My family cannot say enough about Natalie and Happy Trails Dog Training. We sent our 8 week old bernedoodle Finn to her for her two week jump start puppy program, and he returned home with wonderful manners, a grasp of expectations, and within days of coming home, was able to go to the bathroom on his own. She has also provided a day training for us to refresh both his skills and ours. Natalie has shown so much love for our puppy. Even more, she has shown great patience with us, his family, as first time dog owners. She has been available to us, has answered our questions, and is clearly skilled in her training and techniques. Because of Natalie, Finn is truly a member of our family. All of this from two weeks of training. I am sure that her longer training programs would produce even further results. I'm very glad I went with Natalie to train my dog. Asher, our Boston Terrier, used to be the best dog. He was good with our kids and played with the cats like he was one. But when we moved last month his behaviors took a weird turn. He started barking at the door and humping our new neighbors and seemed to forget how to use the doggy door! Our house stank really bad and nothing we were doing was working. So we contacted Natalie. She gave us a free consultation and after a few questions and watching Asher's habits she said she could help us. She explained very clearly what was going on and let us know this was normal behavior after a move because Asher didn't understand the rules in the old house applied here as well. She set us up with a program to get Asher the training he needed and things went so well! Natalie was prompt, cheerful, and linked us to some videos and articles we could watch when she wasn't there to help us. We's recommend her to everyone with a dog who needs help. More...

I signed up for 5 training sessions, two walking and a quick nail trimming session. I am very pleased with the results, after just trimming my puppies nails without any fuss! She did a great job helping my puppy learn how to play friendly and to relax. Mostly Natalie helped teach my family and I how to handle my dogs bad behavior and how to effectively discipline and reward him!! Working with Natalie and Happy Tails Obedience Training is one of the best decisions my husband and I have made. Natalie helped us from day one. She scheduled a phone interview to discuss what puppy adoption entails and discussed if she thought we would be a good fit for for the process. She had a great relationship with the breeder (who was also fantastic) and helped us through the each step. We recently brought Roger home and let me just say, what Natalie does is remarkable and shows she is truly talented at her career. I think I have been surprised by her ability to not only give the new puppy skills, but also the new parents. We feel equipped to help Roger continue to grow. Since brining him home, he has stunned us by his love and calmness in his crate, his potty training and his response to learning and commands, as well as, his ability to walk on a leash, calmness around people, thunderstorms and distractions in general. Natalie was very helpful with my dog's behaviors and my concerns. She had a very happy, up-beat attitude and my dog responded to her energy immediately and the training went by so fast! My dog, Mercy, used to drive my wife and me crazy with her constant barking at night and when she chewed on the table legs. Natalie gave us clear instruction and advice that worked immediately and Mercy responded very well. I liked that she used treats and praise to show my dog what she wanted to see. I was hesitant to get a dog trainer after seeing people like Cesar Millan on TV. I would recommend Natalie every time. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I love working with frustrated or confused owners, and showing them their hyper, crazy dog can be the best on the block with just a little work!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I, like millions of other dog owners, have had my fair share of out of control animals! We went through dogs faster than people go through iPhone's. Very sad, I know. The problem is we never knew what we were doing, so when one dog got to be too much we'd rehome it and get a different dog a few years later.
After our 5th dog I decided I would do everything I could to make sure if a dog entered my home it STAYED there! I wanted to make sure people struggling with their dogs had someone to turn to; someone who understood the heartache and worry that comes with owning an out of control animal. I've made it my mission to provide help to those who need it most, and thus Happy Tails Obedience Training was founded!

Puppy Training
​Just brought a new puppy into the house? We can help! With this program, we will cover everything you need to know to ensure that your puppy grows up to be a well-mannered adult dog.
