I have used Glebe Handyman exclusively and have gotten outstanding services. I've used them for just about everything. My husband and I hired Glebe Handyman to help with some heavy wall hangings and placing floating Ikea Shelves in our apartment unit. We recently moved into a new apartment complex, and did not have the correct tools to ensure the heavy items were properly fastened to the stud in the wall. In addition, we were worried about doing damage (or drilling several unnecessary holes) that would cost us money with the apartment management in the future. Glebe Handyman was exceptionally responsive to our request (replying within the hour to our initial request for information and quote). In addition, we appreciate the customer service and assistance for such a small job. TIMLINESS: The contractor arrived on time to our apartment, and had all of the necessary tools to assist with the job. In fact, we were really pleased because the contractor made room to squeeze in our job at the end of a normal workday to ensure it would be completed before our parents visited for the Holiday Season. The contractor was organized, tidy, and efficient in completing the requested tasks. KNOW HOW: If you’ve ever tried to install Ikea items, you know it can be tricky and unnecessarily complex. The contractor worked with ease to correctly place the items and ensure that they were level. What would have taken us at least a day to install, was put up with ease by the contractor in a fraction of the time. COST: We reached out to several other vendors, and many had outrageous hourly rates and minimums. Glebe Handyman has a competitive hourly rate, they are honest in their quote/assessment, and their travel fee is minimal. We feel like we got the best service AND the best price by hiring this vendor. In general, this is a wonderful and honest small business.
