I never post reviews but my wife and I are so thrilled with Ray and his training —actually grateful is a better way to describe it. Our Boxer (Hank) was crazy before we dropped him off
- he wouldn’t stop jumping on people. We couldn’t take him for long walks because he was he would pull.
We couldn’t take him to the beach and let him off leash to run because he would be gone. He was too energetic with kids and guests- he would jump on them and would not listed to us. Having guests over was stressful because we couldn’t control Hank . We had to do something so we contacted Ray. After a week with Ray, my wife and I were on our way to our first training and we were laughing saying Ray is going to give him back and say he can’t be trained. When we got there we were shocked we seriously thought he switched Hank out for another dog.
After two and a half weeks you would not believe this was the same dog. It’s been a month and this dog is no joke awesome to be around I take him to the beach and people comment on how well trained he is. I don’t need a leash and he walks by my side I let him go run and call him back and he comes and sits by my side.
The best part of all this we had a family party and everyone was shocked at Hank’s behavior and how he was behaving. This was honestly the best money I have spent in a long time I’m so grateful for Ray. Oh and what a great guy he is- he is so nice- we enjoyed our training sessions. Hank has retained his lovable, quirky personality - he just listens now!

We adopted a puppy lab/boxer mix named Danny (currently 5 months old). As he began to settle in with us, we noticed he would bark, and cry whenever we left him alone in his crate. And when I say bark and cry, I'm under selling it. He would bite at the crate and salivate every where. His barks were so loud and could be heard from two blocks away. We couldn't leave the house without him because of how worked up he would get. We felt like this was something that he would never get over. A friend of mine had mentioned he had worked with Ray a while back, so my wife and I decided to reach out to see if he could help. After discussing Danny's unwanted behaviors with Ray, he assured us that he had seen this many times before. We decided to sign Danny up for the 7 Day Board and Train program. Between the time we first spoke until after he was finished with the program, Ray was and is always readily available for help/questions. Danny has completely changed since finishing this program. The Crate:His behavior is completely different. If we tell him "Danny, crate!", he will go straight to his crate and lay down. We can now leave him in his crate and he doesn't bark and bite his way into insanity.Leash training:Before the program, Danny began pulling a lot on the leash. Now, when walking him, Danny heels to my left side and goes where I direct him.Place:We have a dog cot setup in our living room where he will immediately go to if we tell him. Not only that but he will automatically lay down. Door training:When told, Danny will sit at the door and wait to be told before going through an open door way. Stay:This was one thing in particular I thought was great. Ray teaches an implied stay. So when telling Danny sit or down (which he now does great!), he will not move until we give him the signal. Overall, Ray is very professional and knows so much about what he does. Working with him has been so great. My wife and I are already talking about sending Danny back with Ray for the next level of training. Ray, thank you so much for putting our minds at ease and helping us tap into our pups full potential in being a great dog! We will be seeing you soon! More...

Heard many great things about this place I have not personally going to them yet where is a little out of my price range does cost a lot to have good training for your animal but if you get the extra funds and really would like a good trained dog I would definitely give him a call and see what he can do for you couple of people I know I've had their dogs trained and they are well-behaved and listen to almost everything that they say

We brought Roman, our 7 month old German Shepherd, to Ray. He was highly sensitive and seemed fearful. We chose the board and train program and could not be happier with our decision. The change in Roman was like night and day. He is now comfortable around both people and other dogs, and he follows all the commands. Ray also has been great if we have a question about his behavior, we will text him and he gets back to us ASAP. We couldn’t recommend a better guy! A++ More...

After my very first phone call with Ray, I felt confident that he really listened to me and understood what I was going through with my dog. He also made me feel comfortable talking about the struggles I was going through. I've had my pit/mix for about 3 years now, but haven't had luck with training. My dog Diamond has some dog aggression issues so I have been very stressed out a lot of the time. Ray has helped me to gain control of the situation by teaching me about why my dog is acting the way she does, and giving me the tools that I need. He has also given me some much needed confidence in managing my dog and her behavior. Ray was always on hand to talk over phone or email, and he responded to my concerns in ways that really helped to guide me through this experience of training.Ray talked me through some very stressful times during training, and his calm and confident demeanor really made all the difference for me.I know now that I need to be consistent with my dog and changes take time, and this knowledge is so helpful. My dog needs me to give her structure and patience! I'm so glad that I was recommended to Ray and I know that if/when I need continued help with my dog, I will be calling Ray again!Thank you Ray! Your time, your knowledge, your patience and your overall concern for me and Diamond means so much!! I've made so many strides with your help. More...

Wow, I don’t know where to start! This was the BEST thing I’ve ever done for my dog and I. I told Ray, I wish I knew about his training program when Fufi was a puppy. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Ray was beyond amazing, professional, and had so much patience. Thank you for everything you have done and taught Fufi and I! More...

Where do I start?! Ray is legit a dog whisperer!! My two girls could NOT be together and my husband and I changed our entire lives around to accommodate their separation for almost two years. ...until we found Ray! Honestly, I was skeptical that they could be "fixed". Anytime the girls saw each other there would be a fight (hence the separation and rotation of them several times a day). We tried various other trainings and trainers over the years to no avail. Finally, at my wits end, we signed the girls up for Ray's Board and Train program on a wing and a prayer and, boy, did it pay off! The techniques that Ray instilled in my girls (and me and husband) have been life changing! Our lives have improved 100%. We're now able to have both girls out at the same time without any worry. They eat next to each other, sleep next to each other, etc. We have such peace of mind knowing that our girls are happier and able to be out with us every day. Yes, there is a financial investment required to properly train your dogs. That money is WELL spent with Ray! I honestly couldn't recommend him more. My only regret is that we didn't find Ray sooner! Ray was fantastic with our 1yr old yellow lab, Finn. We did the board and train program and it was great. Ray listened to what we wanted to work on and was very thorough in talking through his methods and process. He had great ideas right from the start on how to make Finn a better listener for recall and overall obedience. When we picked him up, there was an immediate difference in his behavior. Ray took the time to work with me and my family to train us on how to interact with Finn. We were able to use commands effectively, he comes when called, and we can now walk him off leash. Ray is great at what he does. Highly recommend! More...

We enrolled our 10 month old blue-nose pitbull (land shark), Bodhi, into Ray's 2 Week Board and Train Program in late October, 2016. The reason we put Bodhi in Ray's Program was for basic obedience and to manage his aggression that he was starting to show towards his 2 house siblings (3 year old pit/mix and an 8 year old cattle dog/mix)......or so we thought. Ray, within hours of being with Bodhi, informed us that his behavior was fear based.

We had no idea! Fear was the last thing we assumed was causing his aggressiveness. Ray was able to use several different training methods that allowed him to get Bodhi "checked-in". Once he was a able to make that connection, it was just a matter of time and persistence. It took a little more time than we initially expected, but the results were WELL WORTH the wait! Ray was amazing with the extra time and was very understanding of two puppy parents that were anxious to get their puppy back!

Once his training was complete, Ray walked us through his training methods and was very detailed in how to manage our expectations of Bodhi and what Bodhi should expect from us moving forward! It doesn't matter if you bring your dog to Caesar Milan himself... it's all about how the owner takes control of their dog's behavior after their training has finished. Ray sent us home informed and well prepared....and he is always a text/email/call away with ANY question we had....and still have.

We are extremely happy with the quality of training Bodhi received, and we have a more balanced and behaved blue-nose who every day is making strides to enjoy/trust his world and not live in fear!

We are Forever Thankful to you, Ray!

Ray is an outstanding dog trainer and person. We had Ray come to us for help with our four month old Rotti, Bruno. Bruno was showing early signs of aggression which we new we had to stop immediately. On Rays first visit he was able show us techniques and hands on guidance on how to control Bruno's aggression. Within a week our aggressive little pup was on his way to being a sweetheart. Bruno is healing, placeing, and coming along with other commands. Ray has a phenomenal way of connecting with dogs.
I highly recommend Ray if your looking for an exceptional, knowledgeable and kind dog trainer. I enjoyed our training sessions with Ray and looked forward to each visit.

A year ago on Sept 23, 2015 I sent my four year old Golden Mix dog to Follow My Lead Dog Services for board and train program. Lexie had so many problems it was impossibly to leave her alone, trust her with other people let alone other dogs. Not only was Lexie a flight risk from day one, she also tried to attack other dogs, pull on a leash to the point I couldn't control her, couldn't be around kids, and couldn't be left alone or she would ruin something in the house. I was at the point I couldn't take it anymore and had to do something. I found Ray on thumbtack and I can honestly say he saved our lives. Lexie did the board and train program for three weeks and came back an amazing, loving, and such well behaved dog it was like starting all over. We now can do so much together and I have no worries. She can be off leash in an unfenced yard without me worrying she is going to run away, she plays with dogs like they are all her best friend, and best of all we can go on walks with not being pulled and off leash hiking and not having to worry about her running off. Ray saved us from a horrible 10 plus years together and we are able to enjoy our lives together. I couldn't be more thrilled to found Ray who took care of all of our issues but also able to have someone watch her when I am away and know she is in good hands. Thanks to Ray we live a happy life.
