Puppy Training
Start your puppy on the right paw by training foundational skills with Happy Dogs. We help you and puppy master core skills and guide you to doing socialization the right way so your pup will feel comfortable with new experiences and environments, and how to cope in potentially stressful situations. With early training, you can raise a puppy who you can take anywhere and introduce to anyone. We'll help you build a relationship based on mutual trust, respect and love of learning with our Private Training classes or Walk & Train program.

Walk & Train
Happy Dogs’ Walk and Train Program is simple, effective and fun. While you’re busy with work, school or other commitments, one of our professional trainers will pick up your dog for an exciting walk through your neighborhood. While he’s enjoying the day’s sights, sounds and smells, we’ll also work with him one-on-one to create better behaviors, skills and habits.

Unlike Board and Train programs that take often place in impersonal kennel environments, the Walk and Train Programs happens in your dog’s own familiar surroundings. This approach reduces stress, keeps him happy and relaxed, and makes him more open to learning. By combining structured training with the mental and physical exercise of a walk, Happy Dogs is able bring out the very best in your pup in just a short amount of time. At the end of each week, you’ll be amazed at everything your dog has learned!

Because we know you don’t have a one-size-fits-all dog, we don’t offer one-size-fits-all training. The Walk and Train Program is customized to meet the needs of you, your dog and your specific training goals, including:

Basic obedience for adult dogs and puppies
Common puppy behaviors like play biting, chewing and jumping
Puppy socialization
Barking
Jumping on people
Fear of strangers or other dogs
Pulling on the leash
Barking or lunging during walks

Imagine sitting home alone all day with nothing to do. You don’t have access to a TV or the Internet or books. There’s no one around to interact with and you don’t have a way to leave the house.

That’s exactly how dogs feel being cooped up all day. After all, they’re smart, social beings, just like us. And just like us, they need mental stimulation, physical exercise and friends to hang out with.

With a Happy Dogs Pack Walk, your dog will enjoy fun, new experiences in your own neighborhood with a small group of like-minded doggie friends. With an experienced, professional dog walker as their guide, they’ll sniff, explore, play and socialize as one big, happy group.

At Happy Dogs, we always put your pet’s physical and emotional wellbeing first. With years of experience in dog behavior and body language, we are experts in safely walking small groups of friendly dogs.

Each Happy Dogs Pack Walk is designed to be a joyful, positive experience that enriches your dog’s life. The dogs in our care are always leashed and secured. We constantly observe group dynamics while we keep an eye out for the “what-ifs” like loose dogs or poorly trained humans. On hot days, we make sure to take the shady streets and give our clients plenty of cool rests. And we always, always take proactive steps to keep the dogs in our care safe.
Once the walk is over, your pet will be relaxed, contented and ready for a nice, long nap. And that means you’ll come home to a calmer, healthier, better-behaved best friend!

Private Dog Walks
Most dogs love group walks, but there are some dogs who do better one-on-one.

Private Dog Walks are great for:

Extremely shy or fearful dogs
Dogs who are especially reactive to other dogs
Dogs with unique medical conditions or needs
Owners who want their dogs to receive extra pampering
On a Happy Dogs Private Walk, your dog will receive the same structure and stimulation of the Pack Walk, but will enjoy the complete focus and attention of their dog walker.
