We joined a local gym, but were chased away by too many overly sweaty "bros" who grunted loudly with every lift or flex, and saw no need to wipe down equipment after using it. Ew.We joined the local "Y," but were constantly frustrated by swimming pool and fitness class schedules that didn't mesh with our work/life schedules. Sigh.Then, we found Laurie Tanner. Wow. And hurray. She is an exceptional personal trainer -- skilled, experienced, empathetic, adaptable to last-minute schedule changes, wonderfully personable, and consistently, warmly professional. She always has a new idea or alternative to suggest whenever one is wanted or needed. She's truly motivating, without being too much of a cheerleader or drill sergeant. And she comes to our house, which means in the time it used to take us to get out of bed and to the gym or the Y, we're already part way through our workout with Laurie.My wife and I are thrilled beyond words to work with Laurie. We're making good, steady progress toward our goals to weigh less, and to be stronger, more flexible, and more consistent about our self-care. Laurie is a trainer that hasn’t just studied her craft, but lives it as well. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful upbeat personality with a flexible schedule. The best part about Laurie is that her workouts are fun! She is hilarious and insightful and will push you beyond your mental and physical limits while having fun. Laurie is amazing! She does such a good job at planning a workout that suits your needs and goals. I have been training with Laurie for about six months now and not only have I seen a change in my body, but I also am gaining knowledge in fitness and what works best for me. I've been using Laurie for 6 months 2 times a week and am in the best shape of my life.  She is always on time, reliable and a skilled trainer who makes working out fun.  I hadd a mountain bike injury and she has incorporated physical therapy Into my training and I've regained all the strength back in my shoulder and arm.  I highly recommend her. I had talked to a couple personal trainers and then I found Laurie. She is very knowledgable and has been in the business for over 10 years, I felt she was real and understood my habits and put together a program that would get me where I wanted to be without drastically changing my lifestyle. She is mobile and thinks outside the box so it's never the same routine which I really enjoy! She is always happy to make suggestions and I've learned a lot. I help my clients reach their fitness goals by not only keeping the workouts fun and interesting, but also holding you accountable. One way I hold you accountable is by assigning workouts to do on our off days.

There is no secret to getting the body of your dreams. However, nutrition plays a huge role in getting the body you desire. I can provide nutritional counseling as well as recommend useful apps to help you achieve your goals.

I love being able to transform lives through fitness. Through this love I have been able to build long lasting relationships, which makes my job not feel like a job at all!!!

Working out was such a stress relief for me that it turned into a passion. I felt compelled to share this new found passion with others and transform their lives like it transformed mine!!

Exercising should be fun! As a personal trainer, I make it a point to emphasize safety and form above all, as well as showing my clients how to avoid boredom. My workouts will be fun, exciting and challenging. I also motivate my clients to succeed when they feel like giving up.

It can be overwhelming knowing where to start with a fitness program. That is where I take pride in developing personalized programs for each and every one of my clients based on their specific goals.

Not only do I love developing trusted relationships with my clients, I also love seeing and tracking their progress! Depending on what my clients prefer; we will take pic's, measurements, body fat and bi-weekly weigh ins to ensure we stay on track with our goals and keeps my clients accountable. I also encourage a food tracking system that we discuss at our first meeting.
