This place was really great! It hits you right when you walk in. There is this amazing smell of smoked BBQ. It was as good as it smelled. I got the brisket and it was fantastic. This place is set up like a Chipotle for BBQ. You pick your base, protein and toppings. The brisket was good. Truthfully, I should have just had that with not much more. It was the best part of the meal. The rest was just ok. It's a lot of food. The person building the bowl wasn't receptive to questions about what they suggest or what is popular. Went back after the change from a truck to a restaurant.The mac & cheese is no longer spicy, which is good, but it also lost some of its crustiness. It was an off hour so maybe a little less fresh? Not sure. Still pretty good though. The slaw was just OK.The jackfruit sandwich was really good though. Just as good as the normal meat-based version I had long ago. Decided to come here for dinner and it was the best decision we made. Everything here was delicious! The brisket was so tender and full of flavor. The bbq sauce was just right. The baked beans were packed with flavor and the potato salad...one of the BEST potato salads I've ever had. I'm also VERY picky with my cornbread and don't like most, however, this place has some bomb cornbread and the cinnamon butter that comes with it...fire. So good. Love this place! The chicken and pulled pork solo options are great, so tasty. The sauces are very unique and delicious the South Carolina Gold is my fav, good if you want a subtle mustard taste. The Granny Smith Slaw is vinegar based, slightly sweet, and has granny smith apple pieces in it. So good! The Mac and Cheese is also fabulous! This last time I tried the Yankee cornbread. I highly recommend getting it with the honey cinnamon butter! Adults can also get the kids meal here which is a fantastic option as it comes with a small pork sandwich, a side of apple slices, and a side of Mac and Cheese.Wish they had locations where I live. I was only in Dayton a week and I ate here twice. I hope I have the opportunity to eat here again. SOOO GOOD. It's like chipotle, but for barbecue. The staff was super nice and helpful with suggestions and food tips. I had the lavender lemonade and it was delicious! The Mac and cheese was the perfect amount of cheesy with a good seasoning/spice. They have a solid variety of bbq sauces depending on your taste. First thoughts. I love the look, I like the menu diversity, and I LOVE the food! My wife and I ordered the BBQ jackfruit because we are vegetarians. They are extremely helpful with letting us know what has meat and what doesn't have meat in it. The sauces are fantastic. The toppings are amazing. The cornbread is SO good. This place is delicious! It's a fresh concept, custom dishes, quick service, high quality ingredients, reasonably priced, friendly staff. The blueberry lavender lemonade is also very good (I mixed with unsweetened tea to cut the sweetness). I'm very critical of barbecue and was prepared to be disappointed but this place is SO good. That Ohio Apple Vourbon BBQ is AAAAHMAZING. The brisket was done very well, not too dry and just the perfect amount of smoke. My biggest issue was the Mac n Cheese. It was a bit dry and the noodles were overdone, probably from sitting in the warmer. All in all, would definitely come back in, just won't be getting any Mac next time. Wow, really good food! Everything is fresh and tasty. I was traveling through the area and stumbled across this place with a Yelp search. I had a salad that I really enjoyed and my son had a pork sandwich. There are so many fresh items to add to your meal, and that made it fun and different from other bbq experiences. Came in for lunch as visitors from Florida with 21 students on a summer youth trip.   We were greeted promptly and the menu was explained thoroughly.  The staff was so efficient, professional and friendly!  Made a huge effort to make sure we had a great experience.  And the food was just incredible!!! In town for a convention and found this place in Yelp. I am a die-hard Fusian fan but had to step next door and try this. I was pleasantly surprised . The meat is definitely the center of attention but the sides and toppings don't fall short. I broke my "clean eating" for the macaroni and I was not disappointed. What a great concept, want traditional BBQ, it's here.  Brisket had a perfect pink center and nice outer bark. Or go the fusion route and try a bowl which brings together different flavors and textures. We were in Beavercreek for soccer on Mother's Day. The reviews for Flyby were so good, we decided to try it! It did not disappoint. Not only was the food incredible but the service was A+. My husband ordered coffee but they didn't have any. So he took a soda and sat down. A few minutes later, the manager arrives at our table with Starbucks! He literally went a few doors down to Starbucks and ordered my husband a coffee, paid for it and brought it back to us. I cannot think of the last time I have had service this good, and never have at a casual dining restaurant. This place is honestly my new favorite restaurant. Not only ate the meats delicious, but the portions are good too.I went here with my wife and in-laws; between the five of us we tried the pork and chicken served as a sandwich, over rice, in a salad, and alone. The meat was so tender and delectable! Also, most places serve small salads when you order a salad but their's is actually fairly large.The sides we had was cornbread, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans. I was in the area looking to try something new and saw the website pop up as a suggestion. Why not? It's wedged in between two other restaurants at the Fairfield Commons and has the "NOW OPEN" banner on the front. I decided on the brisket sandwich before I arrived so that made my search over the short menu even quicker. The server who greeted me asked me what type of protein I wanted. I was taken aback until I realized that the food service is based on the line style, ala Chipotle. They have a little bun toaster right at the beginning then he added the meat to the bun while it rested on a scale. I was a little worried, but they serve up a healthy portion of brisket on the bun. The pieces were mostly flesh and very little fat, so you're not getting the meat cheat. I opted for a side of Mac n cheese and a local brew from the Yellow Springs brewery. The total cost  $15.50. A little costly but it was definitely filling. The brisket was a tad dry but not inedible and the sauces were tasty. I would prefer a bit more heat in the "spicy" sauce, but it was still good. I was also impressed by the real cheeses in the mac n cheese! Great tasting. If you're looking for bbq and you want it served up quick, check this place out. More...

Great new place for BBQ.  From our first step in the door the smell of slow cooked BBQ was amazing.  Several options of craft and domestic beers iced down in wheelbarrows as you wait to order.  Cool and colorful decor reminded me of a backyard BBQ with flair!  Three in our party and we each had a bowl. A towering compostable bowl of options.  Do you want rice, 2 kinds. Mac n cheese or how about black beans?  Topping additions were numerous.  Pickle slices-yes please!  Lots of options for vegetarians/vegans-the jackfruit BBQ sample I had was good but not for me.
