, made it very clear what was agreed to be done. Annette and Debbie showed up just as promised and were very personable, everyone said the food was great and just as described, left everything spotless.   A joy to work with.  Highly recommended. We recently worked with Annette to host a 50 person Holiday party in our home.  She was constantly in communication in the days leading up to the party.  The amazing part, is that when I called her 5 days prior to the party to see about rescheduling, she was able to make that work! (Our party was booked on the night we were supposed to have the "storm of the decade")  The food was absolutely fantastic - we did a heavy appetizer spread - and we received many compliments on it.  Best of all, they left the kitchen cleaner than when they arrived.  I would recommend Annette to anyone!  Can't wait to work with her again. We met Annette while dressed up as "dueling Cher's" at a friend's Halloween party in 2013 (see prior review from Kelley D. ). The food was delicious and Kelley raved about Annette.  My husband and I were married October 4th of this year and when it came time to book a caterer, Kelley told us we had to call Annette.  So we did.  She remembered us from the Halloween party and it took off from there.  She was amazing to work with throughout the entire process.  We wanted the reception for 140 to be a fun party atmosphere.  We're not sit-down-dinner guys, so we decided on a burger bar, taco bar, pasta bar and a bar bar.  That and three different kinds of cakes (I'm a little indecisive).  Her prices were absolutely reasonable with no hidden fees.  The price she quoted per person is the price you paid.  Annette made everything amazing and our guests loved it.  My husband and I are no spring chickens and had no experience in planning a wedding.  Annette was incredibly helpful in providing guidance and making suggestions.  She instilled a sense of trust that it was all going to come together.  And it did.  Everything was finalized the week before and there was literally nothing I had to think about the days prior to the event regarding the food/beverages.  The day of...not a worry in the world.  Annette and her delightful staff made it all happen like magic.  Annette and crew worked and owned the event.  Our guests really appreciated their friendliness...especially at the bar!  It was truly the best day of our lives and it was in part due to Annette.  I couldn't recommend anyone better and we'll always be "her Cher's." In October of 2013, my husband and I hosted our first Halloween party. The amount of planning was unlike any other party my husband and I had ever given, and we are seasoned hosts. Not only did we have to decorate the inside AND the outside of the house, but there were costumes and invitations and so many other details. I knew we could not handle doing the food ourselves for approximately sixty guests. But never having used a caterer before, I was anxious. So, I came to YELP to find one. And boy, did I find one! Annette!! I visited her website, then sent an email asking for a phone call. She responded promptly asking me when was it convenient for her to call me. I told her the next day between 11a-1p. She called at 10:59!! I liked how it was starting. We discussed my plans for the party, and I was worried that a caterer would be hesitant to use a couple of my recipes, but Annette was more than happy to accommodate me! I also asked her about creating some themed foods. "Would you be able to make sandwiches shaped like coffins?" "Of course!", she said. "How about some mozzarella cheese balls that look like eyeballs " "Absolutely!", she replied. Wow! It seemed she was having as much fun planning my party as I was! After months of planning, the evening arrived, and she was at my home exactly when she said she would be. She didn't trouble me asking where anything was (such as extra bowls or utensils, etc.) as she saw how busy I was running around lighting candles and making punch and getting into costume! I barely even noticed she was there at the party. What I did notice was that every time I grabbed a warm appetizer, it was still warm. Every time I grabbed a cold one, it was cold. My husband even commented that Annette was like a referee on a football field. Right there in the middle of the action, but hardly noticeable and somehow staying out of the way! With trays of food, no less! I would recommend Annette as anyone's caterer with absolutely no hesitation. Her food was delicious, she was always prompt in her responses, her service was impeccable, and her prices reasonable.
