My daughter and I did the Zipline and it was great. There are 7 ziplines and it took about 1.5 hours. Brent, Austin and Scott were our guides and did a great job.

Reasonable price and they provide the tubes and get you from point a to point b easily. Wish there was more food in the brewery. The river is a short course and very broad so it's easy to get lost or confused on where to go, but it works out okay in the end. We took our 3 kids zip lining. Our guides were great! It was my sons birthday, he just turned 8. He was nervous at first but the guides were so patient and encouraging to get him over his fears. Our guides were Adam, Scott and Brandt. The woman working behind the desk wasn’t very friendly when we made the appointment and when we checked in, but other then that it was a great experience! Lot of fun for outdoor activities. They offer beginner white water rafting, tubing, zip line, and a 3 level ropes course. There are also packages that you can get to do 2 activities in 1 day . Indoor brewery and a couple food trucks as well.They could do a bit better paving the entryway and provide a better overview of what to expect--the rafting was a lot of fun but killer on the arms the next day. Always a great time! Don’t forget your sunblock and cold beverages on ice. There’s a shop with some snacks, sunscreen and apparel including water shoes if you’d like. Schedule your trip ahead of time online (night before may be fine) if possible and save a few bucks with a coupon code. It’s really nice being able to complete all of the paperwork (liability waivers) ahead of time online! Brewery next door is very convenient. Location is far superior to the other outfits in West Virginia since the bus ride to drop off is much shorter and the bus ride back is non-existent since you exit on their own private property where you started. In the summer, traffic over the bridges can be a standstill and the less time you can spend on the bus without AC the better! I’ve been tubing with Butts Tubes, then BTI Whitewater and now Harpers Ferry Adventure Center for years (despite several names changes and an adjusted far superior location) and will continue to keep coming back! Zip line was fun. Scariest part was the rickety first set of stairs and the wobbly platform. After that the nerves go away. Knocked a star off for poor advertising practices - site says 7 zip lines, doesn't mention the small practice line counts as 1 which is an outright deception. More...

Highly recommend Harpers Ferry Adventure Center for white water rafting! They employ seasoned experts who are highly passionate about rafting and kayaking. We were a group of three, with 6 rafters total including our guide. Our guide was Chris, who not only was hilarious, but provided a lot of background on local wildlife, history and architecture. His instructions were clear and I always felt 100% confident in the safety of the experience. The trip was entertaining, educational, and A LOT of fun! Definitely make sure to hydrate before, but we also took a quick break on the side of the river where we were provided water. I recommend wearing a lot of sweat/waterproof sun screen. Also expect that this is a physically strenuous activity. If you're not willing to paddle, you're not going to have a good time. One perk is that this company is the only one that has a private entrance on the bank of the river. Everyone else must use the public entrance where there is a steep walk back to the main road in order to catch a bus back to cars. We were provided transportation using a military truck via the private entrance. After a long day on the river, it's nice to not have to hike back to our car. Please remember to bring some cash to tip your guide post-rafting! More...

Note: There is now a Beer garden/brewerie here, it can get very crowded. Been going here since it was called Butts Tubes, many of the same people are still here. The process of getting checked in is crazy, but worth it. Come early so you are not rushed, can get very crowded. More...

Had an amazing time today zip lining and white water rafting. My son, future daughter-in-law and I had Kyle for our rafting experience and he was phenomenal. He was very entertaining and educated us on many of the historical elements surrounding the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, as well as Harpers Ferry. We will definitely be back. Went white water rafting with a group of six, had Eli as our raft guide. It was a lot of fun and Eli was really knowledgeable about the area, the rafting, and the nature we got to experience being out there. He tailored our trip to our wants and needs, making sure we had the best time possible. Also, all of the guides are masters of cheesy jokes, which was an extra touch of fun. We had a great time tubing on the river! The instructors are nice, they don't bog you down with instructions. After a short bus ride you will enjoy 1.5 to 2 hours on the river.

A great place to go tubing. The whitewater tubing was really fun and a great way to enjoy the river on a hot day. We went when it was 87 outside and it was fantastic. The equipment is nice and the bus drops you off very close to the entrance for tubes. At the end a truck takes you up the hill, so you don't have to walk. Pack your lunch in a dry bag (walmart $5) and take it with you. More...
