Oof! That's a hard one! Handkerchief Events was created from a passion for all things events. Designing, planning, and coordinating all come with an incredible sense of fulfillment for us, as we're sure is true for all planners.

If we MUST narrow it down, we would have to say it's the range of personalities we get to work with every day. From clients to guests to the vendors we partner with day-to-day, we encountered the best and brightest. We never have a dull moment when we're meeting new faces day in and day out. Without every person involved, we would never be able to create the moments our clients know us for.

Working in the events world for as long as I have, I've met all types of business owners, managers, and other vendors; some were not the kind of people I would recommend to anyone and some I still work with any chance I get. I was inspired by both when I decided to open my own business.

Those individuals and business' whom I wouldn't recommend, all had one thing in common; they didn't respect their clients. The situations varied but the outcomes were always the same. The client was never as satisfied as they could've been had they been given the focus and respect they deserved. When I was new to the industry, I saw these entities neglect client's wishes, not address their concerns, and withhold unflattering or damaging information that should have been shared promptly and openly; all the while saying it was in the better interest of the client or an unnecessary hurdle to overcome. I knew this was wrong and when it came time for me to create my own story through Handkerchief Events I understood the importance of treating a client with the utmost respect they deserve.

Those I still love to work with showed a stark contrast to those who I just mentioned, they respected their clients in a way that was second nature to them. Their ingenuity and moral fiber led their decision-making. Such attractive qualities are why many of these individuals have become leaders of their industry and inspirations to business owners like myself.

While opening this business, I was inspired to create a rigid framework of my own core values that I could instill within my employees and business practices. Our core values are as follows: Honesty, Loyalty, Consistency, and Reliability. As I've continued to grow this company, I've boiled these values down into a single ideal that we embrace at Handkerchief; show your integrity.

Full-Service Wedding Planning
Our most complete and all-encompassing wedding package is curated for every couple that cares about every detail involved with planning a momentous occasion such as a wedding. From the very first moment you sign with Handkerchief Events, we are there to pull every string and tie every knot - well, there's one knot you both need to tie on your own. We handle the planning process from start to finish while always keeping you aware of our progress and next steps. Whatever you need, you have us to make it possible.

Partial Wedding Planning
A mixed bag of only the best things is what you get out of partial planning; 10 steps above our day-of coordination services and just a few steps behind our full-service planning package. This starts with a complimentary consultation so our team can understand what parts you want to plan and what you need from us. We'll help you find the perfect middle ground to balance your budget with your vision so you have the best experience possible. The planning process starts with what you need to source leading up to the wedding and we're there to help you through every day after, including the day of.

Day-Of Coordination
The name of the package is somewhat of a half-truth but it's the name every couple recognizes. Yes, we'll be there the day of your wedding to help you with every detail from set-up to the ceremony to the loadout long after you and your soon-to-be have made your great escape. However, we're working behind the scenes long before you ever make it down the aisle; Day-Of Coordination starts approximately 45-60 days prior to your wedding. We organize your vendors and contracts, we review every fine detail with you in 2 consultations, we create timelines for the both of you, your guests, and your vendors so every detail stays on the schedule you've set months before, and during the day of we coordinate your vendors, guests, and keep you and your new spouse right on schedule so you never have to worry about missing a moment.

Wedding Consultation
Not every couple needs a wedding planner or a coordinator, some couples have a small backyard wedding, some are only concerned about the ceremony or reception, but every couple needs a pair of professional eyes on the $$! Every couple loves the red carpet treatment vendors near and far will give them when they're wedding shopping, but you're not the first couple they've shmoozed and you certainly won't be the last. Chances are likely that this is your first, and only, wedding and DIY weddings are a solid choice for the creative and budget-minded types who are looking to celebrate their wedding on their terms. Whether you're needing help with forming your wedding vision or reviewing every contract you've got, we're there to help you balance you budget and your stress.
