Beautiful flowers-just what I asked for! Kevan worked within my budget and I was THRILLED with the result. He was not always easy to contact and not very responsive, but the end product was so great, I can't fault him. Highly recommended.

My family had utilized Tommy Luke's floral services for years and thus when my father passed away (20 years ago) I contacted this business to make arrangements for a monthly flower delivery to his final resting place on behalf of my brother and myself.     After my mom's passing 11 years ago - she joined my dad.  We then modified the monthly delivery date to the day of the month they were married.  The Tommy Luke team never missed a delivery, did not charge for the additional drive time to the cemetery and as we live 3 hours away they often emailed photos of the arrangements to us.  We could never adequately express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Tommy Luke's team for the compassion and care they exhibited each and every month.  Flowers carry such emotion to so many and we are grateful that Tommy Luke never forgets that their customers each have a special story and treat us with such dignity and respect. A dear friend has been hospitalized at OHSU after a car accident.  I called from Michigan and spoke with a wonderful gentleman who was understanding when I broke into tears, asked the right questions, and gave me the OHSU discount without me asking.  When my friend and her family received the flowers, they were blown away. For the price I paid, the bouquet is beautiful.  And here we are 6 days after the flowers were delivered and they are still gorgeous!!!I am beyond impressed by City Flowers work! More...

Our wedding flowers were gorgeous and we had a great experience working  with Kevan and Lou at Flowers Tommy Luke.  The color scheme shifted a bit when the wedding party colors went from a softer pastel palette to bold and bright, and they handled the change with ease.  The wedding was outdoors on an 84 degree day, and the flowers held up very well.  Several friends took the table arrangements home and said they enjoyed them for up to two weeks following the wedding.  A huge thank you for your very important role in our very special day! I went in to Tommy Luke's instead of Whole Foods on a whim. My experience was phenomenal, simple, seamless, peaceful and very easy. The two gentlemen crafting amazing pieces were friendly, smiling and attentive to my needs. I let them use their artistic talent to create something special for a loved one and was blown away. They interpreted my request perfectly. I received a bouquet almost a week ago, as a birthday gift.  I was struck by the bouquet - the jewel tones, and the fragrance, especially the roses and carnations, because often there's no smell at all when flowers come from florists.  Lovely!  I didn't expect to have them last very long; but they're still fine - a surprisingly long time to have flowers stay this fresh ... and, again, fragrant.  Also, I live in an apartment building, and the person who delivered them made a real effort to make sure I got them.   I recommend this florist!   (First time I've felt strongly enough to do that here in Portland.) I have received several bouquets from my fiance from Tommy Luke and I have consistently been blown away by the quality of the flowers and the amazingly beautiful and creative arrangements.  Floral art is right!!  I will marry this man if only to keep receiving such beautiful bouquets!  If I weren't getting married in Kauai I would be calling them to handle the flowers.  I HIGHLY recommend Tommy Luke! I went in to look around, as I had a couple other Yelped stores as backup plans in case this one was out of my price range or I didn't get a good vibe.  I was delighted with the pretty shop and the nice woman who said hello right away, asked me politely what my price range was and then put together, along with me, a beautiful arrangement right there on the spot and wrapped instead of adding a vase since my friend is moving and would not enjoy packing or having to get rid of a vase. I told her I wanted to keep it under $40-50 and it ended up being $30 total for a gorgeous, custom, prompt bouquet. I loved that she didn't overcharge me just because she could. Flowers Tommy Luke, owned by Lou Scott, has provided bouquets for our daughter when she delivered our first grandbaby, Teagan and also for a bouquet to be placed on my parents grave at the Veteran's Cemetary on Scott Mountain.  Lou personally oversee'd the floral design and they were just perfect.  Lou's designer are friendly and very creative.  I would highly recommend using their services.  They are great! My Mother sent me flowers from this florist for my birthday in February.  This happens all the time, the flowers get mixed up because my birthday is a few days after Valentine's Day.  Without getting into detail, there was a delivery date issue.  Once the problem was realized I called the shop and spoke with the representative on the phone and explained the problem.  The gentleman was extremely apologetic and assured me that the replacement bouquet would be delivered on the date my Mother originally requested and he would "make something very beautiful" for my birthday.  Like he stated, the flowers arrived on my birthday and they were gorgeous!  I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for arrangements and use it myself in the future. Working with Tommy Luke Flowers was hands down the most enjoyable part of my wedding planning process. Everything Yara did for us came out better than I could have imagined. Her calm personality was extremely refreshing and her creativity shinned though.

I also loved the flat rate for boutonnieres regardless of the flower that was chosen. This helped me get what I wanted and allowed us to stay easily in our budget.

I have used many Portland florists over the years but always return to Flowers Tommy Luke. Their friendly service and excellent floral arrangements set me at ease when I am planning a party or holiday occasion. I recently visited with Lou Scott, the new owner and her experienced staff of designers at the light-filled studio in NW Portland. I was impressed with the friendly service, imaginative designers and the selection of flowers in their studio. They helped me pull together ideas to create some fun and lovely designs. The gorgeous flowers were delivered, as planned, so I was at ease long before my guests arrived. The delivery staff was very friendly and helpful. My guests commented on how beautiful the exotic arrangements were and how they helped set the mood for the evening. Be aware, they have moved! The person I talked to (when I was on 20 something and pettygrove) was really helpful to get me to their new location. (I'm embarrassed to admit I had to call him back and the second time he stayed on the phone with me until I found it). He joked when I arrived that he needed to put out flashing neon signs. Then they made a beautiful arrangement with me on the spot! She looked at vases with me and asked me how much I wanted to spend and what type of flowers I would like. I'm really picky and her arrangement was better than what I described. She actually finshed the arrangement faster than I wrote out the card! My favorite flower place in Portland, actually my favorite flower place anywhere! Tommy Luke did my wedding last weekend and they did an outstanding job. Anthony created a theme that fit me perfectly. I had zero ideas when we first met, but Anthony created a masterpiece! Tommy Luke Flower is my default florist in Portland. Anthony took care of my wedding and surpassed my expectations--that is a lot to say coming from someone extremely picky like myself. He is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. I can see that his direct way of communicating can be perceived as less friendly but he gives you great results. I am tired of people being ""sweet and nice"" but they can't deliver what I am asking, so I have a lot of respect for people like Anthony and his team who can listen to your ideas and surprise you with something greater.
