The dinner food is wonderful, the staff is great. The brunch leaves a lot to be desired. Only a handful of options, nothing special. Attended a "whole goat" roast for a holiday party at Frontier. All of the food was amazing, will be back and the service was excellent. I found Frontier on a quick Google search for where to watch the Saints game in Chicago. This place did not disappoint. I love trying what places outside of Louisiana consider “New Orleans style” cuisine. Frontier hits the nail on the head. The red beans, shrimp poboy, and seafood mac were spot on. Quite the place! I had no idea what kind of food the place served, just that it was close to the Chopin Theatre. I love Frontier, but the last two times I had a whole meat package our service was extremely below par. It took 45min to get drinks when the restaurant was dead a few weeks ago. Not good.

Our vendor had a private dinner here after a tradeshow. This food was out of this world. We had beef ribs, whole pig and so many appetizer options. This is a Bar BQ oriented restaurant in Chicago where our family had a rehearsal dinner. We were in the separate area that looks like it would be an outdoor patio in summer. It had a big warm fireplace with comfortable seating. The food was very good with smoked ribs and brisket that were cooked to perfection without being overdone. The whole animal experience is completely worth it. Absolutely delicious and you get to taste every part of the animal and how different it can be depending on the cut. The lamb burger is absolutely delicious...no..for real..delicious! The waitress asked if i had any food allergies (yes I do), THEN I was asked if cross contamination was an issue for me (YES IT IS)! It might not seem like much to you, but for someone like me, with severe allergies, its a big deal. Cross contamination is a question that im never asked about(and find out the hard way). The food is great, but the timing was nonexistant. Our entrees come out between 20 and 30 min apart. The first people were done before the last got there food. The char broiled oysters are amazing, definitely get those. Maybe even get two orders, with 3 girls we originally ordered 1 order and decided another round was a great idea as soon as they were done. The remaining dishes are a hit or miss. I got the antelope sandwich which was very very good, a friend ordered the steak and it was ok but didn't really knock our socks off.Definitely come here for happy hour, they have $1 oyster specials which were solid.
