Harry came out and showed explained to me what exactly what areas that needed repairs/restoration and why. The cedar shakes were rotting in some areas and the over hanging trees had eroded away some of the cedar shakes. Harry was very professional and answered all of my questions I had about how the repairs will look and blend in with the rest of the roof. Harry then provided an estimate with everything he recommended applying to the roof and what we discussed - cleaning, repair, and treatment application to prolong the life of the roof and the repair work. His estimate was the most reasonably priced and I thought he sounded very knowledgeable and genuine while he was assessing my roof so I decided to go with Harry for the job. My parents had decided to sell their house in August to downsize to something that requires less maintenance.  I've worked in real estate for several years so they asked me to help them with getting the house ready to sell.  The cedar shake roof needed some repairs so I called a few contractors for estimates and met them at the house when I was home visiting my parents.Harry came over and we discussed what needed to be done for repairs and maintenance and he outbid the other contractors by a long shot.  He showed me what they can do to repair the cedar shakes to make everything look newer and ready for the sale of the house.  They gave it a good cleaning and put a coating of treatment on the roof to seal it which is a great selling point to new homebuyers - a roof is expensive so most homebuyers always inspect the roof and see how much time they have until a new one is needed.  Harry and his crew did a great job.  My parents were very happy when their house was sold within a month.  The realtor mentioned that the touch ups I recommended to my parents were a major factor, but I really should give Harry and his crew the credit that's well deserved. The cedar shakes on my roof were due for cleaning and repairs.  I always call at least three contractors when I need work done for anything (decks, patios, remodels, etc) and Harry was one of the three contractors that came over to give me an estimate and assess what all needed to be done with my roof. I want to thank Harry and his staff for the excellent work they completed on my elderly mother's home in Zimmerman, Minnesota.  They were very responsive to our initial inquiry and delivered on their promises which were included in the estimate.  From initial contact to completion, it took less than a week.  They added value and beauty to the home and went above and beyond in doing add-ons that you wouldn't think would be done by contractors doing siding.  The quality of the shake and the respectfulness to my mom and her home were excellent.  Harry's company strikes me as old school work ethic and custom craftsman quality.
