This is more than a restaurant. This is an experience. They should make reservations on Expedia for this place. The creations of the chef are their own cuisine. The popovers are from Alice's wonderland. The service is delightful, thoughtful and charming. The decor is warm and welcoming. I will be back and I will come hungry. More...

Such a quaint place to enjoy a Sunday brunch. The service was excellent. I took my mom here for her birthday and they were so kind to her. Everyone wished her a happy birthday and we started with the zucchini bread and they put a candle in it. The food was fresh and yummy. We had enough to take home for the next day! More...

Absolutely love this place. Three of us went for brunch and I can't ever remember having a better brunch. Steak and eggs were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I definitely recommend counter seating then you can see everything coming out of the kitchen. The breakfast burger, pancakes and cinnamon rolls all looked outrageously good. More...

What a pleasant surprise. This little neighborhood gem had me at popovers all the way to dessert. The atmosphere is cosy and electric. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and they really like where they work, which says lot.Now for the food. Every dish was both a pleasant surprise and delight. I can't tell you how many times I did the happy dance in my seat. The chef clearly enjoys creating both solid dishes and dishes on the fly, which means you will never be bored or get tired of eating here. More...

I have been to some amazing places in this world but this restaurant is beyond 5 stars. The food was so delish and the service was phenomenal. We did the Saturday night 5:30 to 6:30 happy hour. Prices were really reasonable and the choices allowed for an entire dinner meal. We ordered the burger, frites, onion rings and pecan salad. My hubby had Austin brew IPA and I had the Cava. We were so full after that but went for the peanut butter cookie desert which was like the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich I ever had! Topped it off with some coffee. When sitting at the bar you are right in front of the chefs cooking. Its intriguing to watch as they are so intesensely working and really making the food the best! Will be returning soon! More...

Was looking for a good place to get something to eat kinda late in the evening. Saw that Foreign and Domestic was near by so we thought we would give them a try. We arrived just as they were closing for the night. Asked if they had time for 2 more. Was told that they were more than happy to accommodate us so we decided to give them a shot. Glad that we did. The staff was great. My companion has some dietary restriction. They were very helpful and helped to design a dish that she could have. She really enjoyed the roasted cauliflower with lemon thyme, and the red snapper was great. I really enjoyed the Duroc Pork with fingerling potatoes in duck fat. The Pork was perfect and the potatoes decadent. All and all a very satisfying meal. Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend. More...

This was one of the best/coolest experiences my fiancé and I have had. We had an 830 reservation at the bar and when we got there the place was packed! We didn’t get seated until close to 9. It was totally understandable, but they made sure we were taken care of while we waited!! The service was remarkable and we had so much fun talking to everybody and watching the chefs cook. The food was out of this world and they treated us with a couple of dishes that were on the house!! We have eaten at A LOT of restaurants here in Austin but this one left a mark on us. We already have brunch reservations for Sunday! Thank you Foreign & Domestic. Keep doing what y’all are doing!! More...

I just tried Foriegn and Domestic for the first time and I couldn’t be more impressed! I’d give them SIX stars if I could. The atmosphere is amazing and inviting. My servers name was Charlie. He’s one of the most down-to-earth, attentive, and knowledgeable waiters I’ve ever met. He knew everything about their menu as well as the way the chefs prepared the food, he even recommended other spots around the area to try out! Then there was the food... I tried chef Bianca’s mushroom risotto as my main course and it tasted like she put her heart and soul into that dish. Everything they were sending out looked amazing, but I’m worried that if I go back I’ll only want her risotto! I overheard her telling someone that Sarah (one of the owners) taught her everything she knows, but my hats off to Bianca for being such a marvelous culinary student. Their lamb heart starter was to die for. I even had TWO desserts that were magnificent. I’m irrationally excited to try the rest of their menu!!! More...

Went as part of Austin's Restaurant week. Had the Prix Fixe menu. The melon salad was good; carried by the pancetta. The Scallops in the entree were amazing; seared perfectly, yet still delicate inside. Lastly, the pie. The pie was good, served with a crunch oat topping, and ice cream. Probably the least impressive of the 3 course meal, but still good. Sort of 1 note. Lacked the complexity the starter and entree had, and why I'm giving 4.5 stars. Well, I can't give 4.5, and i don't think I can say its 5 stars, so please don't take the 4 star rating to hard.Service was excellent. Parking was a slight inconvenience, but I'll live. More...
