We are satisfied clients of Gunkel Architecture. We enlisted their services to design a remodel of our 1940 bungalow in El Cerrito. Brad Gunkel was warm and approachable. His past work matched our desire to create a new home using sustainable material, is comfortable, and modern. He and his team quickly came up with a design meeting our needs. He suggested sources to look for fixtures/tiles. He followed building code requirements in our city and made visits to our city’s permit department to ensure all permits were in place. Brad is a skilled pro, and he was quick to resolve issues as they arose. For example, because we were particular about our new windows, he accompanied us to a dealer to select the right kind. He worked closely with both our engineer and contractor. He was sensitive to our desire to keep costs down.
