FABULOUS!!!I cannot say enough good things about Michelle. We hired her as our month of coordinator and I can't imagine how we could have pulled the wedding off without her. Her vendor recommendations were all fabulous. She was very good about helping us stay in budget. Organized, responsive, detail-oriented, professional - Michelle is fabulous. The venue staff on the day of the wedding were sub-par and Michelle managed all of them along with her own team and catering staff. Amazing. My husband and I hired Michelle as our day off wedding coordinator but she was so much for than that! From our first conversation she was always so hands on, although we hired her as a "day of coordinator" she would frequently email me to check in, we had a free consultation with her where we got a pick her brain about our venue and things that we honestly would have missed if she didn't tell us. We had a bit scare when our caterer canceled on us a month prior to our wedding but Michelle assured me everything was going to be fine and recommended us a new cater and rental company which turned out simply amazing. Her and her team were professional the day of they made sure we my husband and I did not have to worry about anything and just enjoyed our day. I would highly recommend hiring Michelle - she is full of knowledge in the wedding industry, very fairly priced especially for all the services she provides. Thank you Michelle for everything!! Michelle at Flyte44 Events is wonderful to work with!Michelle was the wedding coordinator for my daughter's wedding earlier this month at the Adamson House in Malibu. Not the easiest venue because everything has to be brought in.....AND removed....the day of the wedding.....and there are a lot of rules because it is an historic home. Michelle was very helpful in assisting me with selecting vendors and with coordinating all of them prior to the big event. On the day of the wedding, I actually left the small cutting cake in the trunk of my car....where it melted....and Michelle immediately had her assistant go find another white cake as a replacement. Always cool and collected, she really allowed me to enjoy my daughter's wedding. It was gorgeous and she was such a joy to work with. I would definitely hire Michelle again in the future! More...

We can't say enough positive things about Michelle!!! We hired her as the month-of coordinator for our wedding at the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve. She was hands down the best decision we made among our wedding vendors. She is so on top of it and really did everything possible to make our wedding perfect. It always felt like she was 100% on our side, really had our best interest at heart, and helped us find us ways to save money wherever she could (even after our wedding was over!). She goes above and beyond and thinks of every last detail (and at Upper Las Virgenes there are always many things the average person would not think of! We had her as the month-of planner but I really wish we chose full planning because of that.) Booking Michelle was the single best decision we made about the wedding! If you are considering booking her, rest assured that she will make all the difference in making your wedding dreams a reality. Not only was she instrumental in handling the details of our wedding: set up/tear down, timeline, managing vendors, etc., but it was also priceless to have a professional I could call for advice in the months leading up to the wedding (e.g. What kind of draping fabric should we get? How many cups do we need? Where can I get the brass/gold candlesticks I want? Do we need more lighting? What about weather concerns?). Additionally, she has such a calming presence, which really helped me manage the anxiety I had when planning my wedding. I wanted an intimate backyard wedding for 100 people, but did not want to compromise when it came to the dreamy, romantic aesthetic I was looking for. I didn't really know how to start in terms of turning the backyard into a venue and had a lot of anxiety about it. From the moment we met with Michelle at our initial consultation, I relaxed knowing that we were in the hands of a true professional. She thought of all the little details, such as about DIY draping to really make it feel like a wedding venue, additional rentals we would need in that type of space, etc. She really stuck to our budget and helped us think of ways to maximize our dollars. Some of our vendors were a bit challenging in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and she wrangled them like a pro, handling all communications so we didn't have to stress. Come the day of the wedding, I walked into the backyard and my jaw hit the floor. It was truly one of the most beautiful setups I had ever seen and all of my stress and anxiety melted away. I was able to be a guest at my wedding and had the best time, oblivious to the issues going on behind the scenes as Michelle addressed them all in stride on our behalf. Apparently, half of the lighting went out in the middle of the wedding and Michelle took care of it all! Additionally, we had a religious Jewish ceremony and Michelle was both knowledgable about and sensitive to that aspect of our wedding. Michelle and her team are fantastic. From the moment my husband and I met Michelle we felt at ease. We could not have planned our wedding without her. There are so many details that go into planning a backyard wedding that you might not have to deal with elsewhere and Michelle knows them all. My husband and I are both very controlling but we trusted Michelle with our vision so much, halfway thru planning we decided to give up control and upgrade to full planning. She was a godsend, she dealt with ridiculous requests, hundreds of changes, a couple of meltdowns. The day of went so smoothly, everything was on time, everything looked amazing. We never doubted Michelle but there were so many things that needed to come together we just weren't sure how it was possible, but it did and she made it look easy. Hiring Michelle as our coordinator was the best decision we made! From the very first phone call to the day-of she exceeded every expectation and then some. Always available, responsive, helpful and flexible. Couldn't have asked for more. The day of our wedding she and her assistant Bella made sure everything ran smoothly and seamlessly and that everyone has a wonderful time. I'm sure there were unexpected surprises and some kinks she had to work out but my husband and I never noticed anything amiss. Right before our first dance my foot decided to start cramping up terribly and Michelle didn't hesitate to help massage the cramp out. Total lifesaver! Michelle and Flyte 44 are simply the best.  When we contacted Michelle 3 months before our wedding, we had accomplished nothing other than having the venue booked.  At our initial call, Michelle not only listened to what we wanted and helped us refine / shape our ideas for the wedding, but also wasn't fazed when we told her we wanted dogs to be in and attend the wedding.  She provided us with checklists of what we needed to do, checked in with us to see whether we needed help, and, most importantly, reminded us the importance of taking a moment to enjoy being engaged.  Her experience in wedding planning was most evident in her work with the vendors and her advice on how to save money, including what guests notice and don't notice.  In the days leading up to the wedding, she contacted all the vendors, took care of the logistics, and ensured that everything went as planned.  On the day of the wedding, we had 10 dogs at the wedding and the event was executed without it feeling like a zoo/kennel.  Not only did Michelle create a warm and friendly atmosphere but she worked with what was important to us.  Michelle not only excels at her job but she's easy to work with, talk to, and encourages open lines of communication.  Also, she caters her team with the vibe of the couple / venue.  Her assistant on the day of the wedding was a dog-lover!  In a field where there are so many options, Michelle's attention to details and easy-going personality make all the difference. I cannot say enough about this company. Michelle is a BOSS. Our wedding planning had so many ups and downs. We had flooding, fires, deliveries that didn't arrive. .. you name it. But looking at these images, you would never know it because Michelle is resourceful, connected, smart, and an absolute professional. She identified any possible issue before issues had the chance to take place. She even mastered the bustle on my dress and kept me calm. It was important to me to find someone who I was comfortable with since we would be spending a lot of time together and she's almost like having an extra maid of honor. She's nice but also strong when she needs to help you get something you want. It's truly important to her for everything go as planned. She also made sure my husband and I had alone time, food, and drinks and took small breaks from entertaining. The night flew by so fast and everything was literally perfect- and trust me, things were not perfect before we found her. It makes me cringe to think we almost didn't hire anyone, which means we wouldn't have found Flyte 44. I highly recommend this company especially if you're like my husband and myself. We absolutely loved working with Michelle for our wedding!  We did the day of wedding coordinator package, but she was very generous with her time and helped us out a lot more than just the day of!  Before the wedding, we had a few phone calls, which were really helpful in keeping us organized, then she ran our rehearsal, and kept us on track the day of.  She has a great eye for decorations, set everything up the way we wanted, made great suggestions for ways of hiding a few warts at our venue, and was calm as can be.  Having Michelle and her assistant Angel with us on the day of was wonderful.  We didn't have to worry about a thing.  Michelle even managed to fix a little snafu with my dress when part of the belt started falling off.  We couldn't have been happier and highly recommend Michelle and her team. I got married on New Years Day. We booked Michelle as our day of coordinator. She was super helpful with the planning process. She recommended a wonderful bartender. We felt more than comfortable with her making the right decisions to make our day run as smooth as possible. She by far exceeded our expectations and was a dream to work with. I am soo happy we worked with Michelle for wedding day of coordination this past weekend; I cannot imagine the day without her. Michelle is on top of everything, and her experience is very evident. Initially I had a small concern as she had never worked with my venue, but I had nothing to worry about. She has so much experience, a new venue doesn't phase her. She is organized, professional, punctual, and I HIGHLY recommend her! She tended to the "logistics" and little items during the evening - ranging from getting broken glass cleaned up, keeping the schedule, clean-up after the wedding, she even bustled my dress, and the list goes on. She took care of everything that my bridesmaids/husband and I were actually able to enjoy the wedding. My husband and I are so grateful that we found Michelle at Flyte44 Events to help coordinate our wedding. From the moment I spoke to Michelle, she immediately put me at ease about our event. It truly felt like talking to a friend even though we had just met. As our wedding day approached, Michelle kept us on track with a detailed timeline and offered advice whenever we needed it. Several of our vendors were recommended by her and we loved everyone she suggested! She was easy to reach by phone or email and was available for all vendor meetings that we had leading up to our big day even going back to our venue multiple times to show our parents around the property. Michelle handled every challenge that we had with ease and therefore made us more relaxed during a time that can be very stressful. Our wedding was at The Houdini Estate, which is a more complicated venue, and Michelle constantly gave us suggestions and offered her expertise for the best way to handle certain difficulties. We had an entire flip outside from the ceremony to the reception that she had to coordinate, and she made it look effortless even though it was very challenging! On our actual wedding day, one of the vendors didn't deliver our dance floor, and Michelle made sure that we had one in time for our reception. While I was worried that we wouldn't have one, she assured me that even if she had to do it herself that it would happen. I knew she meant it and that I could leave everything in good hands. She also had a wonderful support staff helping her that really cared about making sure everything was extra special. Michelle is unequivocally the best event planner I've worked with. When I initially called her, I explained that I wanted to host a late afternoon, outdoor reception for my husband who was retiring from the bench after 22 years as a judge. As things progressed, I ended up changing to a lunchtime party in a hallway of the Courthouse. A hallway. Seriously--how elegant can you make a hallway in a government building? The answer--stunning. I swear, you could throw any obscure, unlikely, unconventional venue at her and she will magically transform it. All the while, being mindful of your budget. She is incredibly organized. This party was, of course, in a secured building. She was able to pre-clear all the vendors with the sheriff's department and arrange to get them in and out smoothly. No small feat.Michelle always made herself available and followed through with every detail. Once I realized she understood my vision, I was able to sit back, relax and know she had everything covered. The day of the event, she was onsite, in control and I can honestly say it was probably the first time I've ever had an event where I was able to truly relax and enjoy. A retirement party is obviously a once in a lifetime event and she created something that will be remembered. I am forever grateful.I can't imagine planning an event going forward without her! Michelle was phenomenal! We were so lucky to have her as our wedding planner. We were planning our wedding from across the country and she always made us feel supported. She has so many connections and was very familiar with our venue and many of our vendors which made us feel so comfortable going into the wedding planning. Michelle and I set up weekly calls as we got closer to the wedding day so we could talk through anything I was thinking about and make sure we were on the same page. On the day of our wedding, Michelle was exactly what we needed and wanted. She made sure everything stayed on time, but always had a calm demeanor. Michelle is amazing! She was my wedding planner for the day of our wedding. She and her assistant wore so many hats that day and completed each task with such ease and content. She is so kind and supportive, and even though I only used her services for the day of the wedding; I felt that once we connected with her and we went forward with her services, she was always there to answer simple questions and to give her recommendations throughout the process. She's a great resource! At the wedding, the guests adored her. She was a ninja at best (e.g. took pictures of us and our guests through the wedding event, made sure my husband and I had drinks at all times, made sure we got our appetizers and food, organized the vendors, and even helped with decorating the venue with the flowers I ordered). She also assisted with little mishaps that are sure to happen during any wedding, but she managed them patiently and promptly. I would definitely recommend Michelle. Michelle was an absolute godsend. We were planning a wedding for about 150 people at a venue where we had to bring in absolutely everything - from the chairs and silverware, to the outdoor kitchen, dumpster, and trash bags. Needless to say, there were a lot of moving pieces that needed to be pulled off within pretty precise time frames. Michelle and her team were up to the challenge, and exceeded all expectations. Not only did she create and execute a meticulous timeline for the day of, but she went above and beyond in every way. She made herself available to our questions whenever we had them and shared with us so many invaluable pieces of wedding planning wisdom she's picked up during her extensive experience as an event planner/coordinator. She had ideas and insights that we never even considered, and even offered advice that helped us cut down on costs in several areas of our budget. She was also our lifesaver in the weeks leading up to the event, completely managing all vendor communication and double checking our work so that we could use he time we had left to shore up all the small details and complete last minute DIY projects. The day-of flowed so wonderfully, and during the few times there were hiccups, Michelle was already in problem-solving mode by the time I noticed them. She was also always composed and centered, and served as a calming presence for us during what could have been an otherwise very stressful day. I do not even know where to begin, Michelle Can And will Do it all. She was so patient organized and Adapted and adjusted twisted and turned to every situation for Our Wedding. With my fiancé and I being so indecisive and change back and forth from idea to times. From the start she was so nice and catered to every that needed to be done at the wedding. From helping us decide on DJ Table set up and so many other things. It was over 100 degrees literally July 8th I do not even think she broke a sweat. Whatever kind of wedding or event you’re having she will get it done. I do not write many reviews but I had to take my hat off to Michelle and her assistant's. She kept her composure at every turn. There was even a situation with the location we chose they were being difficult for some reason I look over and I see Michelle going to BAT for us and just elegantly handled the situation notified me at the right moment so I could do what needed to be done to correct the problem. If I could leave 6 stars I would. Oh wait. ****** 6 star she gets extra credit. She had all our valuables safe loaded in car I am still shook on her Efficiency. The secret to a "dream come true wedding" is to first, have the right partner, and secondly, to find the best possible event coordinator!  My husband, who happened to be my reunited high school best friend from many years ago, was truly the right partner. Michelle Schurman was the incredibly talented and organized planner who helped us create the most memorable wedding we (and our guests) could ever imagine! From the first moments of discussing dates, venues, and themes to the much anticipated Big Day, Michelle's enthusiasm and expertise kept everyone and everything in check. Every vendor she recommended- including the venue, officiant, musicians, DJ, caterer, florist, photographer, videographer, lighting technician, and balloon designer (really!)- was a perfect fit. We love Michelle! She was our day of coordinator and could not even imagine our wedding day without her! We did not have to worry about anything, if there were any issues we did not know about it! !! She went above and beyond for us and we truly feel like we made a friend.She was really great to work with, she was professional, she worked her butt off, she was organized and calm (we had a big wedding) and she is affordable! She made sure my husband and I had drinks and food and even made sure we had a minute to ourselves to take it all in. My only regret is not having her coordinate our entire wedding instead of just the day of! My sister is getting married in October of this year and booked Michelle as soon as my wedding was over!!! Michelle was an indispensable support for our wedding at St Bernardine Church Catholic Church and Calamigos Ranch.  Whether it was placing flowers on our cake or fighting for Polish vodka shots at the reception, Michelle tirelessly made sure that every planned detail was executed.  She was also punctual, courteous, and a lot of fun to work with.  Anytime we had a question she made time for us, she was completely available to help us when we needed it (she always responded within an hour).  She has tons of event planning / wedding experience, and her input was essential for so many things (e.g., vendor recommendations [DJ Dave was awesome], negotiating with venues [saved us money with alcohol], and creative event ideas [ribbons for meal choices]).  Michelle was respectful and supportive of our Polish cultural background, and she ensured that our vision of an ideal wedding became a reality.  Especially on the wedding day she took wonderful care of us (making sure we had food and drink, organizing the vendors, wrangling family members, making announcements and even giving us a pre-ceremony pep talk). To put it simply...you need Michelle in your life. She without a doubt, was so pivotal in the success of my wedding. My mom and I absolutely adored Michelle and felt so lucky we could work with her. Every step of the way Michelle was there to share her insights and expertise, while still helping craft our vision. Words can't express how much we loved Michelle. We used her as a Day-Of planner for our wedding, but she did so much more than just on the day of.  I knew right after meeting her that everything was going to be taken care of, and by someone very experienced and organized. She's excellent at communicating, and when a couple vendors were unable to show at our walk-through, she handled everything herself. Rain threatened our wedding day, and all emails/calls/last minute contingency plans were just done. On the actual day she was everywhere all the time, but never flustered or stressed. I knew she had it under all control, and I was able to completely relax while everything happened around me.  She had my complete trust. She simultaneously steamed wrinkles from my veil, decorated the reception, managed vendors, and got everyone where they needed to be (and on time too!).  Many guests and some of the bridal party commented on how amazing the planner was. She became such a confidant and source of strength that we were sad to wrap everything after the wedding was over. I would consider myself very lucky to be able to work with her again one day. Michelle is professional, fun and did a superb job helping me and my husband plan and execute our wedding day. She thought of things that would have never even crossed my mind by were very important (like setting up times for arrivals vows, coordinating vendors, table set-up, etc) and interfaced with all the folks we contracted with to do flowers, food, clean up, etc. She had an assistant come on the day of and help carry out all the plans we made-he was great, too (Angel). She made sure to set aside time for me and my husband after the wedding to take a breath and connect after the wedding ceremony which was much appreciated. She regularly checked in with all guests and vendors and us as well.She runs a top-notch service and I would gladly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding or any event/party. I contacted Michelle to plan my wedding and she was so awesome! Right away we hit it off and she came out to my parents' property to see where the wedding would be. Our wedding was in the mountains and we created our venue from the ground up and she was such a trooper coming out to check everything out. She was always positive and gave us such great advice. She made a couple of trips out to the property and helped me organize our plan for the wedding. I was pretty distracted when planning the wedding so I would forget to reach out to her and so she'd always check in with me and offer me advice and recommendations. She was super helpful and was always willing to go the extra mile to help us. At the wedding she was very on top of everything and I heard from my guests and family members later that she helped them out with their kids or if anything else needed attending to during the wedding. Wow, where do I begin with my glowing review?  My husband found Michelle Schurman with Flyte 44 Events after I had spent 4 months staying up at night planning every detail to my daughter's dream 13th birthday.  I had everything finalized but the one thing that I knew I couldn't handle was:1). How to lay out all of my ideas in our backyard to make it look like an outdoor ball room.2). How to create a timeline to get every detail and a multitude of vendors booked and presented within our time bracket with a seamless execution.We found Michelle to help us plan these two quandaries and for the "day of" event.  She went above and beyond the call of duty.  Michelle came to our house and helped us lay out where everything that we rented would go.  She went above the call of duty to spend a few hours helping me design the timeline. On the day of the event, Michelle showed up exactly on time and was the glue to every situation.  For instance, when our napkins that I spent hours folding started blowing into the swimming pool and all over the yard, Michele jumped into action and grabbed extra pieces of candy from the candy bar and beautifully laid them on the napkins to hold them in place in front of each guest's place setting.  On top of helping fix little things before the party started, Michelle worked super well with our vendors on the day of the event and put out any fire that arose.  She kept everything flowing perfectly and a really good communication with me, while keeping me out of the loop of anything that she could handle so that we could enjoy the day.  When the buffet line got long, Michelle jumped in there and just started serving food on plates herself.  That's what left an impression with me.  She is hands on and not afraid to get dirty.Not only was Michelle kind and gentle, she returns calls if your caller id shows up with no message.  CAN YOU SAY AMAZING?!  She is always ready to work and even helped clean up.  Michelle took great pride in making sure that everything was secure before she left.  I would recommend Michelle to the most discerning bride or party giver.  She's reasonably priced, kind, patient, detailed, organized, and experienced.  She even took some pictures to send that I enjoyed before the photographer got them to us.  She's a real pleasure and LIFE SAVER! Michelle, the owner, is a warm and gracious person. She will work very hard in planning your event and there is no doubt she will make the entire process easier. I wasn't able to use her for my event due to the hotel only allowing a vendor from their preferred list. Michelle is enthusiastic about making your vision come to life.
