Where to begin? The owner, Jordan, is just an all-around great person/now friend (bonus!!), and he has a really great eye for aesthetics.  The foreman and crew are always super courteous and professional, and even more importantly, the end result is always fantastic!  They will work with you to design anything your mind can come up with.  They literally just installed a 24' x 8' English lattice trellis in my side yard that can withstand heavy duty vines.  You dream, they do! Jordan Conover and the Hartford Fence Company have the best customer service of any company in town, hands down. I didn’t even know until after they finished the job that they won a BBB Business of the Year Award in 2015 but it didn’t surprise me at all to learn it. We hired Jordan and Hartford Fence Company to install a large driveway gate on our property. We have a detached garage that’s in our backyard and our driveway extends to the back to meet it. With two dogs, we wanted the yard to be completely enclosed with a gate but also needed it to be able to easily so we could park our cars in the back. My wife is a medical student (aka VERY busy) and made the mistake of trusting me with getting the gate (keep reading, Jordan made this story have a happy ending). Hartford Fence Company gave us the best quote by $500 so I went with them.Our neighbors fence borders our driveway so I thought (erroneously) that I should probably get a gate that matched their 6ft tall stockade fence. I wanted a privacy fence so I told Jordan to just give us a gate that was also 6ft tall to match our neighbors. I was very confident with my decision and he gave me EXACTLY what I asked for, perfectly installed. (Again, this was my terrible design… not Jordan’s). Unfortunately, as soon as the job was done I was reminded of why I leave design decisions to my wife. I sent her a picture and she hated it. She texted me back and said, “It’s perfect…if we’re preparing for the zombie apocalypse. It should be very easy to string barbed wire over the top.” She also pointed out that it would be good for scaring off trick-or-treaters because it looked like a gate someone would install if they wanted to arm a militia or run a pit bull fighting ring in the backyard. We have two pit bulls who do love to wrestle and I could see how the noises from behind a gate like that could cause some confusion. I digress.She called Jordan and briefly explained her concerns. The job was done and I had already paid so I wasn’t sure what he could do but he told her, “You know what, this is easier to discuss in person, are you home right now?” He came over immediately. They spent about 30 minutes examining the gate, talking about what she had in mind, what she had been expecting, what kind of “vibe” she was hoping for, etc. His enthusiasm and passion for creating something that we’d really love and be proud of was contagious. He has an awesome energy, we were all getting excited about the gate!Anyways, he took the gate off the hinges later that week. He worked on it by himself all weekend to modify it into a custom design that he and my wife discussed and on Monday he reinstalled a masterpiece. The wife LOVED IT. Even after all the custom metal work and modifications, the price was still well under what we were quoted for my original “Walking Dead” style fence….so you know I was thrilled. The phenomenal customer service didn’t end there. A few months later, Jordan was doing another job on our street and when he drove by, he saw that we were getting a new driveway. He called us up and offered to remove the gate and reinstall it at the new height because the new asphalt would be too high for the gate to close, at no cost!!!! Not just that, when we were having trouble getting a hold of our asphalt guys to find out what day they were coming, Jordan called them himself and coordinated with them. We needed some help at the Veterans Home and Healthcare Facility in Rocky Hill for a garden that I designed for the vets that live there. I called around to different fence companies but Jordan stepped up said he wanted to be part of this project for the vets. Quality work.  Contracted to replace 6' fence and fix existing metal gate. We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Jordan and his crew! Highest recommendation possible. Polite, considerate work crew that made every effort to make sure we were more than satisfied with their work. Crew was careful around my neighbor's property & ultra careful around my plantings. Raked the area & left it shockingly immaculate. I was astounded with the old-school professionalism of this company. I had an old wooden stockade fence that was poorly cared for before I purchased my home. I did the best I could with it but it reached the point where it was literally falling apart. It was time for a new fence. I didn't want to over extend myself considering that I am planning on selling my home within the next few years. I called Hartford Fence and Jordan came to give me an estimate. He understood what I wanted and was able to give me a good explanation as to what he could do, an estimate for how much it would cost, amd how soon I could expect to have it completed. He understood what I was looking for and didn't try to unecessarily upsell me. I recieved a higher quality product that what you coukd get at Home Depot or Lowe's, paid a very reasonable price for the size of the project, and had the fence installed sooner and easier than I would have expected. The installers did a great job removing and disposing my old fence and installing the new one. From start to finish I was more than pleased with the quality and ease of the process and I am completly satisfied with the results. That said, when my family was looking to install a cedar fence along the front of the yard, we went with Hartford Fence based on the product offered and service provided. Jordan provided all the information we needed to make the best choice. His price was competitive, and the quality of service first rate. I can't say enough. I am please with the installation of my privacy fence. My back yard is on a slope Hartford Fences Co. installed the fence so that it is a straight line on top and no gap on the bottom . This is quite a feat. I compared my fence with my neighbors and there is no comparison. Fences on slopes generally are installed in a up down setting, while mine same type of slope is straight. Also, the yard was cleaned up after installation. I highly recommend Hartford Fence Co.

Hartford Fence CO did a great job installing my fence. I had several ideas of what I wanted and they were able to provide me with options and estimates quickly. They also did not waste time installing the fence. The first day (which was a Friday) was placing the posts and concrete to setup. On Monday they had the fence completed before I got home from work.
As the next few weeks past I wanted to have some extra additions to the fence for extra security and Hartford Fence Co was out the next day!

We researched three local fence companies, and confidently selected Hartford Fence Co. Jordan returned my call immediately and was able to come that evening to assess our property. He sent an email the next day with a detailed estimate, including a list of materials to be used. Jordan even, kindly coordinated with our land surveyor prior to starting the project. The crew was friendly and installed the 100 foot privacy PVC fence in two days. We had an issue with the extent of cleanup, but once I called Jordan, the crew was back in 15 minutes, and cleaned up to our satisfaction.
