A good experience everytime
Phillys best kept secret. Free beer on fridays
Really awesome venue 10/10
Was in town visiting a friend and we though, $12 for a comedy show + a beer, what do we have to lose? The show started at 7, so we go there around 6:45pm, and there was a short line outside. We were instructed to first go inside to show our tickets, and get our hands marked. We then went back outside to wait until they let us all in. They let us all in around 7, and handed us our can of beer on the way in (not sure what the brand was, but it was cheap and decent). The theatre is pretty small 4 seats on each side of the aisle and probably 10 rows of seats. There were 3 comedians scheduled, but 1 cancelled at the last minute so we only saw 2. But they were both pretty funny, lots of laughs from the audience and no awkwardness. Overall worth it! More...
Such a great, small space for comedy shows. The line ups are always fun and it's byob. I have an awesome time whenever I go!
Good time with good people

This is one of the best Comedy theaters in the city. polite and helpful staff, very organized. not too big, not too small. BYOB. I have seen many amazing comedians here and enjoy my experience each time. they have great line ups of popular and noise comedians. Cheap, great comedy. A must do in the city!! More...
This comedy theater is a great place to find new and experimental comedic voices taking risks and pushing the art form of comedy. I spent a week in Philadelphia and I went there 3 times, each time I saw a different show, sketch comedy, standup and improv! Each show made me double over laughing. The staff is incredibly helpful, the facilities are impeccably clean and the venue is an intimate black box setup with perfect visibility in any seat. What a tremendous place that supports live comedy. I would definitely come back here on my next trip to Philadelphia! For sure the highlight of my trip! More...
I love good good and Aaron and Kate! Great space and place to see up and coming Comics without the 2 drink minimum!
Love this place! Unique, funny sketch comedy and stand-up. A really talented bunch of folks! Must check out AT LEAST once.
Went to the "weeding out the stoner" show last Friday. Very funny gamre show type and something fun & different to do on a Friday night! BYOB and snacks for sale in the lobby. Get there early for a good seat it's a small space. I will be back to see the stand up shows More...
Very small, intimate, fun space. Great spot to support independent comedy. Go!
So much fun! We sat Ari fishbein sunday night hour. He was really funny. Seats were great. Audio was fantastic. Lights were dynamic. The only think I would ask for is more food options as I am vegan and was a little limited. More...
I never been to a comedy club before. Very impressive and a lot of fun! Keep up the good work team!
Weeding out the stone is a great tradition to attend improve that is intended to be significantly interactive with the audience. It's a great low key environment. They do be good good with their comedy More...
Hoping they'll start the show after getting their Yelp review, as promised on the screen. :)The place is intimate, but I like the cozy connection with the comedians and the audience. Always a good time here.
Small and quaint but lots of fun. Had a line out the door and it took a while to get in, but it was worth the wait.
Excellent show tonight with great comedy & improv!
Comedy is so good omg was the first time i ever happened to be the one who was born in a row of god king king queen queen king queen bed queen queen king queen queen bed queen king queen queen and queen bed sheets for the balcony of queen bed
One of my friends produced a comedy show at this theater, which brought me here. It is a cozy space.
A small theatre with a dedicated staff. The limited number of seats makes for a better show. You can hear performers really well. Instead of feeling claustrophobic, the physical closeness of those sitting around you enhances the enjoyment - laughs are louder, the atmosphere is more exciting. The only downside to the space is that there is only one bathroom in the whole place. Just one. The line to use it can get long at the end of shows, so it might be better to just leave and go when you get home or you next stop. More...
Quick night of fun.they did an amazing job.
I had a great time its a very unique place i laughed the entire time we bought 2 tickets for less the 40$ and its byob
Home of some excellent local comedy shows (Schooled, Make up or Break Up, Justify Your Love, Weeding Out the Stoned) and residencies (Found Footage Festival's VCR Party).
Great shows, great space, cheap, and BYO!! Saw Chris Redd here
Never ever disappoints.
I highly recommend you see a show at this gem of a theater. I came to see Guy Branum on a Saturday night. The theater is small but the crowd is great and it gives a more intimate feel. The place is BYOB (which also means you have to bring your own cup). They also sell some beer & snacks in the lobby. There are a bunch of good restaurants walking distance for before or after the dinner as well. More...
should be called great great or magnificent fantastic or it lit lit or something better than just good good because this is the best place to see comedy performed live in all of Philadelphia
J. Rudy F.
Great theater! I have been here as both a performer and an audience member. They have a great mix of amateur and professional comics, bringing a great mix of standup, sketch, improv, and alt comedy to Philadelphia. They have definitely had a positive impact on the overall comedy scene here! More...
Good good is a good description
No bs service fees when purchasing online. Very small room. Black box. BYOB. Very casual environment. Cash only. They sell snacks like candy bars and other candy.
70ish-seat black box theater with great comedy shows and beer available for donations
I perform there from time to time and I love that we have the location to entertain and be entertained.
Good good never lets you down. All the shows are affordable and always funny. Great small business.
Came here for their "Valentino's" show on Valentines Day. It was $12 a ticket and came with a beer. The room is small so every seat is a good one! The comedians were hilarious. They had a decent mix of men and women comedians. There were 6 of them and each were on for about 10 minutes or so. Good date night at a reasonable price! More...
This was a first at this improv theatre. First of all shout out to anyone having the talent to just jump on stage and perform an improvisation. If you are looking for a professional stand up act then this place may not be for you but otherwise, if your cup of tea is people doing "out of the box" performance, then you most likely will enjoy it. Nice and small setting with up and coming comedians! Great value for your buck
A super cheap and unique date night! We went on Friday night for the joke bath set. It is BYOB so we brought a six pack which cut down the cost of a typical night out. They pretty much seat you first come, first serve, and seat people starting from the front (nearest to the comedian). You can grab some great food in Chinatown beforehand as well! More...
This is a great place to see a comedy show. Right in Chinatown, there are a ton of great places to eat before the show. And, yes, you can bring your own booze (note) that means your own glasses, too. I'd give it a 5 star rating but the venue is so small, they make you wait outside in line if you have tickets for the second show... and if the show goes long you have to edit outside... even in the rain. Also, only 1 unisex bathroom for the entire venue, and after the show with everyone drinking beers, well... get in line! More...
So happy to have this place in town. They have a great variety of comedy acts available pretty much every day. They are always reasonably priced (typically $5) as well. It's a fun, intimate setting where the audience feels like they're part of the show. Note: I believe they are still BYOB, but bring cash for additional snacks or donations. More...
Funny bunch, original show concepts! :)
I have to go with 5 stars for this place! It is my favorite comedy spot in the city. You get to watch a show for $10 and it is BYOB! I have seen multiple shows like "family feud, joke bath, eat your beats" to name a few. My favorite has been eat your beats - i have seen this twice and it has never let me down. Sometimes the comedy can be hit or miss but it is never a total let down and you definitely get your money's worth. Overall, this place is terrific because it is laid back and the crowd has always been excellent too. Great for a night out if you do not want to spend too much money! More...

Cool intimate theatre and BYOB is a huge plus, the only complaint here is there’s only 1 bathroom and the line can get brutal

Great place for comedy. Easily accessible from the Ben Franklin bridge.
Cool venue. Go see Make Up or Break Up on the last Saturday of every month. It's a lot of fun!
Cheap shows and amazing performances! It's a small, informal venue, very friendly people, progressive performers, it's BYOB, they got snacks and sodas and stuff at the front for cheap.
I'll start by saying I have never seen a bad show here, one of the best spots for comedy in the city. The theater itself is small but it makes for a community feeling between the audience and the comedian. The staff is always friendly AND it's byob. More...
Intimate venue with some great talent. Make sure to BYOB! Beer store right across the street.

It was an awesome night out and the comedians were really funny. We came for the “Roast of your 15 year old self” and it was excellent. Great location, great set up, great customer service and right in Chinatown, which made for an even better night! More...
Cool place that works hard and adds a lot to the Philly comedy scene. It's cheap and you can BYO.
I'm so biased but Good Good is really something special. You aren't going to see these type of experimental crazy off the wall shows anywhere else in philly. Cash only, unless bought online. BYOB. Every seat is a good seat. Cheap tickets. No BS. Do a mic, volunteer, see a show, take a class, hang out w the comics. It's lit. More...
Great comedy at a great price.
Thank you, sweet baby Jesus, for giving us a comedy club that doesn't break the bank and brings in talent that is more than dudes with dong jokes.
Fun venue. Exciting shows. Friendly staff.
Laughter is still the best medicine. Available here at doses from $5 - $12. Free if you want to do standup at Sunday open mic ($5 if you want to watch). Best deal in town.
Saw Maria Bamford for one of her extra performances in Philly. The place is essentially a blackbox, but it gets but job done. They had a great selection of drinks and snacks to purchase before going in and it didn't take long for the show to start once they seated everyone. They are really efficient getting everyone into the theater and seated. My seat was on but far right against a wall, so I was thrilled that at no point in time would I have to move for anyone else. Lighting was great, sound too; didn't miss a word. I joined their newsletter subscription list, so I'm on the lookout for the next show that fits my humour. Check 'em out. They do a bunch of stuff there according to their website. You might find something that interests you. More...

Cheap laughs in a BYOB setting
Seriously best comedy venue in Philly. Lots of shows all the time, big names come through, hosted by two of the greatest assets we have to the philly community Aaron and Kate. Support them and go see shows!!
Really good open mic night with a great variety of comics and acts, and the average level of hilariousness was well above some of the other open mic nights I've been to (thanks for setting the bar low, Spokane). Liked the BYOB aspect (bring your own cups or pay a small fee for paper ones there). Intimate theater so try not to take a friend that might turn out to be a comedy talker. Like I did. Anyway, would definitely go back next time I'm in Philly. More...
Great hidden gem. Hilarious talent & it's BYOB.
Well worth it
Really good, very tiny improv comedy venue... A good group of people. Very fair price
Nice. Small. Intimate. Do an open mic.

Great comedy for great prices and BYOB!
Cheap shows every night! Stand up, sketch, storytelling. Oodles of variety and BYOB! Most shows are $5-$10. You can also buy tickets through their website fee-free. I've been to several different shows, never seen a bad one. Great place for just stopping by and seeing what's happening. More...

Cozy comedy club with plenty of shows to choose from!
Small venue but great comics
BYOB, great value, always a good time
I've seen about 4 different shows from here. 3 of them were HILARIOUS and made for a memorable night out. The last one was an open mic night, so it doesn't really count. Of the shows put on here, I feel I can say that they are all fantastic overall. More...
Great comedy great price.
Always a great time!
Favorite space to see cheap live comedy in Philly. An awesome place to see local stand up, sketch and improv. PLUS a ton great out of town acts and unique shows with unique premises that you can't see anywhere else.

Unique live comedy shows, and a growing number of out-of-town performers as well. The place to go for stuff outside the standard stand up / sketch / improv (but they have that also!) And cheap too!

Good Good Comedy is the kind of place every comedian dreams of opening. It’s a wonderland.
Mix of funny local and regional comedians. It's byob, you can expect to have a good time.
I've been to Good Good Comedy Theatre twice now, both times to see specific stand-ups (in from NYC both times) - but I definitely want to come back for some of their regular shows, which look like a lot of fun.I love the intimate, tight-knit, supportive vibe of the whole space. It seems super welcoming to folks of all backgrounds in search of having a good time and laughing. Both times, i've been seated in the first few rows, having great seats. I wonder what the view/seating is like towards the back, but I'm sure it's still a fun time! More...
This place is a really fun overlooked hidden gem in Philly. I've been here a total of 5 times and every time our shows have been unique but the experience was always solid. A few friends and I checked out the Joke Bath Show on Friday night with a showcase of a bunch of stand up comedians. As soon as we walked in we were offered free (probably Natty or Miller). But still, it was free and a nice touch. We already prepped and BYOB so we didn't take any. Cheap tickets, BYOB , chill ambiance. Do yourself and these cheeky comedians a favor and check out Good Good! More...
Best place to see comedy in Philadelphia, always fun always affordableSmallish intimate space, lots of variety in shows, BYOB etc :-)
Great venue! Such a cool and fun space. BYOB too Impressive acts. Dan Clark and Hannah Kleponis killed it on Make up or break up. LMAO So
Wow what a hidden gem. I'm kind of upset that I found this comedy theater a few months before leaving Philly. It's fantastic! My girlfriend and I have been here about 5 times. Only one of the shoes was a miss but hey, that's comedy! The shows are always cheap as heck and best of all ITS BYOB. it's in china town so you can either fill up on grub before or after the show super easily. They sell snacks there too! Some of their shows they give away free beer to everyone. That's usually one can of Genesse beer. Get on their mailing list so you know what's going down! Btw: when you get to the theater and have already purchased online tickets go ahead and enter. They will greet you and check you in. Then you have to stand in line outside until the doors open. They will then seat you. They always tell you where to sit but don't be scared to tell them you prefer another seat. It's first come first served and I can't blame you if you don't want to be in the first row of a comedy show! They definitely do interact with the audience sometimes! Also pro tip: don't get there late. They seat you on the literally stage floor. More...
Chill comedy venue. Lots of good shows. Good to buy tickets ahead of time online (no fees). I've been several times and never had a bad time.
Super cheap and fun! Great venue and hilarious show. Loved that it was BYOB and there were places nearby to get alcohol if you needed it. Would definitely come back for another show. More...
Went to the 3/24 10 o'clock show and had a blast.. Cheap , Funny and Free Beer!! You can't beat that!
I went to Good Good for one of their $5 one minute monologues and it was refreshing! I loved seeing all of the different personas and the flow of the show - a definite must-see! The orchestration of the show was close to flawless from the quick lighting changes to timely introductions by the host, and the effort of each performer getting through their whole skit in a minute. It was inspiring and gave me a brief thought that maybe I could prepare for a one minute monologue someday. The venue itself was intimate and hidden, but not at all hard to find good seats - actually, they're all good seats! The staff was very friendly and informative at the check-in table. And while we waited for the show to begin, there was a big TV screen that advertised future events at Good Good. More...
Cute spot in Chinatown. There website is great and really let's you know what shows/comics are booked for weeks in advance. Intimate shows that are BYOB. Buy some candy in the lobby and enjoy. Personally came for the Love/Hate John Mayer show and both comics made for an enjoyable experience. More...
It has been way overdue for me to go to to Good Good. I was a loyal attendee of Aaron Nevin's shows before the theater opened and then the dilemma of choice at Good Good prevented me from making it (there's literally shows every night, so you can go WHENEVER meaning I NEVER went). When a friend had a show here, it was finally my time to check it out. It's a very small venue, I'd say 50 seats-ish. What that means, imho, is if there's someone you like scheduled here, BUY TICKETS IMMEDIATELY. I love small venues. Is it fancy? No. But it's BYOB versus any comedy club hustling you for a 2 item minimum. Adjust your expectations. Get a beer or some bubble tea and enjoy your darn self. If you don't like one show, try it again. The venue doesn't control everything in the world, and you're paying between $5-15 for a show. Again, adjust your expectations accordingly. Give something new a try. Support local comedy! More...
Best shows. Best prices. Nice people. Who needs NYC when these folks are 1st rate. I really like What's My Line?
$12 for a fantastic comedy experience by the n crowd and byob. Definitely a hidden gem of philadelphia i am going to suggest to everyone
Great place! Fun for late night hang out, went here unknowingly but it was fun. I would definitely come back to see what the other shows have to offer. The host Doogie was my fav, and I loved the interaction all the comedians were working. I will be telling my friends about this place! Keep up the great work and realness! Thanks for a great date night! More...
Good Good Comedy Theatre is the BEST venue to see live comedy in Philly. They showcase amazing local comedians and bring in up-and-coming comedians from NYC, LA, and elsewhere at super wallet-friendly prices. It's a really impressive operation, especially considering the fact that it hasn't even been open for a year! If you're into weird and wonderful things, you have to go there. And then go again. Trust me, it's a good habit that you should never kick. More...
For $5 and being all ages, the show that we saw (Get In) was pretty good. Some people are not funny, but they were only on for like 15 minutes so it was manageable to get through. A few were super funny and it was a great time. Me and my husband had a really great night here! More...

I love this place! Great comedy that's different from everywhere else, and super affordable! It's obvious a lot of heart and soul goes into this.
Really great theater. They have a bunch of great shows every night and tickets are $5. Plus it's BYOB.
This place is very good. Candy selection is top notch. Varied soda brands. Great service. You may choose to stay for a comedy show after purchasing your snacks, many of which are as good as the candy.
locally sourced, grass fed, organic comedy. this is my fav spot to see performers and everyday is a new show from the most creative voices in philadelphia.
Best place for comedy in Philly, hands down. The owners are dedicated to nurturing the comedy community and their passion is obvious in every aspect of the business.

Hilarious and BYOB! You have to go to Eat Your Beats! Other shows have not been as impressive but we attend EYB ever single month!

Good Good Comedy provides the perfect night out for any broke college kid, or just anybody looking for a lowkey or last-minute night out. The theatre is cozy and the comedians are usually at least decent, if not hysterical! They have several shows most nights of the week for either $5 or $10- a price that cannot be beat in Philly! It's also BYOB and perfectly located next to dozens of Chinatown restaurants, making it perfect for a date night. If you haven't been here and are looking for a relaxing evening out, I would definitely recommend Good Good- I've been here a dozen times and will definitely be back! Awesome venue. Went last night for the "boast rattle", a compliment contest/reverse roast. Have to admit I figured it'd be hit or miss given the $10 ticket price. The show was tears-streaming-down-your-face hilarious. Loved the intimate size of the place, plus its BYO and they have a decent selection of snacks for sale. They have shows every night of the week, making it a great stop after dinner or drinks in Chinatown. Will be back! More...
Judge the venue not the comedy. Snacks, well painted black walls and floor. Amazing slightly uncoftable chairs perfect for sitting in and laughing.
So glad this place exists! More formal comedy clubs have their place I suppose, but I'll always prefer a less formal environment like this space. And they book great shows!
Damn. The folks at Good Good Comedy are doing incredible things. The shows are consistently hilarious and I know when I show up there I'm gonna have a great time. The small blackbox theatre is perfect for the in-your-face innovative comedy they're making. The performers are not just comedians, they are artists, writers, and damn good performers. My favorite shows to check out at Good Good are definitely "The Slam" a straight-up HILARIOUS show where comedians write poetry. I also love "Talkmasters", a show where people perform speeches they've never seen before while a panel of hilarious comedy writers make a personal speech for an audience member. Oh and another favorite of mine is "Today I Learned" - Where comedians experience hilarious things together and then talk about it on the show the day of. They also are always bringing in out-of-town performers to do shows. I was lucky enough to catch SNL's Julio Torres show there a couple of weeks ago and it was definitely one of the best and most memorable stand-ups I've ever seen.Overall, Good Good is just a fun as heck time. My belly is always hurtin' from laughs when I leave the building. The fact that it's BYOB and usually only $5-$10 bucks a show makes it the perfect place for a broke college kid like me. Honestly if you haven't checked it out already you're missing out on all the fun. More...

Great place for great laughs. Also a plus, they have Genesee Beer from Rochester, NY!
Great show last night! Fun little BYOB theater that puts on multiple shows per night. We had some laughs, cracked open a few beers, and enjoyed the show. Also, the fact that there are about six decent restaurants on the same block doesn't hurt. More...

It's crazy that something like this exists. A small, clean, organized theater presenting local comedy of every stripe, every night, at really, really affordable prices. You'd think something this prolific and inexpensive would have a fratty feel, but it's really professional without being pretentious. The variety is kind of mind boggling. Whatever you're into, they have it, but more importantly, you'll get into something new. I attended a (sold out!) comedic lecture on the scientific theory. There's are also a million yummy, cheap food places within a couple of blocks, making this the perfect unexpected, inexpensive date night. The show coming up after the one I attended sounded really good - if I hadn't needed to get home to my pup, I'd have stayed. Seeing several shows back to back would be a killer way to spend a no-plans evening.I'll be back - and next time I'll hire a dog-sitter and make a night of it. More...

This is the place to go if you want to laugh at unique, inventive shows. They have 4 shows a night and they are all different than what you find at the mainstream 2 drink-minimum clubs in town. Shows with titles like "Ur Mom is Funny", "Tinder Show", and "Weeding Out The Stoned". Shows are cheap (5-10 bucks). Stop looking at Yelp and go to this theater. There's probably something happening there right now and it probably rules. More...
This comedy theater. Man. It's the best. There isn't really anything like this in the world, which is a shame, because Good Good is amazing! You'll love it.
This is the home of alternative comedy in Philadelphia. Some of the absolute trillest and fresh AF comedy in the city. I'm a college kid and I luv it.
Laugh your ×÷=% off shows. I came Friday for two and am back here Sunday. Smart, original, one-of-a-kind entertainment.
