I have never been a fan of taking pictures, I’ve always felt awkward and never “know what to do with my face” When I met Katrina and we talked about mother hood pictures, I was so nervous, I didn’t know what to wear, whether I should smile how to do my makeup or anything! Katrina and I sent messages for a while and reassured me that everything would be fine! She would have clothing choices and to wear make up how I would normally wear makeup. I went into our session so nervous but immediately she made me feel comfortable. It was like meeting an old friend! We talked for almost an hour before starting pictures! I feel so much gratitude for what Katrina managed to capture during our breastfeeding photo shoot. Breastfeeding has been a wondrous journey for me and sweet little one. I had no idea how amazingly bonding breastfeeding was going to be and I am sad it is coming to an end sooner than what we had hoped. Katrina is absolutely phenomenal! She’s so sweet, communicates well, and has a knack for putting one at ease. My toddler and baby were so comfortable with her. Can’t say enough good things about our experience with Katrina! She was very responsive in setting up the photography session and helpful in helping us choosing the right time of day based on lighting. I decided at the very last minute that I wanted a photographer to document our daughter’s birth, and to my delight, Katrina agreed to be there. She approached the day with such thoughtfulness and sensitivity, knowing that our first child’s birth was the kind where nothing goes according to plan. While we had hoped for a VBAC, in the end our daughter was born via a gentle belly birth (Cesarean section), which with my doctor’s permission Katrina was able to photograph. Katrina’s approach to birth photography resulted in beautiful, truthful images that evoke all the emotion and joy of that first glimpse of our child. All the little “firsts” that would otherwise fade into wisps of memory — sharing her name with grandparents, meeting her sibling, latching on, dressing, and snuggling as a family of four. I am truly grateful for Katrina’s warm presence and attention to moments during those chaotic early days. If you’re wavering on whether birth or family photography is worth it, I can say without hesitation that it is. I cannot say enough positive things about Katrina of Fifty Two Hundred Photo. I give her the highest recommendation for your wedding photography needs. Katrina did our engagement photography, bridal portraits, and wedding photography and they exceeded all our expectations. Katrina took time with me before the big day to listen to what we were looking for and what was important to us. All that we wanted and more was reflected in our photos. She captured all the moments of joy and emotion of our big day. In all of the hustle and stress of the day, there were moments I didn't remember clearly; however, Katrina was able to capture more than just photos for us to look back and remember, but the emotion of the moment so I can look back and feel all the love and joy over and over again. Some of my favorite photos from the day are ones that weren't planned, but moments in time that I will forever cherish. Besides loving the final products of the beautiful photos, Katrina was so fun to work with. She made the entire experience less stressful and made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole experience. It can be awkward posing for pictures, but we never felt that way with Katrina. She is such a lovely and caring individual and did everything possible to make sure our wedding day was magical. I was able to tell her in advance some of my concerns with what was stressful of overwhelming about the big day, and she stepped in to help redirect instinctively and flawlessly. During the engagement session, she asked us a list of questions and really got to know us so that she could capture our love story the way we wanted it told. During the bridal portraits, too, we laughed and had a blast together just one-on-one. She made me feel comfortable and free to be myself which translated into incredible and stunning pictures I still look back on in awe. Katrina has taken pictures of my family several times now, and every time I've been amazed at the quality of the photographs that we've gotten. I am infamously un-photogenic—as a musician I've gotten lots of horrible pictures of myself from ostensibly very good photographers—but Katrina has managed to get great pictures of me while also working with a very uncooperative dog and an equally unruly toddler.

Working with Katrina is extremely easy and enjoyable. She has great ideas and gives good direction when needed, but you don't feel like you're being given a 15-step plan to looking alright in pictures. In the past when I've gotten a decent picture of myself I can recall the photographer having to dictate just about everything about the shot to me ("yeah, look over here.
