I've NEVER EVER called a restaurant my favorite... EVER! But this place is my idea of what food in Heaven will be like.. . The appetizers are varied as they are amazing! Every single time my hubby and I dine there, I ALWAYS get the Garlic Bone Marrow Soup! It's positively orgasmic... Some day soon I may try the other stuff, lol, but I'm sure they're just as amazing.... I truly love this place!! More...

The variety is amazing and the starters are peculiarly odd yet adventurous in a way that makes you comfortably curious.  Having lived in Hong Kong I was familiar enough with the u detouring concept of the food, but it was still done in a way that was pleasantly surprising. We had a large group so we ate almost all of the starters, then we moved onto a mixed bag of main courses and shared those too.  Don't try to find the best thing for you, just close your eyes, flip a page, and put a finger down.  I call it menu roulette and it's the most fun way for me to pick a dish!Be daring - this is the place to do it! How does one end up at the Food Terminal, you may ask? Well, one must crave adventure, experience hunger and of course have a solid ride. The Food Terminal has been on my list for a while and I'm glad to admit it exceeded my expectations! Walking inside I was expecting a few pop up restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised that it was one restaurant with a lot of space. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is loud but not too loud to the point you can't hear your serve or friend (trust, this is important because you want to rave about your food then share it) The kitchen is open so you can watch the chefs make fresh noodles or the bar tender make drinks. Best of all, the team is efficient and fast! We were seated immediately and our server, Ying, came as soon as we sat down. WARNING! The menu is literally a magazine. The more you flip through, the more you want to order, which is great for the Food Terminal but bad for your pockets. I was so indecisive that I chose the first thing I flipped to which was "Grandma Wonton BBQ Pork with Noddles". This plate has noddles tossed in a sweet soy sauce, tender BBQ'd pork chopped on the side, Fried Shrimp Wontons, Fresh steamed Bok Choi, and topped with a fried egg. My plates presentation was perfect, I didn't exactly know where to begin but I went for the fried wontons. The crown of the Wonton was fresh and crispy. Personal opinion, if it's fried, I want to hear the crunch as I bite into it and this wonton had that. As I continued biting into my wonton the texture became less crunchy and more smooth. Soon my mouth was full of fresh shrimp and filling. Next, I moved on to my noodles. I figured since they were tossed that a lot of the sauce would be on the bottom, so I mixed the noodles with the BBQ pork.  Individually, the noodles were perfectly al dente. The sauce was sweet and savory and the pork was tender! My partner order the Szechuan Beef Noddles. I love a good bowl of broth and Noddles so I had to steal some of hers. The beef was tender, literally melted in my mouth with the broth. The noodles, perfectly al dente && the topping of chives and red pepper flakes set this dish for perfection. This is the perfect dish for cold fall/winter days or when you're sick and need some food love. The fish was flavorful, I just wish it was spicier. I know Szechuan to be spicy and this was very mild but still delicious. We also ordered 2 appetizers, Curry Fish Balls and Szechuan Steam Wontons. I've never ordered 2 additional sides before but the food was that good. If I could've ordered the entire menu, I would've and I would not regret my decision. I've had fish balls with a spicy beef broth and it's good but putting them in curry was life changing for me. The curry gave the fish balls a sweet taste, but there was also a bit of spice from the oil it was mixed with. Also drinking the broth from this dish is amazing and will cure anything (I'm convinced). The Szechuan Steamed Wontons were piping hot. The dough was soft, and the sauce was delicious. I'm writing this review and I'm drooling thinking about how good this meal was. For 2 main dishes, a coke and 2 appetizers our total was $42 (rounding). We will be back and I recommend this spot 10/10 More...

Oh my goodness,  I am full. Thank you to Cindy our server. The tofu avocado salad is the perfect size to split as an appetizer.  The braised beef noodles are very tasty...the beef is so tender. My husband had the mango tofu...just enough heat in the spice paired with just enough mango/sauce...the tofu was crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle.  This is our 1st time eating here and we will be back. Thank you and Happy Holidays! More...

Whenever I drive down Buford, I always pass this restaurant and man I wish I found out about it sooner. Walking in, you can smell the aroma of all the different foods they are cooking in their open kitchen. We were promptly seated and already getting super excited because of all the delicious dishes people had already ordered. We sat down and were amazed with the menu. A magazine filled with all the pictures of the food they offered... I'd never seen anything like it! If you wanted something and were unsure, at least you could see if it passed the eye test ( which would be a difficult task since all the food looked amazing!). I decided to go with Laksa since I'd never tried it before and was happy with my decision. It's almost like a ramen but not as thick, but just as flavorful! Samosas were alright but not amazing. I was impressed with their entrees as well as the atmosphere! Definitely give this place a try if you're in Buford! More...

Yes I like it!   I have been to this location twice this week and to the Midtown one once this week.     They have loads of choices, the Buford location has more choices, and I have liked everything except one thing. The Nori Nori roiling plate. I dont see that many ordering a roiling place but the first time I saw one it was pretty impressive to look at.  So I thought, Im going to try one soon.So I did. There is egg in the bottom, seaweed, fish flakes, but its mostly a rice dish. It looks very nice. Its large and sizzling and fun I guess. The waiter will ask if you want them to mix it as it comes in a big mound. The problem with these big hot plates is that they are so hot that the food gets very dry very fast. SO if you get one use the scoop and transfer it to plates ASAP.  The fish flakes moved due to the heat and steam and looked like something live from the sea. Movement is from heat and steam. Within just a few minutes the food was all dried out. So be careful if you order one of those and get it out of there fast onto a plate.   Everything else I have had I have loved. The roti is good but there is only one and the sauce is a rather small quantity. Another Malaysian place gives 2 roti and 3 times the sauce for the same price.  My favorite so far is the Kari spare ribs in the soup, served in the big bowl. Oh thats so goooood! There is a Kari Spare ribs without the soup too so be careful which you want before ordering.  The help is very nice. Amazing since its so hard to get decent help nowdays so the boss is doing very well to get such a good staff overall.   I enjoy the magazine menu. Having good pictures makes eating much more fun. They have a separate booklet just for the desserts, but I dont do desserts anymore due to the sugars.   They have a big Christmas tree up at the Buford location now that its is December.  Parking at times is tough  at the Buford location as you share with many other stores and the "Farmers Market" More...

While I do think the food here is a bit overhyped, it's still tasty and of good quality. What makes Food Terminal so great is the ambience/decor, the large variety of menu items, and the unique presentation of their food - making this a fun, trendy place to eat. The decor is modern and there is a lively vibe about the place; nice for a date spot or casual hangout with friends. The interior itself is very open and spacious. Great for large groups. The menu comes in the form of a magazine which I thought was very cool, and it has colorful pictures of most of the food items. The food selection is huge, there's so much variety. Noodle soups, dry noodles, curry, rice dishes, bbq skewers, roti plates, and rolling hot plates (rice dishes mixed with veggies and meat on a sizzling hot plate) are just some of the items you can find at Food Terminal. The menu consists of Malaysian, Chinese, Indian, and other Asian-fusion inspired dishes. Prices for entrees are in the $10-$13 range but there are pricier items as well up to $22 (especially for plates for sharing). Once you have decided on what to eat, you mark down the items you want on the slip of paper at your table and your server will take it. Here is what I've tried:- Kari Chicken Noodle Soup- Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup- Beef Rendang Roti Plate- Pan Mee Tossed Noodle- Black Pepper Rolling Hot Plate - Tom Yum Rolling Hot Platw- Honey Butter Wings- Chinese Broccoli w/ Oyster Sauce - Thai TeaKari Chicken Noodle Soup - Although not explicitly stated this is Food Terminal's take on curry laksa. I really enjoyed this dish as it has a nice curry and coconut flavor. However it is pretty savory and rich especially for those who have not had this dish before or who aren't used to eating curry as a soup.Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup - This was just okay. Not that spicy. Broth was bland but they give a generous amount of beef chunks. Beef Rendang Roti Plate - This was a good dish. But it is a small plate if anything and the price on the menu reflects that. It comes with a scoop of beef Rendang curry and one small roti. I really wish it was a bigger dish. What am I supposed to do with one roti? It would be nice if they gave two roti or sold roti on the side so people could order extra if they wanted it. The beef Rendang is delicious (not spicy for me) and the roti was really good too.Pan Mee Tossed Noodle - It's okay. It would be nice if the chicken was more well-seasoned but the anchovies give the dish a nice crunch.Black Pepper Rolling Hot Plate - Okay. The black pepper was overpowering and made the dish spicy. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that or if they put top much black pepper. The black pepper paste did not spread out evenly throughout the dish even though it was mixed together, so there were occasional large chunks of black pepper paste here and there.   Tom Yum Rolling Plate - Really good and flavorful. Nice tom-yum flavor. I recommend this one.Honey Butter Wings - Tasty! Wings were nice and crispy. But some of the wings weren't as flavorful as others so that was odd. The plate comes with a green dipping sauce but it doesn't complement the wings, they're good without it.Chinese Broccoli w/ Oyster Sauce - Good. It's hard to mess this one up.Thai Tea - Good. My mom liked this one and it wasn't too sweet. Service is a hit or miss here. Overall nothing here at Food Terminal gives me cravings to come back. The food isn't bad by any means, it's decent and tasty but I think the atmosphere/ambience   of the restaurant exceeds the taste of the food. It's a nice place to go to for a trendy, unique, enjoyable dining experience without feeling like a tourist trap. And for that reason I give it 4 stars.  I'll be back, perhaps I just need to try more food. More...

The menu has so many appetizing photos to choose from, it makes it hard to choose. The Unagi (eel) Crispy Bao has a great combo of textures, from the soft avocado to the initial crispy bread that then melts in your mouth, this little sandwich is perfection!  The Szchechuan wontons are also delicious and filled with a combo of sweet and spicy flavoring. Now for the Garlic Bone Marrow soup! I was amazed at the flavor. It's some of the best broth I've had in a long time.
