Woke up craving French Toast, thought it was to late for breakfast when stopped at Gore's, to find out they were serving brunch. French Toast was delicious and satisfied my craving. More...

This place was very much so a new orleans hideaway. The family and I chose this as our last stop before leaving. The atmosphere was very trendy with a taste of new orleans . The coffee was phenomenal and the dishes were some of the best we had all week. I will make it a point to make this a stop every time I am in nola!!!!! More...

More...

Had Saturday brunch and Monday morning breakfast here. First off, the food and drinks were PHENOMENAL. We were not disappointed either time! During brunch, we split the Crabby Wife and the cornbread waffle with beef on it. Tons of flavor and huge portions. I also had a bloody mary--tasty without being pretentious, and just the right amount of spice--followed by an iced cannon to go (gotta love NOLA!), which was strong, creamy, and wonderful. At breakfast, we split a fruit parfait (gorgeous presentation and absolutely delicious) and their BEC breakfast sandwich, piled high on a delectable marble rye. Good coffee, too. My only complaint is the service. During brunch, they were busy (which I totally understand), but the people seated next to us (one foot away) got waters, menus, and drinks before we got anything. Luckily a really friendly gentleman with salt-and-pepper hair (the owner?) noticed fairly quickly and promptly took our order immediately thereafter. Breakfast was a whole different story. When we walked in there were literally two tables of people in the entire restaurant, both of whom had already been served. No one greeted us (though both the female servers looked straight at us), so we finally just took a seat. 10 MINUTES LATER we were begrudgingly given menus, and coffee took another 15 minutes even though we asked for it when given menus. Note that another table of people who arrived after us were seated, given menus/coffee, and had their food DELIVERED before we even got our coffee. Unacceptable and inexcusable!!! Overall, I'd give five stars for food but only 2-3 stars for service. More...

Cute place with great service. I had the Eggs dauphine with poached eggs and it was soooo super delish! The jalapeno cornbread is outta this world good. I would def order it again. Hubs had the crabby wife and his only complaint is that the etouffee was overpowering of the eggs. He said he would order again but would get the eggs on the side. The french toast was super delish and soft! Would def visit here again just for the eggs dauphine! More...

Absolutely delicious food, and definitely worth the wait if its busy. Some of the dishes are large enough that friends wished they had split a meal, and no one was disappointed in their meal. Some unusual and unique choices on an extensive menu that it was almost hard to choose what we wanted to try. This place is so tasty we had friends go back the very next day; a must go! Oh, and I love that it's off the beaten path. More...
