George's is the best Greek food around!! First the staff, all are so friendly and welcoming it's like going to a family dinner. The lamb chops are good but I like to try different dishes. Chicken Spanachi is excellent! The chicken isn't dry, it's moist and the light grill on the spinach mixture ( same as spanakopita) gives it a great texture and taste.The entree comes with a delicious Greek salad and if you garlic I recommend the garlic feta fries. It was a pleasure to be served by Brian At George's Greek Café. The environment was relaxed although it was a nippy evening, the fire and the heater kept it warm. Puppies were happy, food was delicious, Drinks are always full without asking, food was plentiful, prices are reasonable and bellies were full.  I cannot recommend a better restaurant in Long Beach. Whether it was the food, the service or the ambiance, or the only place south of Beverly Hills with Saganaki, search is Greek Cafe and Bryan are both five stars in my book. One of my good friends and I meet here sometimes for lunch and we never leave disappointed. I'm crazy about this place! Hands down the best calamari I've ever had. We truly had a five star dining experience here! My husband and I couldn't believe how well our family was treated at this restaurant. We came in after a long and fun day at the aquarium with our toddler. We were seated immediately and offered a highchair without having to ask. Our drink order was taken and promptly filled. Throughout the rest of our meal, I never had to ask directly for a water refill because the team here was so adept at keeping us hydrated. We ordered the flaming cheese, a falafel gyro plate, a bowl of avgolemono, and a build-your-grill gyro meat plate. The cheese came out while I was in the restroom (very clean!) and they waited to light it until I got back. Not only was it a fun table side experience, the actual cheese plate was just delicious. Our toddler happily noshed the pita and olives while my husband and I selfishly ate the cheese (we just don't like olives, don't hate us). Both of our main courses, shared with our little one, were excellent. We couldn't believe how well prepared everything was. Some Greek restaurant food is greasy, and that was not the case here. Even the steamed vegetables were deliciously though lightly seasoned. Avgolemono is one of my favorite soups, and this bowl really hit the spot. Alongside the food being so good, our server Janet was helpful, friendly, and warm. She was delighted by our little one, and they kept each other smiling all night. Sometimes when you go to a restaurant with a small child, they get ignored or treated like a nuisance, and that was so not the case here. While our kid ate and played, Janet and her coworkers checked in on him and engaged with him. Sometimes he is shy with strangers, and he definitely wasn't with Janet. No one on staff, including the GM Shanyce, minded that our kiddo was dancing in the aisles and pushing his highchair around like a truck. They even gave us a cookie for the road, and my little one let Janet pick him up for a big hug. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in the area. Thank you George's! More...

They set the cheese on fire as a little show for us, which was fun! The dish came with pita bread slices, which tasted great with the cheese. So salty and flavorful. A super cute cafe in Long Beach that makes for a great dining option if you're in the area.  The waitstaff is all very friendly and they make you feel right at home when you get there.  We had made a reservation, but because it was a weekday and the restaurant is pretty large we honestly didn't need it.  We ended up getting the appetizer sampler, the cheese they light on fire (very fun) and the lamb chops.  Everything was solid overall.  My favorite item was actually one of the bites on the appetizer sampler which was a stuffed falafel that had gyro meat in it.  So much tastiness.  I would probably lean more into items like that if I were to come back. I've been going to George's for years (different locations although this is the closest to my house.)  The food has always been good.  I usually like to stop in with my family but this past Saturday evening (right in the middle of the dinner rush mind you) my wife and I were tired and my daughter had just fallen asleep so we decided to use postmates.Unfortunately there was a mix-up and the postmates delivery person only brought 1/3rd of the offer. I called the restaurant and the manager was understanding of my situation and very helpful and the correct order was sent to me.  The food was incredible; honestly best I've had.  I got the Gyro plate (delicious as always) with a side of veggies/salad, wife ordered the chicken spanachi which stole the show, and we ordered the combo appetizer (dolmathes were the highlight; different than any you've likely had.)  The manager and delivery driver really went out of their way to fix a problem and make me feel important; something not that common anymore.  Food: 10/10Service: 10/10Georges you definitely have and kept a customer for life out of me - thanks to your staff and amazing food.  Sorry for any headaches my order caused - next time we order George's I'll phone in takeout and pick it up as Postmates/Doordash/etc is causing headaches lately everywhere. Yoooo this place was bomb in every category.Ya girl was hongry, so my homie and I got the Combo platter. Killedt it. Ordered quaaality Old Fashioneds from the cutie patootie bartender who is part of my fellow tribe, LIBRA GANG. (I forgot his name but he had a sick shirt and cute double fanny pack - you rock). I got the falafel gyro. Broooo, their falafel is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Versus the rock hard falafel I've had in the past that snap my plastic forks in half...Their staff was so attentive. My ultimate fave....JANETH. THE HOMIE! So this is a review for my fellow vegetarians out there because obviously I didn't eat any meat and all of my meat eating friends seem to love this place. I got the falafel and I am sad to say that I'm not really a fan. It tasted so dry and they didn't have any sauce to go with it that I ended up asking for tzatziki just so I could taste something while I ate it... I will say, the fiery feta is pretty tasty if you just want something small to get you through a dinner with friends. We came in I believe on a Monday or Tuesday we were greeted at the door, a nice host was holding the door for us to come in and seated us right away.  Our server came right away to introduce himself and helps us guide our way this the menu because it was our first time here. He suggested the lamb chops which btw were deliciously tender and juicy and my husband can't wait to go back and get the 8 piece plate(haha). I ordered the lamb gyros I believe, sorry bad with names.
