This is probably one of my favorite places to be. I did the 28 day challenge, it was a great jump start to getting back into being consistent about working out and eating  well.  The workout,  meal plan on top of how motivating Jorge was through the whole 28 days was super awesome. I couldn't have asked for a better way to get back into a healthy lifestyle with super awesome support. Through out the challenge you never really feel like you're going at it alone because they have a Facebook group that's really cool to read and be a part of. You're not only being inspired and motivated through work outs and eating well. Also through positive lifestyle changes.The classes themselves are a ton of fun. They're intense and well worth it. If you need help during the classes or need to be corrected in how you're doing the excercises it's all done in a positive way. It's also fun because of the non- intimidating, supportive, welcoming energy Brickhouse has all around. Also the gym is super clean which is a million times a plus ! :) More...

Brick House is the best gym around! I have been coming here for ~1 year, and I have only had great experiences. The coaches are really experienced, down to earth, and committed to helping everyone who comes in the door, and the members are all really welcoming and fun. I have done 2 challenges with them and lost 13lbs in the first one and >8lbs in the second one. Highly recommend checking this place out. More...

Brick House Fitness is more than a gym, it's a community! I've been a member of BHF for over a year and some of my favorite things about this gym are:1) BHF has both bootcamp and crossfit classes. I used to only do crossfit and found myself getting a bit bored, so I'm happy I have variety to choose from! 2) Many scaling options for crossfit! I know a lot of people get nervous when they hear crossfit and imagine super difficult power lifts, but BHF uses a scaling system for beginners, intermediate, and advanced individuals and have a workout for every level. 3) Challenges. I completed the 28 day fitness challenge last month and WOW! I learned so much about nutrition and have tons of clean eating recipes to incorporate into my life! I also lost 3lbs (which before was impossible for me) and my boyfriend lost 7lbs from this challenge. 4) Community. All the coaches @ BHF are friendly, knowledgable, and happy to answer any questions you have! They have helped me with nutrition, mobility, tips with lifting, etc. The members of this gym all so nice and encouraging. I usually go to the 6:30am class and everyone is in a good mood for it being so early on the morning ;)If you're looking for a life style change and to invest in your fitness, I highly encourage you to try a free class here! I went to one of those big corporate gyms for many years, until a friend brought me to Brick House to try out their 6-week Winter Melt Challenge back in January.  It's been so great going to their Boot Camp and CrossFit classes, and the people there are so friendly - I've already made some good friends from this community.  I lost a bunch of weight through their various fitness/weight loss challenges, and my overall fitness has been its best in a long time.  The support from the trainers and the accountability have been awesome!  Jorge, Diego, Rachel, Fred, and Melissa - we love you! I consider my experience with health and fitness a journey that has gone hand and hand with my personal growth and becoming. Becoming my best self, that is. By age 24, I had become the epitome of unhealthy (emotionally, physically, and spiritually) and decided to make a drastic lifestyle change. Change came with time- practicing self-love, trust, and recovering. The first year was brutal. Once I got physically sober (from the drugs and alcohol), everything else surfaced. I gained weight and carried a ton of stress and anxiety in my body. I had unbearable pain from old, neglected injuries. In early recovery, I started to think about the food I was eating and how it contributed to the way I felt. I gave up soda and fast food. I quit smoking. I started hiking with a mentor and then joined 24 hour fitness. This working out thing was really doing something for me and I wanted more. I decided I would train for a marathon and did just that, all the while still struggling with chronic pain in my neck and back. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and an arthritic neck. I tried everything from chiropractic to physical therapy to cortisol injections. Shortly after my first half marathon I took a bad fall and broke my back in two places. It was a slow recovery and hard hit to my progress. About six months later I was back in the gym, running on the treadmill mostly. My weight was at an all time low and pain all time high. I was intimated by the weight room and wasn't too sure what to do in there anyways. CrossFit was something I NEVER thought I could do. My boyfriend kept encouraging me to work on strength training and telling me I would probably really enjoy CrossFit. I decided to step way outside of my comfort zone 3 years ago when I called Jorge at Brick House Fitness to inquire about the beginners class. Why am I telling you all of this on a Yelp review Because this girl has found a solution to chronic pain and a passion for fitness I did not know existed. It serves my mental and physical health. It provides community and connection. We have fun, we celebrate life together- we celebrate health together. At 37 I feel stronger and better than ever. Crossfit is such a huge part of my life and something I look forward to at the end (or beginning) of my work day. I no longer struggle with pain and do not require injections, physical therapy, medications, or anything else. I simply eat nourishing food, drink plenty of water, and strengthen my body. The coaches at Brick House have influenced this incredible change in my life and they probably don't even know it. This is my public thank you to my Brick House family. I've joined this gym a few months ago and I LOVE IT! I recently completed one of their 28 day challenge and boy let me tell you it was AMAZING! It was hard at first following the recipes and what to eat each day but after a few days in, I started feeling a lot better. I was waking up early without felling tired; some days I didn't even needed my cup of coffee. This challenge also helped me eat better, healthier and I also explored eating some vegetables I never heard of before. Overall the gym and this challenge have been great! Just finished one of Brickhouse's challenges that are open to non-members and boy, did I get more than I expected! I'm a beginner to CrossFit and was nervous about the intensity of the workouts but the awesome and knowledgeable trainers guided me through it every step of the way. The meal plans and nutrition advice were solid and easy to follow and I ended up dropping over 6lbs of fat in 4 weeks! Didn't lose muscle (actually gained) and made friends with some really cool people along the way. I have way more energy now in my day to day activities, sleeping better, and am stronger physically and mentally! Highly recommend trying one of their challenges if you're on the fence about the CrossFit program. Afterwards I went for a membership! Looking forward to new lifestyle changes :) More...

I've nothing but positive things to say about my weight loss journey/BHF gym and Diego. To be honest at the beginning I was sceptical he could help me to reach my goal BUT I've dropped off from 163 lbs to 138, lost 8. 3% of body fat and increased my muscle mass in 6 months. There will be  always room to improve but I never felt so good in my entire life: I feel strong, healthy and almost back in shape.Diego keeps pushing me to do my best, he also adjusts my workout based on how I'm doing. No matter what I think was my idea of limit now I can go beyond. He really knows what he's talking about, you can tell he loves what he does. You also get an In-Body scan, a nutrition coaching and guidance.I will be forever thankful to him. More...

Fred made it so easy for me to have fun, learn and be challenged at the same time. We build up strength and corrected my posture and positioning. I definitely got stronger and have control of releasing my muscles so i can be more flexible. Fred explains very well the reason for the exercise and also understands your pace so you don't end up not having fun. We laughed a lot and I'm sure ill be back to training with him. More...

My name is Veronica Cortes and I accomplished the 6 week challenge. Brick House Fitness has been an amazing experience. It has been an unforgettable Journey. I would highly recommend it to anybody that's really trying to lose weight and accomplish their life goal of losing some weight. I've only been using this gym for the last 6 weeks, but my experience so far has been nothing but positive. I cannot say enough about Brickhouse Fitness. I've had trouble in the past being disciplined with workouts and eating habits. I read about the gym through yelp and decided that it was time to make a change.I participated in the 6 week challenge, lost 17lbs and 5.7% of my body fat! I really enjoyed the workouts - each one was different and challenging. The recipe book provided was also pretty good! A lot of the meals I made were quick and easy to prepare and tasted great. The coaches are super friendly and helpful - special thanks to Jorge for helping me! The other gym members are really friendly and encouraging as well. It's a really welcome environment. Participating the the 6 week challenge really opened my eyes and allowed me to see that I am capable living a healthy, active lifestyle. I have no more fear or self doubt. I wish I could give BHF more stars!! I started law school a few months back and I noticed my fitness level decreasing, so I decided to sign up for the 6-week challenge offered here. One of my roommates is already a regular member here, so I had already heard great reviews from her. During the 6 weeks, I took mostly bootcamp classes and a handful of Crossfit classes as well. Jorge, Diego, and Rachael always answered any questions we had and were attentive to technique, ensuring that we avoided injuries. From the coaches to the other members, the support, attention, and positive energy was beyond what I expected. I came in to the gym 3-5 times a week and I ended up shedding 4.1% body fat while putting on 1.1 lbs of muscle. I was introduced to BHF by my husband. I was a bit nervous my first time, thinking I might feel intimidated by the long time practitioners but on the contrary, I felt so welcomed and supported. They teach you about integrating proper nutrition with physical exercise and has raised my understanding to a new level. I went to the Bootcamp classes thrice a week and maintained the diet about 90% of the time for 6 weeks. The classes never get boring and there is always fun element involved along with improving fitness. All the coaches are very knowledgeable on movements as well as fun to work out with. A special shout out to Jorge for being supportive and backing us up. Classes are tracked on an app called wodify which helps you keep a tab on the workouts, repetitions etc. The coaches also organize fun events/competitions outside of the gym which add to the sense of community. I participated in the 6 week challenge and lost almost 12 lbs in just 6 weeks, as well as increasing my strength and stamina. I was extremely out of shape from a sports injury and this was by far the most beginner friendly yet intense, result-driven, positive family vibe gym I've been to. They have something for everyone! My cousin paid for my six week challenge and I'll say it was the best workout experience I've had in a long time. I first started off really unhealthy and completely out of shape, I could barely keep up with the workouts. But as the weeks progressed the workouts got easier and my reps got better. The meal plan is very detailed with the amount of portions eat food category is so there was no worrying of over eating. My overall goal to meet at the end of the six week challenge was to lose 20 pounds and that is exactly what I did. It took hard work and dedication but it was all worth it in the end. I feel amazing and healthy in my own body which was something I couldn't say for a long time. More...

I started coming to Brickhouse Fitness in July 2018, my sister had been going to BHF for a while and had also done the six week challenge. I decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did. During my six weeks at BHF, I dropped 3% body fat and lost 17lbs. I was given all the tools and support I needed from Jorge and the other individuals also doing the challenge. I went from eating whatever to actually paying attention to what I was fueling my body with. Jorge was available to support me with any questions I had and kept me accountable. He, Diego, Melissa and Rachael are very knowledgeable, highly motivating, and kind people. The instructors care about good form when doing the workouts which is really important in my book. Overall,  I've never been in a gym with a better vibe. Instructors are passionate about what they do. I never felt intimidated and every who attends the classes are inviting and encouraging. BRICKHOUSE IS AMAZING!! If I could give his place a million stars.. I would!My fiancé and I just had our daughter 10 months ago. We both gained some weight and plateaued and wanted to get back on track. We were both working out on our own and not getting the results we wanted. And that's where Brickhouse came in. A friend of mine started coming here in the beginning of the year and her results finally convinced me that I needed to join!We both joined the 6 week challenge and we were both so nervous. We didn't think we would be able to do it. But Jorge was an awesome coach and he was really responsive and helpful. Not only that, he was very encouraging and motivating. Any questions we had he was able to answer no matter what day of the week it was. He listened to our goals and our concerns and assured us as long as we put in the work we would be able to achieve them. It doesn't stop there.. we took the boot camp classes and our main coach was Diego. He's great! He's really attentive at your form and wants to ensure your doing things correctly to get the full benefits. In addition, he pushed us to work hard each time we were there. The community and culture of the gym is very welcoming. It's great being able to talk and have fun with other members. Never have we felt intimidated. There are so many people who attend at different fitness levels. And it's great that we all have a common goal, to better ourselves Health and fitness wise. All in all, our experience at Brickhouse has been amazing. It made my fiancé and I more disciplined and allowed us to believe that we can really achieve our fitness goals. Firstly, I want to say that Fred and the Brickhouse team are an amazing group. He is very friendly and easy to talk to.
I approached Coach Fred about some issues I have had with my shoulder and to see if I can get balanced. He scheduled me in and was able to get an assessment such as mobility and posture. He could tell right away that I am over compensating due to my past shoulder injury. After the assessment he explained in detail his previous experiences with other clients and the therapy gun that has helped so many of his clients.
Fred provided my some mobility work and stretches to help with my alignment and then introduced the therapy gun to my shoulder. The therapy gun hurt in a good way! He was very careful and patient with my shoulder and made sure I was ok with the pain. I felt after one session with him, my should felt so much better and mobility was more manageable. He always checks up on me asks how the pain is or if I am felling better. He is just an awesome guy and takes care of is clients.

Brick House Fitness is the epitome of Health and Fitness management. Through their fitness and nutritional curriculum you will gain knowledge on nutrition and learn how to build strength and endurance, while lowering your body fat and gaining muscle! Diego and Jorge are amazing at what they do, highly knowledgeable and all around really great guys, who understand the needs of their ever expanding family (their clients)  I would highly recommend BHF over anything and everything in California! Actually there is no secret. It’s basically understanding your body and engaging proper exercises on how to implimiment them safely. You always make sure that the exercises are achievable, realistic and obtainable. Beginners will need to scale the movements first in order to allow to build around the neuromuscular adaptation before building up strength, flexibilty and cardiovascular. Many people commonly get injured quickly during an exercise because they miss the importance of scaling a workout, and the lack of understanding and educating on how to create an effective workout routine . I’m a soul believer that if you are going to train hard, just train the right way. If you train smart, you will have no problems reaching your fitness goals. I’m very passionate with fitness and health. I love that I’m making a difference in my clients lives. When putting a smile and happy tears in their faces because I helped to make changes in their physical and health, that’s more the enough that I could ever asked for. I treat my clients like my family.

Actually my clients were the ones who inspired and believed in me. They saw solid expertise, potential and a valuable investment in me. If it wasn’t for them, I would of had a difficult time visioning myself not justonly a pro trainer, but as becoming a fitness entrepreneur. I’m not much of a high risk taker, but comfortable to work for someone. One day I was told by one of my client, if I want to own a successful fitness business, you need to take risk, must have talent, and have lots of passion in your profession. So I took that risk and also accepted the worst case scenario if all fails . I’m so glad that I took that risk. It was the best decision I ever made. It was a blessing of disguise.

I believe that I am a very persistent coach with my clients and making sure they stick to their goals. Results is key. Creating a customized workout program that truly works for them and they are satisfied. I hold one of the highly respected and platinum standard fitness and health certification (NASM, EGOSCUE PES, Crossfit LV 1). I’ve been consistently involved in the fitness industry for almost 24 years. I believe in leading by example. I love challenges and I’m always constantly learning. I truly believe that the more I learn , i continually become even better as a Fitness Specialist, and I love to share that knowledge with others. Lastly, it’s very important to create a fitness programs that is fun and challenging, while gaining positive results.
