This is my second review for Gregory Brothers Painting which makes sense because this is our second home since I discovered the best Painting Contractor in Austin.  Yup.  Gregory Bros. is all that. My honey and I recently sold our home in Travis Country and moved to a downtown condo.  This has been a dream of ours for a long time.  The walls of our new downtown space were painted a dark, somewhat dreary color, and the 11' walls were in need of some TLC, but I could see past these issues because I know what magic Andrew Gregory and his incredible team could work. I've been so happy with my experience with Gregory Brothers Painting. I live out of state and I'm managing a project for family and we needed to get some paint work done at the house. I contacted Gregory Brothers Painting and Andrew got back to me in a timely manner and shortly after went out and did a quote. He arrived when he said he would and was very easy to communicate with. When it came time to getting the work done the process was a breeze. He was able to match the colors to a patio cover and even went above and beyond by replacing some trim at no extra charge. He was very understanding and very flexible to work with. It's not easy to find a contractor to work with when you can't even meet them face-to-face but Andrew made this process simple for us. I've been remiss on posting a review.  In July 2017, we hired Andrew to paint the interior of our new home as well as epoxy the garage floor before we moved in.  We couldn't have been happier with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Andrew and his team.  The paint 'lines' between the walls and the trim (different colors) were perfectly straight. They communicated throughout the week and were very flexible regarding schedule and  timeline.  Andrew was not the lowest bid; he came in slightly higher.  However, the quality and ease of working with Andrew was well worth it. I needed three rooms painted before going out of town and was lucky that Gregory Brothers had a cancellation that week. Andrew and his crew showed up on time, were polite and professional, did a great job. They were touching up tiny things that I wouldn't have ever even noticed. I had Gregory Brother's paint the ceiling and walls in my two story entry, stairs, halls, kitchen, and upstairs family room. They also removed some wallpaper border and fixed a drywall seam that was showing on a ceiling. They did really great work. They were here for 2.5 days and at the end of each day, they made sure to leave my house in a usable state (as much as possible), they took care to cover and tape things. I was really impressed and happy with their work. During the time they were here, I had several conversations with the owner, Andrew, who seems to be a very honest, good guy. PERFECT, METICULOUS, PROFESSIONAL, CONSIDERATE.  Andrew has such a long history of experience in the painting world; he knows what's best. He and his 2 men were compulsive about matching the paint for a repair job, making several trips back to Kelley-Moore to get it right.  They draped and put drop cloths down which is common but afterwards they even put lamps back in place and pictures on the wall.  You could't tell workers had been in my house. I used Gregory Brothers for a ceiling drywall patch and paint job.  We had a crack in the ceiling caused by a slow drip leak from a roof issue.  It also caused peeling of the paint.  The logistics were complicated due to 20' high cathedral ceilings and a walkway bisecting the room.  Andrew and his crew were consummate professionals.  From the bid process to the prep work to the job itself and the cleanup they were extremely good at all of these.  In particular the crew was very hardworking, very detail-oriented with the taping and hanging of plastic sheeting, moving furniture, etc.  I would highly recommend them for other jobs and will certainly use them again for my painting needs. The experience I had with Gregory Brothers Painting was OUTSTANDING. We just had the exterior of our house and the attached deck painted by them. Hands, and brushes down, this is the best painter I have ever had! I've flipped more houses than Andrew is old, and I have NEVER EVER had anyone as professional as him and his crew! They show up on time, pay attention to every detail, and clean up after themselves better than most cleaning services. I could not have been more pleased with how my house turned out. It was a pretty big project (sanding interior walls down) all done while we were living in the home. It was a mess of course, but they covered everything up, and cleaned up every step of the way. One Word.. Gregory Brothers Painting = PERFECTION !!. Andrew(owner) has his business very organized. Everything was on-time, be it estimate appointment, Start time of the work and completion of work. I had 6 rooms painted and top grade epoxy painted in my garage floor. It was all worth it.. Materials used and workmanship are top rated. You do not have to worry a thing once the job is assigned to Andrew and his crew, just wait for beautiful results. Andrew himself had 2 separate walk through's of the rooms and checked each corner and lines to the ceiling to find any imperfection. They cleaned so well inside and out after the job that no one could tell such a big job was done at home. Gregory Brothers did a great job with our house!We bought our first house not long ago and decided that the popcorn ceilings had to go and coat of fresh paint was in order. Our living room walls go up to the second floor so doing it ourselves was out of the question. Andrew was able to come out and give us an estimate the day after calling. He was very upfront about their timeline and gave a rough popcorn removal costs so as not to waste my time if either was going to be a problem. Really appreciated that. They were able to start on our house earlier than expected which was nice, but the results would have been worth waiting for. In total they removed all the popcorn ceilings in the house, painted the high living room walls, our two support beams dark brown, and fixed all the cracks and drywall issues throughout the entire house. During our final walk through, the house looked amazing! We couldn't believe how good it looked. Andrew actually found more small details that needed some attention than we would have ever noticed. We even had a leak that sprung in our second floor bathroom, that dripped and ruined the newly painted ceiling in our downstairs bathroom, the day after they finished!! Andrew was nice enough to say that they can come out and fix the ceiling once the leak issue was resolved. Which is a pretty small job for them and I'm not sure everyone would be so willing. We will definitely be using them in the future if we need anything done!******ANOTHER JOB*******So we just had Gregory Brothers come out for some extensive drywall repair and painting. You can't tell anything ever happened because they were able to match the original paint so well! There was even some caulk that got spilt on the driveway, and they took the time to scrape and wash it off. Totally unnecessary but it was appreciated all the same. I doubt how many other people would have done the same especially with use insisting it wasn't a problem. But they did it anyways. Just another reason we will continue to use them in the future! I was in need of some sheet rock repair after having a roof leak fixed.  My State Farm Agent recommended Gregory Brothers Painting as Gregory Brothers had done some work at his home.  I was so impressed that I have had him back to paint several other things, including the entire outside of my home.  He returned to do a large job such as that and didn't hesitate when I called him back to paint just one wall in my home.  Doing that sounds easy, but we all know cutting in along the wall to ceiling and to the corner is not easy when you have 2 different colors to work with.  The owner is Andrew and he is so kind and professional and HONEST.  It is hard to find HONEST with many companies.  His crew cleans up after themselves as well which is a huge plus for me. We hired Gregory Brothers to repaint our conference room and repair and repaint a couple other walls that had cracked. We were blown away by their responsiveness, customer service, and professionalism. Andrew came out the day I called to scope out the project, got me an estimate the next day, and started the job within a couple days of my go-ahead. They laid down construction paper and everything else needed to protect the office from their traffic and paint, repaired, primed, and painted very well, and cleaned up afterwards. If everything were so easy...Andrew provided a quote in a timely manner.  Work started on time and finished on time for this 4-day project.  Prep work was the most thorough I've experienced - paper on the floor for work traffic, plastic covering for protection of items that couldn't be moved - and the clean up was the best I've seen from any type of construction/design team.  The crew was always punctual (8:30 AM on the dot), diligent in their work, and professional.  And most importantly, the quality was outstanding.  The painters always had their lights out to ensure that 15 years of nicks and scratches in the trim were repaired prior to painting.  Hope to have this same team back when we tackle the second floor. True Professionals! I highly recommend Andrew and John and his painters. After receiving 3 quotes on painting the entire interior walls, trim, doors and replacing drywall in a few areas of our over 3300 square foot home we decided to go with Andrew. He was very easy to communicate with, honest, and went above and beyond to ensure we were fully satisfied with the work along the way and when they were finished. John and his painting crew were so polite, very neat and clean, and never made me or my 3 pets feel like we were in the way. They helped me move my furniture and were so great with the week long scheduling of each room so that I could still work from home all day and continue to sleep in my own bedroom. Woohoo is absolutely the correct response. If I could give more stars I would!Emailed Gregory Brothers last Thursday afternoon about a very small exterior painting job, a 2 foot in diameter vent above our garage. Since the job was so small I didn't think they'd even respond, but Andrew Gregory did. Said they'd be able to do it but wanted pictures to be able to price the job. I sent the pictures Friday and over the weekend we scheduled the job for Monday since the price was extremely fair. Andrew called Monday morning and said he had finished earlier than expected and wondered if he could come right over. Shoot yeah! So he came over within 10 minutes. Talked a little and he is definitely one of the nicest contractors I've ever dealt with. Very knowlegable and helpful. Andrew did the job and even did another little touch up on the garage door that he had seen. The vent and door look GREAT and bonus, my wife's happy that I didn't get high up on the ladder. Really great! Andrew was courteous, professional and helpful. The job they did for us was originally quoted for only one day, but ended up taking two due to how much damage there actually was to the walls. They removed every nail, patched every hole, and textured everything they did to match the rest of the wall. Decided to try Gregory Bros Painting based on reviews on Yelp, other bids and meeting Anthony the owner sealed the deal. They were out in a couple of weeks and painted our Home, decorative front door  and Tool Shed in 4 days. This included power washing and prep. I work from home and talked with the Painters several times a day. I think their attention to detail during the prep work  was really the impressive part of the job. Plenty of caulking and priming. Today Andrew came out to paint an unusual project that was made of a material that he has not worked with before.  This was an inside project.  Andrew personally was the one that showed up and masked off the area and did the painting.  Andrew is an extremely pleasant and relaxed person.  He is easy to talk with and he is very personable.  His price was definitely fair.  He demonstrated integrity and the ability to communicate throughout the project.  I also forgot to mention that Andrew did a great job communicating prior to the job and he showed up at the time he said he would to start the job.  I consider myself fortunate that I got to meet Andrew and I most definitely recommend him for any painting job you may have and I would most definitely use his services again! We had an ugly garage that had never been painted. The old plaster and tape were falling from the ceiling and the sheet rock walls were discolored.  We were tired of looking at it and realized it would discourage buyers if we ever decided to sell the house.  We interviewed several companies before checking Yelp, where we saw the good rating and reviews assessing the work of Gregory Brothers Painting. We were impressed with the professional manner of Andrew Gregory, who provided us with a reasonable bid and communicated clearly regarding the quality and scope of work we should expect.  We are so glad we selected this company to do the work. He and his employees started and ended their workdays on time and the project of floating/taping/painting the ceiling and walls, and applying epoxy paint to the floor, was completed on schedule.  Their work is excellent and the garage looks great now. Looking for a painter on Yelp? How do you choose from the multitude of painters listed? Gregory Brothers Painting jumped out at me. Maybe it was because his location is close to my home. Did I  hit on a gem with this company! I knew within 5 minutes of talking with Andrew that he was my guy for this job. He knew what he was talking about. I have a decorative plaster and faux finishing business, so I know a good painter when I see one. And there are lots of average painters out there, but very few great painters. Andrew Gregory definitely falls into the great category. I will have to admit he was not my lowest bid, but I fall into the "you get what you pay for" category. Usually I am never completely satisfied with the final product when I have work done at my home. That was was not the case with Gregory Brothers. Andrew is worth every dollar you will spend. This guy has an eye for the details and takes great pride in his work. He was prompt to call me back when I initially contacted him, and made an appointment to come by and see my job the next day. We were in the the process of repairing interior cracks from foundation issues which involved new drywall work and plaster. I needed the painter to be able to fit into the schedule between drywall and a new window installation. Andrew assured me he could make that happen, and he followed through on the promise. In fact, Andrew and Angel when far beyond what I has asked them to do for me. He did little fine tuning tweeks that the majority of painters out there would not even think of doing. I know he does referral work for Louis Shanks, so that should tell you volumns about his quality of work. He and his crew were on time, neat and clean, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. I would not think twice about using Gregory Brothers Painting again in the future. I had him come back a few days later and look at some trim paint repairs that I need after the window install, so I will be having him do that job for me soon. Over the last two years, we remodeled the heck out of our 1979 home including new kitchen, master bath, removed the popcorn ceilings and all new paint. I got in touch with Andrew from Gregory brothers through our real estate agent who spoke highly of him.Andrew and his crew are great. Friendly, responsible, and always striving to exceed your expectations. Their prices are very reasonable and you can feel comfortable having them in your home knowing that they will do a great job. I've dealt with some contractors who are unreliable and drama central, these guys are laid back, reliable, and drama free. I actually worked alongside them since I was doing some of the work myself and they helped me out teaching me some tricks of the trade like how to get really good looking lines where the ceiling meets the wall. The quality of their work is excellent. I've had several other contractors comment on the quality of their work. We went from popcorn ceilings to flat orange peel texture. With such a flat texture the tape and float job has to be spot on and Andrew is pretty anal, which is what you want in a painter! I've now had them out twice and have been very happy both times. These guys do great work!I had all cabinets and interior doors, some walls, trim, and exterior trim painted.  IT LOOKS GREAT!  There is really not much else to say about the finished job.  It is far better than I could have done, even if I had the time to do it (not even close).  Also better than other painters I've hired.Andrew always treated me with respect and went the extra mile to make sure I was fully satisfied.  They were here a week, never left things in my way, and worked around my messes and other work in progress.  Even when I changed the work after it started, he took it in stride.
