Hired Gee to come out and do some troubleshooting on my HVAC system. They (specifically Clay) just delivered what I would consider to be one of the finest customer service experience I've ever enjoyed. From the easy on-line scheduling and prompt responses over the weekend to excellent communications immediately prior to our appointment, I never had to wonder what was going on. amazing company! came out same day when our AC went out fixed our problem instantly. that technician set up someone to come out to give us an estimate on equipment prices and came out the next day! when that gentleman was here he noticed our fan was continuously running through our thermostat and set a tech out to fix it and he was here within minutes and went above and beyond to fix a hole that was put in the wall by my husband next to the thermostat! very reasonably priced and great customer service! definatly know who we will go to when something happens!!!! My AC system had not been working for almost 2 weeks while I was fighting with American Home Shield to try to get it repaired. AHS told me they could not fix it and stiffed me on my claim. The marine air in our houseboat died, so we called McGee out of Hartwell. We'd never used them before, but had heard positive comments about them. They dispatched Chris out the next morning & he diagnosed the problem very quickly. It required a pump that had to be ordered, which they did. They called the day it came in & sent Chris back out early the next morning. He did a fantastic job of installing the new pump, plus some other work we'd asked for. And of course, these things always happen when the weather is at its worst. The heat has been miserable. My heart went out to him working in the hole of a very hot boat, but he never complained - just got it done. The boat is again a comfortable 72 degrees. So glad we made the call to McGee! More...

Gee hvac saved the day. I wake up a Friday in July and the house is 81 degrees inside. By lunch I'm good to go.I never heard of Gee until the local company turned me down and was very rude. I called Gee and they have the best customer service I've ever experienced. Lydia was so nice and 2 seconds after placing the service call I receive a confirmation text. A little later I get a text with not only a picture and background profile of the tech coming but a link to track his location and arrival time. Less than 3 hours from the initial call the tech arrives and I have AC again for the weekend. 100 thumbs up ! More...

I had a Trane for 22 years and I was pleased with it, but it was time for a new unit. John was very thorough in assessing my needs (measurements, type of equipment, etc. ) during his visit. We have had McGee as our service company for 5 years, always had good service we thought LOL till wehad David Cook as our guy, nothing bad to say about the others but David goes above and beyond with his service, some of the out side parts were rusty, he painted them when he puts in new filters he vacuums out the area where the filter goes and so much more. Just want to give a shout out to Gee Heating and Air. The person who has been our heating/air tech for over 25 years wouldn’t even give us a call back today when our air was totally off! Rodney called Tim Gee this morning about 9:30, and they came out today to take care of a brand new customer! We ended up having to replace our unit. They came at 3:30, and by 7:30, they had replaced our unit and had our air back on! I love good customer service and I’d highly recommend them! Great company and has definitely helped us out in our time of need. 24/7 live operator I believe. When they couldn't fix the a/c in time for a neighborhood event they brought in portable a/c units. They also Installed an HVAC unit in my moms rental house. Price was fair and they were very patient with my mom. It could have gone smoother as we had to call back for the tenants several times to get the unit to start cooling after installation. However, no problems since. Sadly, just found out they don't do plumbing although their name came up when I Yelped plumbers. Overall very good value for your money spent! More...

I had a failure of my A/C unit on Wednesday night. Lance got to my house within a couple of hours of us calling for service on Thursday morning. He figured out what the problem was, and the part needed to fix wasn't expected to come in until Monday or Tuesday of next week. When I told the crew I had family coming to enjoy the eclipse with us, they pushed to get the part by Friday, and Lance came back out Friday afternoon and had us up and running again before guests started arriving yesterday morning. During an extreme cold spell this week at our home in Lake Hartwell we noticed our heating system was having a difficult time reaching temperature and that the system seemed to run constantly. We do not live here full time as this is our second home and we were there for the weekend. We finished our basement in 2010 and had a new Trane system installed by McGee and it has worked flawlessly up to this point. I called about possible service the next day as I knew their service folks would be very busy during this cold snap and snowfall. The lady (Anne) was extremely polite, asked what the issue was, took down my name and number and said she would have the technician call before coming out. Three hours later the phone rang and the technician (Lance) said he would arrive in about 15 minutes. Ten minutes later he was at the door. Lance was fast and efficient and explained to me his every move in testing the system, identifying the problem, and recommending procedures for us to better manage our heating and air needs to help keep energy costs down. Upon completion of the indoor system Lance went outside to check the compressor, etc. Upon his return he entered with invoice in hand to inform me there was good news and bad. The bad news was that there was an expansion valve faulty in the unit and a new part would be ordered. The good news was the part will be adequate for our needs until a new part was installed as it was functioning but not as efficiently as it should be. The really good news was that the invoice amount was zero as we have a ten year warranty on our system so no charge for service call or parts. I hope Lance is the one to return and install the new part, as he was very personable and professional. To say we are pleased with Mc Gee in Hartwell would be an understatement. Anderson guys installed our unit 4 years ago. Had a manufactured defect and lost our cooling. Called them on Saturday and Monday a senior tech came out and made some temporary repairs. Told me the problems and would order the parts as soon he could. Instead of being the next week, parts came in and they had my unit fixed like new on Friday. Warranty covered it all.
