We couldn't be happier with the Grow Now Therapy team. My son was there for speech therapy and he made great improvements under the guidance of Mike and Eric. They both did an excellent job interacting with my son and making the therapy fun. They were also very patient and good at redirecting him when he would loose focus (he's 4 years old). My 5-year old goes for speech therapy (mild delay). We've only had 2 sessions thus far, so i can't quite speak to progress yet, but i can say that:1. The owner (?) Mike, and Eric, one of the therapists are both super nice guys. My son adores them. He loves going because they make it really fun! I don't think he remotely realizes it's "therapy".3. Mike has been fantastic to work with, financially. Has worked with me to make the services affordable, without insurance.4. The space is very nice with ample parking.5. Hours are flexible. For the past few years I have had a severe phobia of making formal phone calls due to a stutter. I have had many people go as far as hanging up on me, which has been extremely demoralizing. Due to this phobia, I have had to resort to having friends or family handle these simple phone conversations on my behalf. After just the first day of working with Michael, I saw instant success. After learning about my problem, he taught me an evidence based technique, which helped to trick my mind and airway into speaking more clearly. Michael is without a doubt the best speech therapist I've ever seen interact with my son. My 5-year old son is currently non-verbal, suffers from some additional developmental delays, uses an Ipad and TouchChat Pro, and has a few sounds and signs. Over the past five years, I've always felt that he was being assessed and treated as someone who could not or would not ever speak. My son's mother and I have been considering more speech therapy for a long time, and finally decided to take him outside his network for an evaluation. In short, the experience we had at this evaluation was the single most powerful therapeutic session I've ever experience. Michael immediately engaged our son in PROMPT techniques and our son made a sound right in front of us, that he has never made before using this approach. Not only that, but for the first time...someone actually looked us in the eyes and said "Your son has a ton of potential". I honestly almost cried on the spot. I might not have believed the sentiment, had I not seen significant progress being made right in front of our eyes.We were thrilled with Michael and will be working with him regularly come the new year! Michael and the grownow team worked with my son for a period of 6 months. My son presented with difficulties in speech, language, social skills, executive functioning, and academic performance. Michael started by building a rapport, making therapy fun and engaging. Everything he did focused on my child's strengths and interests. I am amazed at the progress he has made socially and academically. His self-image and confidence have skyrocketed.
