My fiancee and I were taking a single hour-long course (due to time constraints) to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. For reference purposes, we have a small amount of swing dance experience, but no experience with the Rumba. Not only did Roger have a full choreographed plan ready for us based upon our song, but he was patient and skilled in teaching both of us what the dance would be like. The cost is about the same for advanced private lessons as the labor charge to have your car or washing machine repaired. In each case, hundreds upon thousands hours of training are required to provide the service . The difference is, while your car or washing machine will eventually need to be replaced, your ability to dance will last a lifetime. Not only that, it will get better the more you use it! More...

Natasha W(a fake name) apparently likes to submit bad reviews if you look at her other reviews. After starting with a $50 introductory package which includes 2 private lessons and 2 group classes, You (singles or couples) have the option of continuing with a Basic Social Dance package which averages $28 per class for a combination of private and group lessons. The studio has been in business since 2001; please check their unblemished record with the Better Business Bureau. There was a recent student, however, that was upset that she couldn't use a $39 Groupon to have their wedding dance choreographed and taught to them, even though the Groupon website clearly states that the Groupon can only be used for an introduction to some of the major social dances. My wife and I are taking classes salsa and bachata. The instructors there (ours is Sydney) are SUPER friendly. Mr. Dill (the owner) makes a point to know every student that come and visits. He always greets us by name and with a smile. I don't know how the other studios are, but this one is awesome. I recommend it. More...
