I sincerely enjoy my time here. I like the late hours of the night, the friendly vibe here is welcoming each time. I tend to not order very sweet drinks, and their nom nom milk, extra ice is so perfect for my current pregnancy cravings for sweet and icy. I am wanting to give some of their food items a try next time I visit. I Really recommend this place to meet up with friends or siblings. More...

I've been seeing this place on Instagram a lot because of their crumbwiches and because of the adorable stickers on their cups. I came heree with a friend this afternoon it was packed! I think it could have been because of the RMDAYY in the bay that they were doing. There were some people selling BTS merch at the table. What I think is cool is that they have the kiosk for ordering through the machine and the old school cash register.I decided to get the matcha rose latte with pearls, 50% ice and 25% sweetness. My drink came out within 10 minutes. I was surprised at how good it was.I don't like rose-flavored things, but this was was subtle and not too rosy. The boba was a bit cold for me, but the drink itself was so good. It was sweet, milky, floral, and the matcha wasn't too earthy. I mention this in a lot of my reviews about matcha milk tea that sometimes, it tastes too much like grass or that it still has clumps of stuff together. The place itself is very cosy and aesthetic. I love how they have a mix of tables and couches and they have wifi, which is nice! The place itself is clean and there's lots of parking and yummy food in the area. More...

FTB has always been one of my top boba places in the area. some of my favorites are the mango green tea, lychee green tea, and nom nom green milk tea. since going dairy-free, i've also learned that you can order pretty much any milk tea drink with soy milk as a substitute, and it tastes even better imo. i love the boba here because it's sweet, and the drinks are always consistent. if you're a frequent customer like me, sign up for five star so you can collect stamps to get free toppings and even free drinks! This is a hidden gem. I usually try to stay away from dirty nom nom kind of drinks because it seems so sweet, but to my surprise, after many ppl told how good it was, i finally tried and it was really good. I finished it in less than 10 minutes. (It was a bit on the sweeter side, but very different) Opted out on boba if you don't want it to be that sweet. Other drinks we ordered were all very tastey and worth a try. You can order with the automated tablet with a credit card only, but if you want to pay cash, you may need to order at the counter. Plenty of parking and other restaurants nearby. This place is great to hang out with friends, as this place is filled with games and additional several plenty leather sofas to relax and chill. I really like this place. I got the dirty nom nom and it tasted great. The boba was sweet which I like and the vibe and artwork inside the place are really cool. We also ordered a Virgin Mary toast but it was alright. The toppings taste great together but the toast is too big and just starts to taste like bread. It was my first time trying a toast anywhere so I'm not sure how they are supposed to taste. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area though because the boba is worth it. More...

It was my first time visiting this place. I ordered the Factory Milk Tea, and all I can say is it was pretty good. The service was also quick. I didn't have to wait too long to get my order (less than 5 mins). Sadly, their kitchen was already closed so I didn't get to try their toast; we came in close to their closing time. Moreover, I like the ambiance of the place. They have a lot of games to play with. It's just nice to chill and hang out there with friends. More...

Delicious milk tea and awesome, cute place to study at/ catch up with your loved ones!!We got our drinks within 5 minutes, based on the top 10 menu: nom nom milk with pudding and boba, nom nom green tea with boba, factory milk tea with coffee jelly, and taro milk black tea with grass jelly. My favorite was the nom nom green tea with boba! Even with 50% sweetness level, it was tasty. The nom nom milk with pudding and boba tasted like a slushy version of the nom nom green tea. The factory milk tea with coffee jelly had a very strong coffee flavor to it.... would be perfect to keep you staying up until late at night! Taro milk tea was delicious as well! It had a fresh, smooth and dense texture to it. I love this place and will be back! More...

A very nice boba spot in Fremont! It is open late, has lots of games and couches, and delicious drinks of course! They also partner with a lot of businesses and host community events which is fun! For food we ordered 3 types of fries: sour cream (tasted like sour cream and onion potato chips!), bbq, and cajun. They were skinny fries which are not really my type so I thought they were just okay. The popcorn chicken was also just okay - good flavor but could have used more chicken and less breading. They also offer crumbwich in several flavors. We tried ube, pandan, matcha, strawberry, and mango. Mango was hands down the best; it had the most flavor. The drinks were super delicious and definitely worth a try! I can't say enough about the Rose Matcha Latte (ordered at 50% sweet and still plenty sweet). It was just such a unique drink that I haven't seen anywhere else. I love it. It is seasonal though so keep an eye out on their instagram page to see when it is available! The Coachella lemonades were also good and super pretty  We had the passion peach and the strawberry. I preferred the passion peach but they are both super refreshing. I will definitely be coming back here (especially when rose matcha latte is available)! More...

It took awhile to find this place. On yelp it took me to Starbucks and didn't show where the location was at. Finally? I found it. I got yo ordered the matcha almond milk tea with rainbow jelly and I ordered the wings too. The drink was was very tasty and I like the chicken wing not greasy. The location was nice and it is next to CVS. Very contemporary and they places where you can relax on a leather couch or you can play cards on a table. They have karaoke music there but it is for night time. Good boba tea. More...

The decor and abundance of board games at this place really stand out from other boba tea shop.  The place is spacious with plenty of seatings.Came here on a Tuesday and they had a special for two drinks get a third free. They offer a variety of boba flavors, tea drinks, cold and hot snacks. We ordered the following Passion fruit green tea (good amount of crystal)rose milk tea (good amount of boba)and a free passion fruit Coachella boba (this drink is more on the sour side maybe bc we asked for 50% sugar)Popcorn chicken ordered mild for my son and it has a kick of spice. overall, a really great atmosphere that makes for a super fun place to hang out! love the couches and huge selection of board games. got 3 drinks for under $10 since we came within the last hour before closing where they offer doorbuster prices which was a really nice surprise. only downside was that they were out of thai tea, but understandable since it was the end of the night. ended up switching to the dirty nom nom milk tea which was delicious! would definitely come back here when i'm craving some late night boba. I came here on a Sunday afternoon to get some work done. There were several tables open and I luckily got a table that had access to an outlet. I had the Coachella lemonade which tasted similar to  Simply lemonade raspberry flavor which is fairly tart and pretty sweet. Of course the Coachella lemonade tasted of better quality as it had bits of strawberry in it. I also had the popcorn chicken which was tasty and juicy. It could have been crispier in my opinion. Definitely a good place to study and grab a drink/snack! More...

Factory Tea Bar is a chain that started in Southern California and made its way up the state. Personally, I liked it down there and I like it up here. FTB has adorable designs and the cafe is perfect for catching up with friends. Their most popular and iconic drinks are anything with "Nom Nom", which has a brown sugar caramel taste.Drink ordered:1. Nom Nom Milk (5/5): Usually ordering boba with less sweetness, this could only be adjusted to 50% sweet. There is also the option to add whipped cream (which I passed on). Overall, the included toppings: boba and egg pudding were good, but the drink, at 50% was a little too sweet and heavy. I did like how this drink was almost a slushee though, since that helped dilute the strong caramel flavor! More...

I absolutely love this place! FTB has a great atmosphere. I tried the fried fish balls, fries, and popcorn chicken, and all of it was seriously so good. They also have great dipping sauces for the snacks. FTB probably has some of the best snacks that I've ever seen. For the drinks, we tried the nom nom tea and rose matcha. My favorite was the rose matcha but you really can't go wrong with any of it! I also loved the sweetness level for the drinks. Came here around noon on a Tuesday. I guess they were just starting up so the boba pearls weren't ready. Because of that, I ordered a rose oolong milk tea (50% sweetness) with pudding which turned out to be a nice combo. Also ordered the popcorn chicken which wasn't bad. But prices are a liiiittle bit higher than I'd like to pay.The gal behind the counter was very friendly and nice. Upon handing me my drink she said to let her know if it wasn't to my liking and she could remake it.She also told me that their drinks tend to be on the sweet side so if you're a newcomer then be aware of that!Overall a good experience. I'd come back if I were close by, but wouldn't make it a point to travel here. Music is loud so don't come here if you're planning to have deep conversations. More...

I always see photos of FTB Fremont on my Instagram feed so I was excited to come check it out after eating lunch nearby. There are plenty of tables and couches inside and it's nice and bright with the natural lighting. It does seem a bit cramped though since there's an area for speakers/music for their open mic nights, and even a corner full of board games piled high which looked pretty messy, but I'm sure that makes for a nice hangout spot for people who live near here. They did warn us the table we were sitting at would be reserved but they gave us a 30 minute notice at least. The menus are nice and clear and they even have a poster of their top 10 drinks for all the newcomers. I ultimately decided on the strawberry matcha milk tea with pudding which was very tasty. Definitely a stronger matcha taste than the strawberry though. I was able to taste the boba in my fiance's Nom Nom Milk Tea, and it was very soft and fresh. Drinks came out fairly quickly. I posted a story on Instagram and tagged FTB Fremont's Instagram page, and they immediately reached out and asked how my experience was, which was refreshing to see. I think good customer service goes a long way so FTB definitely earns a spot in my list of go-to Bay Area boba spots. More...

Ftb's a pretty solid place for tea! I've never had their boba so I cant comment on that, but the tea quality is pretty good imo. The first time I was here I tried their taro tea with less sweetness and no boba. It has real taro chunks blended in, and it almost tastes like a chocolate smoothie! I had the taro tea with black tea, but I think they offer it with green tea as well. For the size, the price is pretty reasonable.I've tried their matcha as well, and it's pretty good. There are plenty of couches around the place so it's great for relaxing or hanging out with friends. I wouldn't say this is a good place to sit and study though. They also have a BUNCH of board games and card games so you can sit at the tables playing for hours while sipping your tea/drink. More...

Friday night boba cravings, this place is open late and offered delivery so my husband and I figured why not. I got a Taro Milk Tea with boba and coffee jelly and the Mister got a Jasmine green tea with boba and lychee jelly. Pretty basic. Everything tasted good, the boba was fine, the tea was nothing to complain about...I removed one star because I hate the cup. I want to hold my cup upside down and watch the contents of my drink swirl around, turn it over, and stab my pointy ended straw into the plastic for that super satisfying snap sound. I didn't even know I cared about that experience until it was taken away from me. I'd probably still order from here..but that's my 2cents on that. More...

My first impression upon visiting Factory Tea Bar was yessss, they're one of the stores that are open late so I can get my late night boba cravings in. During the last hour of operation, they also have a deal where all drinks are $2.50 (not including tax though) which is a steal in my opinion. Unfortunately the kitchen is closed during the last hour too, oh well, you can't have everything. I ordered their signature drink--the nom nom milk with pudding and boba. Their custard pudding with warm boba really goes well with the milk slush and despite the fact I still don't know what the nom nom syrup is, it's pretty tasty and what the employees use to rim the cup with. Atmosphere of the storefront seemed really chill with lots of young adults hanging around playing a huge selection of board games, socializing, or studying. This is a good spot to just have a good time with friends. As for the other reviewers not satisfied with their drinks, the employees are all really nice about remaking it as long as you tell them. So if you're unhappy about the drink they'll accommodate you. I did come back to try their fried snacks and they're all pretty tasty (albeit a bit pricey). Definitely recommend the popcorn chicken and sour cream seasoned fries. More...

Closing special, come in two hours before closing and get your milk tea for $2.50 or something close to that, it's like a few bucks off if you get a fancier drink.  Downside is kitchen is closed when this deal is going on.Their standard FTB milk tea is pretty tasty.  It's the right amount of creaminess with tea flavor coming through.  Not a fan of milk tea? or even tea? They have a lot of juice and lemonade infusions as well, DRINKS FOR ALL!We go the popcorn chicken entree, I am def a fan of their popcorn chicken.  It's got good crisp and decent cuts of meat without being all fatty.  The entree comes with rice, a poached egg, salad, and a heaping about of popcorn chicken.  Totes worth if you're looking for a meal and not just popcorn chicken.  I could probably do without the egg though, it's drenched in some sort of sauce (soy sauce, ponzu, I'm not quite sure) and is super salty and cold... maybe I was supposed to pour it over my rice but I tried to eat it like an egg... and it wasn't a good idea.I was sad when Tea Papa closed but pleasantly surprised when FTB took over.  Worth a stop over if you're over in the warm springs area. Factory Tea Bar has one of the cutest logos: "Love boba to the moon and back" on their cups. The interior of the place looks more hipster and they have a variety of board games for you to play if you're here to chill. They have a variety of different options for boba, but I went with the rose black milk tea at 25% sweetness with boba.My rose black milk tea was creamy and the tea flavor was prominent, which I loved. The rose was present without being overpowering or too floral. 25% was a good sweetness level for my drink because it was just sweet enough. The boba was fresh (I could feel how warm it was at the bottom of my cup) and cooked right - chewy but still holding it's shape.I also tried a few sips of the taro milk black tea with boba at 50% sweetness. I think they use powder here given that I could feel some granules on my tongue. After mixing the drink a bit more, it helped smoothen out the consistency. Has a bit of an artificial taste (though I think it's harder to get a more natural taro flavor) but still tasted good.Milk tea prices are a little bit more here, with each drink being about $5.50 if you add a topping. Overall, didn't take long to get the drinks out. More...

I love FTB! Was so excited when this store opened in the bay especially because one of my close friends hyped it up. Honestly everything I've tried it's great but my favorites would have to be the * Nom Nom Green Tea: if you are to get one thing you MUST get this. It is on the sweeter end but this is definitely the best green milk tea I've ever had. It has a very unique and yummy taste. So Freaking Good* seasoned fries with sour cream: at first it sounds like a weird combo but these fries taste sooo good. They also give a decent amount and the savory pairs well with the sweetness of the drinks!Honestly everything I've tried hasn't disappointed but definitely recommend nom nom green tea!! They also have a lot of fun seasonal drinks so definitely check out this place if you have a chance. They have plenty of different drink options as well as snacks. Oh yeah they even have board games! I'm literally going to cry... happy tears of course!Came here on a lovely Sunday afternoon and the area was barely packed. This establishment is chill, well spaced, and great for studying imo. Staff was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. The snacks are very good; however, their drinks are the star of the show! What I ordered:Rose Matcha Latte: Hands down - it's a must. Usually when choosing flowery drinks, I would go with lavender bc Rose is sometimes flavorless. But this drink blew my mind. Not only did it have the essence & impactful taste of a rose, but it was smooth and not overly sweet. It kept me curious for the next sip. Trust me - IT'S SOOOO GOOD.Strawberry Matcha Latte: This is the go-to item I look for when ordering boba at a new location. Luckily, they have it. And it's as good as the others that I've had around the bay. However, after having the Rose Matcha Latte, I've been converted and I don't think I'm going back. Still a great option but I'm committed to something new!  Overall, had a great experience at FTB. I came with my friend to get some drinks. I really loved their strawberry matcha latte. I used the Yelp check in to get a free fruit jelly topping with that. My friend got a chocolate milkshake which they were able to make without milk which was nice. The interior is really cute and they have some really cool decorations and pairings up that look like Greek goddesses. It seems like they do open mic nights there sometimes to which was cool. I want to come back when they have their T-shirts available to come and buy some because they are cute. The pricing is pretty good and the menu is extensive. In a nutshell: Drinks here come out fast, sweet, and creamy. Visited here twice so far (but only to-go, will need to stay a while next time), and both times were very solid, no major complaints. As I said, drinks here tend toward the sweeter and creamier side, so don't be afraid to order their 50% - it's probably closer to most places' 75%. Got the matcha latte both times, and also tried their green milk tea (super sweet at 100%, tastes like most places 100% at 50%), and their popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken is taaaaasty- got nice seasoning and a good crunch to it without forcing you to chew through half an inch of breading. Tea seems like it's good quality, but I'll have to try other more tea forward drinks to be sure. All in all, worth checking out, especially if you've got some time to hang out. They have comfy couches, lots of space, and board games. More...

Next I ordered their crispy fried wings and cajun fries.Loved the wings but the fries we're literally drowned in the cajun spice making it a mess to eat and too over whelming for my taste buds. Yesterday, my friends and I tried FTB for the first time at the Fremont Noodles On Noodles Festival! I didn't have high expectations, because it was being served at a festival outside, but I honestly really like the Rose Green Tea Milk Tea I got! The sweetness was not overpowering (not too sweet and not watered down). My friend told me they told him their regular sweetness usually is always about 50% sweet, but idk if that's true or not. I took one star off, because my friend that got the Lychee Green Tea 50% sweet seemed to have gotten watered down boba instead. I tried some and it didn't really have much flavor, so idk what happened. My friend that guy the Strawberry Matcha said it was pretty good and was like mine where the taste was not overpowering! I also tried his and really enjoyed it! This was also 50% sweet. The next time I'm in Fremont, I'll definitely check out the store in person as I enjoyed it at the festival! More...

Super good boba(just the topping) and an extremely nice interior. Workers are nice but super super super slow. It takes them forever to take your order and even longer to make your drink(s). The food that I ordered at another restaurant across the lot came out faster than the drinks. It gets busy but even when it's not they are super slow. I see a lot of hesitation as they make their drinks which slows them down a lot. It's just super irritating how I can order a drink go across the lot and order some food and by the time I come back with my food the drink isn't even done (and I waited 10 minutes + 3 more to order) Update:customer service is still honestly the best and I feel bad for rating them low (they're such good people, the only issue is that they can be super slow) More...

We came here on a busy Saturday night and from the outside point-of-view its seems pretty packed! When we arrived, it seems like a community of gamers hanging out at the boba place. I thought that its a pretty nice space to hang out with friends with similar interest. The place was well decorated with art and I thought that was really cool to showcase people's talent. We ordered various popular drinks to try out, most of the drinks we tried out are really sweet, even though we got 25% sweetness on all of them. Their most popular drink was the Rose Matcha Latte which was really good! I love rose and matcha, so the combination was creative to blend. The boba was fresh and chewy (they ran out at first, but they made more later). The Nom Nom Green Tea w/ boba was spot on! It taste pretty good, but I wasn't a big fan of the Nom Nom milk w/ pudding. That drink was way too sweet for my liking, but it was just my preference that I don't like pudding on my drink.. I gave it to my friend to finish it :p My friend thinks the sweetness level here is super high for just 25% sweetness. I was sad that they ran out of popcorn chicken, but they offer an alternative of chicken wings to try! The chicken wings were so crispy and flavorful, I drool with every bite. Also the fries flavors were yummy too! We got the cajun and sour cream, my favorite flavor was the sour cream because it tasted like eating sour cream chips! Overall, I recommend getting 25% of sweetness for drinks here, unless you have a major sweet tooth. And don't forget the sour cream fries ! I'll come back next time for popcorn chicken. More...

Nom Nom Milk Tea and Lychee Green Tea were spot on -- of course, adjust sweetness level and toppings to your preferences.   The fries have different seasoning options.  The Sour Cream seasoning was delicious, so much so that the husband hogged most of it!It must be the local place for a quick snack and to get some studying in.  There were a lot of small  groups of young folks with laptops and notebooks open.  I also saw a whole collection of board and table games. They're having some sort of promotion in which a 30% coupon is being provided after each purchase (to use for a future visit). The music wasn't overly out of control like some other milk tea spots.  It's also quite spacious and can probably seat up to 50 people.Scored 5 stars in my books! Came here after 2 boba stops before this and I must say that this was my favorite of all 3 spots. I ordered the Rose Matcha Latte, one of their new flavors, and it was so good! I've never had Rose flavor before but I liked the combination a lot. Their boba is also yummy and chewy :pAlso tried a few of their snacks: popcorn chicken, seasoned fries and sweet potato fries and they were all good! Their popcorn chicken is marinated overnight to give it that flavorful and juicy chicken - YUM! I love that you can choose how spicy you want it too. Their sour cream seasoned fries were good as well - it's different because I've never seen the option! Their sweet potato fries are also good - your standard sweet potato fries.Service is super friendly and I love the vibe here. They also have this cute panda as their logo/mascot and they sell apparel! I was so close to purchasing one haha. I'll definitely be back and I appreciate that it's in a plaza so there's ample parking. More...

Yeeees, my favorite boba and dessert shop from LA is in the Bay area!! I barely found out a week ago and I know I had to go try it out. My friends and I went after dinner on a Saturday evening around 8pm. It wasn't too packed which was surprising. We all ordered boba, I ordered my favorite 50% sugar nom nom milk with pudding and boba to see how it compared to socal. And I must say, very pleasantly up to par! The slushie milk with warm honey boba was exactly what I remembered. The boba is the perfect texture of soft but chewy and the pudding was spot on. As for the space, it was pretty brightly lit with EDM playing in the background. Plenty of chairs, tables, and couches to hang out on. By 9pm, the place was filling up so definitely would recommend coming early if you want to hang out after getting boba. We played Monopoly deal for two and a half hours and it was getting crowded by the time we left. The boba was delicious and the ambiance was a really chill out vibe great for catching up with friends or playing board games. Coming back to try their honey brick toast next time! More...

Absolutely love this place! Had some Korean food across the plaza from here and decided to visit this place. We tried FTB at the 626 night market and didn't make a big impression so we decided to give it another shot and I love it.Their rose milk tea was a good combination between creamy and a fresh taste. I've always seen photos of FTB on Instagram, but never made it a priority to drive to Fremont to try it. But boyyy was I missing out!!! I was invited to come in for a tasting event, and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish! Michael, the owner, was extremely kind and explained FTB's mission to create a community where people can come together and socialize, which I thought was really cool!I rarely find a boba spot where I genuinely enjoy everything I try, but all the food and drinks that I tried that day exceeded my expectations! Two of my favorite things would have to be the Rose Matcha Latte and the popcorn chicken. The Rose Matcha Latte was unique and incorporated two of my favorite flavors! And not to mention, the matcha was extremely smooth, unlike other places that I've tried which are chalky and powdery. The popcorn chicken was also a fave! Michael mentioned that the chicken is marinated overnight, which you can definitely taste!Overall, I had a great time at FTB and would definitely recommend it to my friends or anyone looking to try a new spot! I was pleasantly surprised by this Factory Tea Bar.  Didn't even realize there was a popular one in Los Angeles too! First of all the owner Michael really really care about the products and the customers which is rare! He really takes in everyone's opinions and adapts. The space is one of the largest boba causal hangout spots out there.  There's even the panda swag and open mic nights!  Never heard of that at a boba spot.  I'm actually surprised the food is pretty good.  Usually boba spots make average fast food but the potstickers and popcorn chicken bento are superb! I will say I love the brick toast but I wish it was cut into chunks and toasted with some sweet glaze. That would hit the spot! The drinks are on the sweeter side so make sure to lower your sweetness.  My absolute favorite is on ehe launched for Valentine's Day,  Rose Matcha Latte.  It is divine! Have been here a few dozen times and it is one of our go-to spots for boba. Their sweetener and/or syrup doesn't have a strong aftertaste and their boba is usually made well. I'll be honest, there are a few times where it has been undercooked or been made too early in advance but for the most part their consistency is there. There atmosphere is very lively with their music selection and crowds of people hanging out. My favorite is the music and the board game options to choose from. Downside: Ventilation is not the best. I often leave with fried food smell on my clothes. They are sometimes understaffed and the lines can get long, which ends up being a long wait for the drinks as well. All in all, I would recommend those in the neighborhood to give this place a try. With an emphasis on quality, community, and art, Factory Tea Bar is definitely more than just your average boba shop... Aside from their dynamic menu, they also support local artists and put on live music & poetry events! This welcoming ambiance hosts all types of people- ranging from those who are there to study, catch up with friends, play board games, and even bullet journal together! I came here for the first time for a tasting event and was pleasantly surprised at how much I ACTUALLY liked everything I tried. I ordered the Nom Nom Milk Tea and The Rose Matcha Latte. Both were so uniquely delicious! The Rose Matcha Latte is everything I've ever wanted in a milk tea. The matcha is smooth, (unlike most cheap, powdery matcha drinks) and the floral notes of the rose blended perfectly with it! Not to mention, the actual drink itself was just so cute! One thing I shockingly enjoyed was the popcorn chicken! I usually don't order this because most places serve bland chicken with a ton of seasoning powder over top. This one, however, was marinated 24 hours ahead and you could definitely tell! Not only can you order it by itself, but also in a bento box with salad, rice, and a runny egg! When I think of a boba shop, I don't really associate it with the idea of "good food." Factory Tea Bar is changing that perspective for me... Factory Tea Bar is awesome in so many ways and I'm extremely happy that it's so close to me!! This is definitely going to be my new spot. Nice drink specials. Nom nom tea drinks like a meal, hence, nom nom. Great place to lounge around, hang out with friends. Board games galore!  However, it doesn't quite capture the feels from the San Gabriel Factory Tea Bar, where every time you go, it's like you're going to a slumber party... big crowds, sign-ups to get a couch, dimmer lighting, couches that are lower to the ground, carpeting, etc. Ah well, I guess this bar is just going to have to be its own... bar. My cousins and I came here on New Years Eve, literally a few minute before they were closing. I'm glad that they were kind enough to let us. My cousins and I ordered a variety of drinks, but my drink was my favorite. I ordered the Nom Nom Green tea. It tasted like Jasmine milk tea, but a little but stronger. I give it a 4/5, which is really high for me, since I'm very picky with my Boba drinks. As for the place itself:1. Outside: great location with lots of parking available2. Inside: very spacious compared to most Boba spots, they have a great ambience (there's a couch and plenty of chairs for you to utilize if you want to stay and chill with family/friends) and they have games available for you to use3. The Pitch:Factory Tea Bar, located in Fremont is definitely the epitome - if not, near the summit - of must-try boba places. Not only do they have tons of parking since they're located near in a plaza/mall, but they also have a spacious and chill environment for anyone to just study and shelter from the scorching heat. The Story:My partner has always wanted to go to Factory Tea Bar, or as I would call it, FTB. (They have a lot of merchandise that advertise these 3 letters.) After driving around in loops and getting stuck in the traffic, we were lucky to have arrived at FTB. We were greeted by a dark warm ambiance and a fairly nice cashier who seemed to be quite busy. After taking a while to wait for the 3 pm $3 boba specials, we finally decided what to order. I, of course, ordered the oolong milk tea with lychee jelly. While my partner grabbed the famous Nom Nom milk tea with green tea and boba. And for the first time, we grabbed 3 drinks since we thought that it's not everyday that we'll come here. We grabbed one of their recommended Strawberry Kiwi black tea drinks; and of course some sour cream french fries. While waiting, we played a few games of speed since there were tons of games available and that we didn't know how to play anything else. The wait was quite a while but what can I expect? He's only one guy! There were around 6 high schoolers who were there just studying. (So you can definitely try coming here to study! I know I will one day!)After a while, he gave us our drinks and the fries came moments later. The Ambiance:I really love their painting in the background. Although it's not quite finished yet, but it's sort of a depiction of Adam and Eve with boba drinks in their hands! (Quite funny indeed!) The dark vibe with the rays of sunshine bleeding through the cracks of their cover really paints a beautiful canvas in the room! It's definitely a place for anyone to come enjoy, not just students. The Drinks/Food:While I don't like caramel and can't fully appreciate the Nom Nom series, I definitely liked my drink. (Though he put a LOT of lychee jelly!) It has that oolong tea flavor which I do like, but after a while, it was quite bland since the ice melted. The strawberry kiwi drink was even better to be honest. And for the fries, I expected actual sour cream and actual barbecue sauce rather than simply powder!Pros:- Beautiful ambiance!- Lots of drink variety!- Have food and a bathroom- Has many specials ( We were glad to catch them exactly at 3!)Cons:- The drink wasn't quite as good after a while, but what can you expect? Conclusion:If you're looking for a boba place in Fremont, feel free to drop on by Factory Tea Bar! You'll definitely love it here and there are tons of spots so you'll surely find parking! (Just don't come from SF like we did!) Although it's not quite a factory, it certainly is a tea bar! More...

I've heard so many foodies rave about FTB, but I don't visit Fremont often since I'm from the South Bay. After my visit this past weekend, I'll definitely be coming back because I loved everything on their menu! What I like most about FTB is that they're not just known for their drinks and food, but it's also a great spot to do work, play board games, or enjoy live entertainment by local artists. If I lived closer, this would definitely be a go to spot for me to grab boba with friends.I came here for a tasting event to try items from their new 2019 menu. From their drinks, I tried the Nom Nom Green Tea and Matcha Rose Tea. Just an FYI, the drinks here are on the sweet side to match their LA location, so I got both my drinks at 50% sweetness. The Nom Nom Green Tea, one of their most popular and recommended drinks, was so good! It was made perfect to my liking as I was able to taste the tea, and the boba was soft, chewy, and lightly sweetened. For any matcha lover, their new drink that combines matcha and rose is a MUST! It's a combination that I never knew I would like until I tried it (+it's a really pretty drink!), and it'll be released in February as part of their Valentine's Day specials. I also tried their popcorn chicken, cajun and sweet potato fries, pork gyoza, and popcorn chicken bento box. Overall, all the food was delicious but my favorite was the bento box, which includes rice, salad, popcorn chicken, and an egg. The popcorn chicken is crispy and seasoned well; you can tell that the chicken has been marinated and wasn't just fried with a standard powder. Medium spicy has a nice kick to it and is tolerable for anyone who likes spicy but can't handle hot. Overall, I loved everything on their menu, and I can't wait for my next visit so I can try the rest of their drinks (and also get some more popcorn chicken). Thank you to the owner Michael for being so welcoming and having so much passion for FTB! It's great to see an owner so devoted to making sure people have an enjoyable experience. More...

Worth mentioning is the boba here. It was warm, sweet and 10/10 for chewiness! *One of the best I've had in the Bay Area* Other drinks we tried were Factory Milk Tea (nice chocolatey favor) and Taro Milk tea (honestly I couldn't remember how it tasted so nothing stood out).Be warned, do not get EXTRA Spicy!! Oooh damn $3 boba? Sign me up. Yeah its only during their happy hour but damn is that worth it. Got their nom nom tea w/ pudding and boba and it was pretty damn good. The only downside was I believe that our boba was undercooked. Because it was warm I'm assuming they make a batch every so often or even do it for every order (as it wasn't super crowded just a lot of high schoolers/college students doing homework when we went in). While that's cool and all, our boba seemed to be undercooked and was extremely hard to chew. Of course though that didn't distract from it still being a good drink. No doubt that if it was cooked just a tad longer it would have been one of my favorites for the Fremont area. Overall a really nice place for good drinks, low prices with their happy hour and even door buster promotions has me tempted to make the drive. More...

I came here for a holiday party and I really enjoyed it!I would highly recommend having a party here! I love the DIY Boba bar that was set up. The tea was already poured: just add your own ice and boba balls to your liking. I tried 3 different Boba drinks. My favorite was the Nom Nom. Wow! It was so good! I love that you can choose your sweetness level. I didn't have a chance to try that at this party since everything was pre-poured, but I love that it's an option. We also tried 3 different fries. I really liked the Cajun fries. I didn't care for the cheese-seasoned fries. We also tried the fried gyoza and the popcorn chicken which were nice. They have a new seasonal item we tried too, oden, which was really comforting. I love oden. We also tried 3 different dessert toasts. I'm not a big dessert fan, but I liked the condensed milk one. I like the vibes in here too. There's lot of seating, and there were lots of students studying and hanging out here. There's also lots of board games here! We played Cards Against Humanity and Exploding Kittens while we were hanging out. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely come here again, and I'd definitely want to have a friend hangout sesh here and play some more board games. Doorbuster deals, seasonal drinks and solid food! If you're a fan of all things yum and for a reasonable price, FTB is where it's at.If you're a fan of floral flavors like rose, I would say that their Rose Milk Tea here is probably one of the best I've had. I get it 50% sweet with less ice, throw in a topping like boba or white boba and it's literally perfection. Nice floral taste without tasting soapy, the 50% sweetness level is the perfect amount of sweetness. Super refreshing and light, no strange aftertaste or cloying sweetness in the back of your throat. Boba is okay here, chewy and well cooked.Strawberry Smoothie is good, it's a straightforward strawberry flavor, sweet but a touch of tartness. Not that artificial Nesquick strawberry flavor by any means. Refreshing, sweet and milky.Their Popcorn Chicken with Onsen Egg is generous in portion and for such a good deal. You get enough popcorn chicken, side salad, rice and a seasoned onsen egg to share between two people.Their doorbuster deals are 1/2 off drinks, so yeah, there is a place where you can get some damn good boba for less than $4. Their seasonal drinks are always fun and from all the food I've had here, I've been impressed by it's quality, flavor and pricing! I FTB, they have a multicultural fusion style and atmosphere‘ while welcoming. The staff always greet me cheerfully with a warm smile!

They have couches with nice long coffee tables suitable for medium sized groups (great for Cards Against Humanity, We Didn't Play Test This At All, Apples to Apples, and similar games).

You will find small tables great for a light chat, or heads down computing; additionally large tables suitable for board gaming.

They play music videos, this can be distracting at times. They also have live performance equipment.

---

Food is excellent, mostly snacks and light entree's; the Carolina reaper chicken is amazing (though very hot). I've enjoyed a few of their other snacks as well.

Every drink I've gotten has been very good. Beware many are very sweet.

---

Despite the welcoming environment; I've found it difficult to socialize at FTB, the crowd seems to be mostly cliches of friends. *I do tend to be antisocial; I'd like to change that.

---

Five stars: I hope to organize a pick-up game of Cosmic Encounters there soon.

My reviews are based solely on smoothies and slushie not here for the boba milk tea which is fine for most people, but there seems to be an over abundance in this over crowded market. My nephew and I came down for its Thanksgiving Day Special buy 1 and get 1 at 50% off which was a great deal. Located in a subdue plaza where most businesses are closed for the holiday. Pleasant staff though the interior sure can used some light fixture so dim aside from that it's very spacious like the nude drawings on the wall now that's a real an eye opener.  Order one passion fruit slushie for myself and one chocolate milk smoothie for my nephew. Both were delicious though my was 50% less sugar which I requested. Hardly any customers though traffic was very heavy. Overall it wasn't a bad experience will be back for happy hour and they stay open till 11 except Friday and Saturdays it's 1am! More...

I didn't expect to like the boba here, but I was pleasantly surprised! Located in a pretty dated and dead plaza, the store was very inviting and bright inside. What stood out to me the most was the super friendly cashier that helped me customize my drink. She was very patient with me as I diligently thought about how sweet I'd like my drink. Here the sweetness levels are 25%, 50%, and 100% (no 75% level here). I ordered the nom nom green tea with boba and 50% sweetness. I haven't really tried a green milk tea recently that was the perfect balance of sweetness and tea until now. I would highly recommend ordering this drink. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area! More...

This place is soooooo gooood. Marcy took my order and I never had such a sweet cashier like her before. Made this place so worthwhile to come to. Her customer service is on point. Has such a bubbly aura around her, making positive vibes & positive energy. I'm glad I asked her about the drinks or else I would have ended up getting something I wouldn't like. I usually like green milk tea and not too sweet, she suggested 25% and the nomnom green tea which I was skeptical about but she explained the boba is sweet and makes the drink more sweet, went along w it and boooy did it turn out perfect! Sooo glad I went w her suggestion. Even tipped her too lol 5 stars to this place cos of her  keep up the good work :) will be back. ( btw get the gyoza if u want food here ) More...

As a frequent visitor of the FTB in socal, I was excited that I would be able to get my favorite Nom Nom Green Tea after moving up to south bay. On my last visit, I deviated from my usual order and decided to try the Lychee green tea. I noticed that the tea flavor was extremely bitter. I hadn't even moved from my place on the couch when one of the employees approached me and asked if my drink was okay. She explained that they had tested the recent batch of green tea that they had made and realized the green tea leaves had steeped for too long. She asked if the drink they had made from this batch was satisfactory. I had told her then that it was a little bitter and she apologized and offered to remake it for me. This has happened to me in other boba places, where I tell them that the tea is too bitter and then a few minutes later they give me back my tea...and it tastes exactly the same except for all the sugar they dump in to try to mask the bitterness. The staff here realized the batch was bitter and took the time to remake it. I really appreciate the effort they went through to ensure I had a quality product. The Lychee green tea that I had was something I would order again. :) The customer service at this location is above and beyond! More...

I've always been a fan of FTB since I first had them back in LA. Once I heard that they were opening one in Fremont, I had to give them a try. Oh there's another one?! My exact words to my sister when she told me that there was a new tea bar that had amazing milk tea. In the Bay Area, you'll find an inflated amount of milk tea joints, but this one is definitely special. I was originally going to play it safe and try the passion fruit green tea, but the girl recommended the lychee! My sisters ordered the yalkult lemonade. Which they both love & order regularly. The ambiance is super hip. You'll see a huge mural right when you walk in. Lots of open seating too. More...

FTB drinks are pretty good. I liked their matcha latte and rose milk tea. Their snacks are pretty good too. I heard nom nom green milk tea is a customer favorite, so maybe try that too. I ordered the sour cream flavored fries (highly recommend) and the fried gyozas. They came with dipping sauces. Their popcorn chicken is good too! You can either get it as an appetizer or a "bento" version. The ambiance of FTB is pretty chill and they host a lot of events like open mic night, worth checking out. Really cool vibe here, I think if I was younger I would go here often. Also, if I lived closer. The service :Our cashier was nice and friendly, however there were two other workers sitting down (not sure if they were on a break) acting like they own the place (they might, I wouldn't know). They were talking at our cashier telling her to "skip the ad already!" on the radio station while she was taking orders. The tone he was using and the look of how uncomfortable our cashier looked made ME feel uncomfortable. Soon after, we got to order, and another person was behind us. The male worker (with his chinstrap facial hair and hat worn backwards) was giving a condescending tone to our cashier and said "Do you need help? Do you need help? You look lost." almost like he was mad at her. There were 4 drink orders and the two other workers were sitting down while our cashier was taking orders and prepping the drinks. The drinks:I got a honey milk black tea, it was pretty plain but not bad. My gf got a factory milk tea which tastes delicious and has a chocolate taste to it. Pretty good if you like sweet drinks.Overall:Cool place. I honestly wouldn't have written a review if it weren't for the awkward work atmosphere the two workers sitting down gave off, tbh. Boba was fine! More...

Pretty solid overall, staff was super friendly so no issues there. Ended up choosing the oolong milk tea, I was pretty disappointed putting it bluntly; flavor seemed pretty watered down, kinda comparable to ones attempts at making their own milk tea. I decided to give it another try at ordered the kumquat black tea, and passion fruit peach black tea. Both were super good and lychee jelly was good quality. toppings tend to make any boba go from average to high quality so I was glad to see this category go pretty well, which upped this to a 4 star review. Would probably come back to try everything else.milk tea 3/5fruit tea 4/5toppings 4.5/5 More...

I love this place for the board games and food. One of the few options to hang out later in South Fremont. The drinks are okay.

I had their popcorn chicken bento with a Passion Fruit Green tea. They did a pretty excellent job on both. In particular, the soft boiled egg they add is a very creative compliment to the spicy chicken. As for the tea itself it's above average on flavor, but the pearls are very fresh. What makes this place special though is the events they host. We hosted a video game event not long ago and the staff were very accommodating. Boba? Boba.It ain't no fault in the stars that I love boba tea, and it ain't no lie that I'll travel far for good boba. Bonus points if the eatery serves more than just boba tea! Here's an overview of my recent visit:Pros:1) Location: FTB is located in the plaza between 880 and 680 on Mission Blvd (same complex as Little Dipper). Plenty of parking space!2) Variety: Their Menu boasts items like fruit and milk teas; smoothies; slushees, snacks like fries, and popcorn chicken etc; yummy non-snacks like Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and desserts like the FTB toast. The drinks might not be the best drinks in the Bay Area, but the ones I tried were pretty good.I recommend the Nom Nom milk tea, Rose Milk Tea, Coachella lemonade, and the popcorn chicken. 3) Ambience: This eatery has plenty of indoor seating. Decor is a little dark but aesthetically pleasing. They have done outdoor seating as well. Plus, they are open till 11pm on weekdays, so it's a good place for a late-night hangout! 4) Pricing: menu items are very reasonable priced, even the soups, which made me very happy. 5) Customer Service: The Service here is very pleasant. Employees are courteous and friendly. Cons:None, really. The drinks taste decent and  snacks are fresh. I wish they were a little closer to San Jose, but I won't mind driving to FTB for their popcorn chicken and teas again! More...

Factory Tea Bar is one my favorite places in socal so I'm beyond excited that they opened a new location in the bay area sooo close to me :)In an area so densely populated with boba/milk tea/bubble tea (whatever you want to call it), why bother checking this place out?1. They have 2 signature drinks which is their Factory Tea Bar (FTB) milk tea and their Nom Nom milk tea. The FTB milk tea is their spin on the classic black milk tea with notes of spices and the black tea is strong with a good balance of milkiness. In contrast, their Nom Nom milk tea is much sweeter with a green tea base, a stronger milkier taste, and caramel notes. I personally love their FTB milk tea since it has a unique taste.** I always get my drinks at 50% sugar so this is based on 50% sugar level which I found to be a good level of sugar for people who don't like super sweet things.2. BOBA (aka tapioca balls). By far the best boba in the area because their boba is actually soft and chewy. It also tastes like they flavor the boba with honey so that's also another plus, the boba isn't flavorless. 3. Finally a lounge worthy place. It's hard to find a boba place with actual group seating. In the area, your best bet is T4 but they're more outfitted with tables as opposed to couches. The LA locations of FTB all have couch seating area and I'm glad that this one followed suit :) They're still pretty new so they're still figuring some things out. Service might be a little spotty (due to the staff being new) but the staff is friendly and eager. I'm excited to come back and see them continually improve. More...

The closest boba place near my house. When they started their happy hour (all drinks are $3, not including toppings which are 50 cents), my mom and I used to go almost every single day right after school. When it isn't happy hour, the drinks are about $5, not including toppings. Not the worst price considering their seating, entertainment and service, but I would recommend going during their happy hour instead. I noticed that they make their own tea as well, such as the Nom Nom Tea. Personally, I go for their Black Milk Tea with black pearls and lychee jelly/white pearl, 50% sweet & 25% ice. A great spot to hangout for studying or socializing with friends. A food to try is their popcorn chicken, a bit overpriced compared to T4's version, but it tastes good as well. The pricing is worth it, as their cups are large,  and not regular sized like other boba places. More...

Not as bad as I thought it would be, but maybe that's because I got a Coachella Lemonade. Keep in mind that their drinks are VERY sweet, even at 50% sweetness. I appreciated the honesty from one of the workers because she told me that it would still be pretty sweet regardless if I got 50% or not. Makes me wonder what's the point in having sweetness adjustments if the store won't actually adjust to them. Other than that, my drink tasted pretty good. My boyfriend loves sweet drinks so thankfully it didn't all go to waste.Standard service. The workers were nice and the cashier took my order. Nothing out of the ordinary. Pricing was standard since everywhere seems to want to charge $4 and up for milk tea. My total for the drink was $5 (4.92) WITHOUT a topping. Would I go again? Only if I'm in the Fremont area. I'm a huge fan of FTB in 626 because of their boba. Their boba comes out warm and is sweet like honey. The texture is perfectly chewy. Literally some of the best balls around. I was in disbelief and instant excitement when FTB showed up in my search results on Yelp. It took me awhile to visit because I live further away, but I eventually did. I ordered Nom Nom Milk, my favorite, with soy because I'm semi-lactose intolerant. Maybe it was a big mistake substituting the milk for soy because it did not taste as good. It was sweet but did not have the distinct nom nom flavor. Next time, I'm just going to suffer so I can truly enjoy the nom nom milk. Most importantly, the boba was as delicious as the one in 626. I was soo excited to be able to try Factory Tea Bar's first location in Northern California! Factory Tea Bar is my all time favorite boba place in San Gabriel, so you can imagine my excitement to be able to drop by here Saturday at noon. The location is quite different from their San Gabriel location in that there is generally more light whereas the San Gabriel one is sort of dim and gives off a cool vibe. Service was alright. I wish they told me and my friends about the free samples at the counter. We only discovered them after we ordered! I ordered my favorite Nom nom green tea with boba 25% sweet, 25% sugar. Its really sweet. I would even suggest getting it 10% sweet next time. My friends ordered the Black milk tea and Nom nom green tea. After discovering the samples, we all sort of wished we ordered different things. FTB has improved drastically since their soft opening!! Walking into the shop, the cashier greeted me with enthusiasm and waited patiently for me to decide what to order -- very welcoming :) My go-to is the Nom Nom Green Tea with boba. The drink can be a little sweet, but imo 50% sugar is just right. The boba is usually pretty good, but sometimes they can be a little hard :( I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying their snacks, too.  Their service is AMAZING!! I always order a Matcha Latte with Red Bean for my parents. When my they got it, they felt that the red bean tasted a little off, but they accepted that it might just be the store. The second time, it tasted even worse so they decided to bring it to the store. I had thrown away the receipt, but they walked in with the cup and informed the cashier. The workers were very helpful and when they went and tasted the red bean for themselves, it was expired, so they offered them a full refund for both drinks!!! I'm mainly writing this review Bc of this customer service^^  The shop itself has a great vibe to it, probably one of the more aesthetic tea shops out there. There's a lot of space to hangout and there's a huge stack of board games to choose from. This has become a daily hangout spot for my friends and I, whether it's doing homework or just relaxing after school. Their happy hour deal is also a plus -- 3$ drinks from 3-7pm :O!! More...

This is by far the best milk tea spot in fremont. Its fairly new but this place has no problem attracting customers. The lres a huge mural inside thats very welcoming. They also hosts game night, open mic, smash bro tournament,  movie night, etc. Moving onto the drinks, my go to drink is the nom nom milk tea. Its a good mix of milk, tea, and flavor. I also add pudding and boba. The only thing i dont like is the bobas are warm when inside your drink but at least you know theyre fresh. I just stir it until my ice melts or till the bobas cool. Overall, very good milk teas. Good job FTB More...

I've been here twice and it has earned its 5 stars. I got the Nom Nom Green tea, with 100% sweeten. It was really sweet, but still really good. The sweet potato fries are bomb as well as the chicken. They serve spicy dipping sauce on the side too. The environments really fun. I was there for open mic night and it was packed! There are games and couches to just sit and chill. I definitely recommend this place for a fun place to hang out and have a snack. The employees are really friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu and it's products. They were patient with helping me order. I will be back. Get the Nom Nom!! More...

This place might possibly be my new go-to!I frequently passed by this boba joint when I got poké from across the street, but I never really took the time to go inside Factory Tea Bar--which was a mistake. It took me so long to find a boba place that I completely love! The location of Factory Tea Bar is quite convenient and easy to find. Also, the sign is not hard to miss. There is plenty of parking as well!Walking inside, I already admired the laid back interior of the place. There were couches for larger parties and simple tables and chairs. There is also a lovely mural on the wall that is eye-catching! The menu is a bit too far to read; it is easier to get the smaller one to hold in your hand to peruse the menu, which has an abundance of choices!I settled for the Nom nom milk tea. The cashier warned us by saying it was extremely sweet and asked to reduce to 50% or not, and I agreed--thankfully. The cashier was very patient with our order, considering it was our first visit, and recommended us some drinks to try!Upon tasting the Nom Nom milk tea, it truly is sweet and I could not imagine what it would be like if it was to be 100%. However, the balance of the tea and milk, along with the flavor of brown sugar I believe is incredible. Their boba tastes so fresh and chewy; I never wanted to run out!We also ordered the fries with Cajun seasoning, which was okay. The seasoning was a bit too much, but the portion of the fries was plentiful! They even served ketchup on the side.My friend and I sat at the table by the wall of vintage records, which was a love part of their decoration, and stayed for a good twenty minutes. I noticed many customers playing games, so I assumed they had a section for card games, and I saw that they had a section for open mic--so I have to come back to visit one day! There were several people inside that was using their laptop, so I am assuming they have wifi...Before leaving, I went to use the restroom and was so glad it was clean! Usually bathrooms in most boba places are cluttered and dirty, but the workers do a good job in maintaining cleanliness--a very important factor!I can't wait to come back here again; I'm tempted to try a lot from the menu. Factory Tea Bar (FTB) was first established in socal and has finally made a home in Fremont. So, welcome to the bay FTB!!I'm always open to try new boba places, so I was extremely excited to give this spot a try! Upon arrival, I loved the casual and laid back vibe, as well as the murals and art decor. Not to mention, the staff is super duper friendly and sincerely wants the customers to have the best boba experience at their shop!I got to try their House Factory Milk Tea with Coffee Jelly, Nom Nom Green Tea with Boba, and Rose Milk Tea with Aloe. Out of those three, my favorite was the Rose Milk Tea as it had the perfect balance of sweet and floral aromas. My second favorite was the Nom Nom Green Tea, followed by their House Factory Milk Tea. Their toppings were delicious! Their boba was soft and sweet, yet chewy and their aloe was amazing! It's one of the best aloe toppings I've had so far, it's so fresh!Side note: FTB tends to have a stronger, richer and sweeter tea taste than other boba places I have been to. Therefore, I would highly suggest ordering your drinks with 25-50% sweetness level. It's always easier to make your drink sweeter, if needed, but not the other way around.I also got to try some of their snacks including the Sweet Potato Fries, Seasoned Fries, Popcorn Chicken and their Chicken Wings! My favorites were the fries! So good! My least favorite was the popcorn chicken, which is why I sadly had to deduct a star. I am serious when it comes to my popcorn chicken and although the chicken itself was generous in size, juicy and tender, the seasoning did not impress me. It was a bit salty and not enough savory. On another note, major brownie points for being open until 1am on the weekends! Definitely a place I will hit up for my late night boba cravings! If you are in the area, give FTB a try!! More...

Months later, here I am, FTB has won me over and made me a loyal customer. Staff like Michael here are so friendly and take good care of you. They make sure you are one happy camper and if your drinks aren't right, they'll make sure to change it and make it right for you. I still think their boba and popcorn chicken is one of the best here in Fremont of all the ones I've tried. Their boba is always fresh and soft to a point where I can feel the heat of the boba at the bottom of my cup. It's never half cooked like some other places, with the hard middle. The popcorn chicken is always fresh, tender and juicy. The batter not too thick. It's good. Try it. Their fries are also yummy. They have sweet potato, Cajun, other flavors...also good. FTB offer desserts here like toast with ice creams. They sometimes host events here which is pretty cool, like live music and poetry reading. Very chill vibe. You sit on couches with friends and have a good time...play some games while you are at it. More...

I love discovering new boba shops!! This one definitely didn't disappoint me! I was surprised by how much I actually loved all of the drinks that I tried! This place is definitely serves a lighter milky taste! Which I like better than heavier teas that make me feel bloated after. They warned me to get to 50% sweetness, because their teas are sweeter than other places. I really liked all their drinks at 50% although I wouldn't be afraid of trying 75% or even 100% when I have a sweet tooth! Factory Tea Bar. This place has changed and remodelled so many times that I've lost track of its history. Is Factory Tea Bar here to stay? Who knows? In my opinion, this location is a solid place for milk tea (although the boba they use is really, really sweet--too sweet for me). I also enjoy the fried chicken that they have there. All solid options. But solid doesn't mean outstanding. Aside from the decorations and the giant mural, this place is pretty much like any other milk tea place. It's quite average. (Side note: I was fine when I visited, but heard that my friends all got stomachaches when they visited at a different time.)When I was there, I ordered just the regular milk tea with boba (I think it's called the FTB milk tea, but I don't really remember), the fried chicken, and the peanut butter toast. All were, again, solid options and quite tasty, but not the best that I've ever had. Oh, and if you're wondering about the toast, they use the thick bread which is always fun to eat, at least for me! Prices are pretty normal for a place like this, but the artwork does give the restaurant a unique vibe. More...

Just like the one in SoCal! Drinks are a bit overpriced here and weren't as good. Green tea was very bitter even with 100% sweetness, I need to come back to try their Jasmine milk tea because I heard their milk teas are better than their regular teas. This is located where the old Tea Papa boba shop was. Came back to try their jasmine milk tea with boba. Jasmine milk tea with boba was $5 so a bit on the pricy side. Jasmine milk tea wasn't bad, a bit watery maybe from that big scoop of ice they put in the cup (almost 75% ice). Not sure if ice level can be adjusted because that was too much ice in a $5 drink. Boba was way too sweet, probably soaked in honey which was way too sweet but if you swirl it with the straw, it mixes with the water down tea so it balances out somewhat.Every place deserves chances and I'm so glad I came back because the owner, Michael is so friendly and accommodating! I'm going to come back whenever I'm down in the Fremont area! I tried their drinks again and followed the advice of Michael and only got 50% sweetness on the drinks since their drinks are on the sweeter side and it was perfect, I really enjoyed their jasmine milk tea with boba and Thai milk tea with boba. Also, I enjoy their food/snacks! My favorite food item was the popcorn chicken bento box which includes the onsen tamago and the delicious pickled veggies. My favorite snack item that they offered was their BBQ and sour cream seasoned fries, reminds me of two of my favorite flavors of the Lays chips! More...

Interesting atmosphere, good vibes, and decent boba. I'm a really big fan of the San Gabriel location down in SoCal so I was excited to try this one. Even though I don't think the drinks are as good here, they do a pretty good job of keeping that same fun environment--where you can just meet up with some friends and play a couple of games, which I like a lot about FTB. Tbh, the drinks are probably a 3/5 here (boba's kinda hard in my opinion), but the extra star is for the service. I wasn't able to catch her name, but one of the servers there re-made my drink (heads up peachLemonade is pretty sweet and sour) TWICE just to make sure it was how I wanted it, and was so nice about it the whole time (: She even just let me keep one of the first drinks that I didn't like, which I gave to my friend. Ok, this five star review might be because my expectations were so low... but maybe not. I'll come back a second time to confirm or update the review, hopefully next week.I had to get something notarized on my lunch break across the street, so I came by to treat myself to a tea and snack before heading back to work. I got the roasted oolong tea, half sweet, with boba, and popcorn chicken. The boba was really good, perfect amount of chew and soft. (The next test is consistency!) For some reason I feel like the boba is slightly larger than other places, as is the straw, but maybe I'm crazy. Either way, delicious.Popcorn chicken tasted exactly as I'd like it to, no greasy flavor and lots of crunch. Good job FTB. But that is a really weird mural. More...

# 3 Factory Tea Bar *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 7/7 *Rod's Yelp Rating *4 stars  (Warm Springs/Fremont/Milipitas Border)  This place (Factory Tea Bar)  is why I embarked on my boba tasting odyssey if you will. The lowerish yelp rating would have never brought me to this place and I already have a couple spots that I like but nevertheless I wanted to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment which is why I have it #3 out of 25 currently South 880 boba establishments. I gave it a 7/7 on my milk tea taste/boba taste 1 to 10 scale. It was just sweet enough and the boba was above average as well. Contrast this to One Tea which is located nearby which has a higher yelp rating but for my simple "regular boba with milk tea" needs doesn't hold a candle to this spot. I recently embarked on a completely pointless quest to rank most of the Milk Tea/Boba Places in San Francisco and realized I also need (well need is a debatable word) but I "chose" to make a list for the Fremont/Hayward/Newark/Union City South 880 Corridor. Rules: I ordered a simple milk tea with Boba (regular sweetness, ice etc.)Ranking explained:  #1 (listed at the top)  is my favorite/ #?  (listed at the bottom) is my least favorite. Check out my latest reviews/give me a follow for my latest up to date Rankings. Rod Boba Rating = (Taste of Milk Tea / Taste of Tapioca Balls) on a Scale of 1 to 10 (10/10) being the best score possible* Please note that I like my boba a little bit sweet. I don't like it too milky, too strong of a tea taste or too watery.  I prefer fresh tasting larger "boba".  Powdery drinks (those places that simply have a plastic carafe that they pour out of ) and boba that tastes "old" get docked on my rating scale.# 1 Itea *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 9/9 *Rod's Yelp Rating *5 stars # 2 TeaTop *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 8/7 *Rod's Yelp Rating * stars # 3 Factory Tea Bar *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 7/7 *Rod's Yelp Rating *4 stars # 4 Tea Station *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 7/7 *Rod's Yelp Rating *4 stars # 5 Gong Cha *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 7/7 *Rod's Yelp Rating *4 stars # 6 Milk and Honey Café *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 7/6 *Rod's Yelp Rating *4 stars # 7 T-Lab *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 6/6 *Rod's Yelp Rating *4 stars # 8 T4 *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 6/6 *Rod's Yelp Rating *3 stars # 9 85 degrees *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 6/5 *Rod's Yelp Rating *3 stars # 10 Che-Lo  *Rod Boba South 880 Rating * 6/5 *Rod's Yelp Rating *4 stars Just missed list: (Alpha)99% Tea House, Bambu, BlackBall Desserts, Boba Fitt, Boba Queen, CaFace, Fusion Mix, Jenjon's Café, Joy 4 Tea, Mandro Tea House, Mr. Green Bubble, One Tea, Qcup, Qt Monster, Quickly , Royal Tea, Sharetea, Sivan's Café, Sno Crave Tea House, Tapioca Express , Tata Tea, Tata Tea, Tea Six, Teaster, Teco Tea and Coffee Bar,Just a little taste of my greater Bay Area Tiers is below (there are 6 tiers I have in total, I've reviewed over 105 + boba spots now but obviously not enough room to list them all here) Tier 1 (Alphabetized) "Magnificent 4" aka " I'll get some even if I shouldn't..."Bubbly, I-Tea, Pekoe, TeatopTier 2 : (Alphabetized) "The Almost Elite..but not quite" aka " I'm a fan but not a die hard" Caffe Central, Cool Tea, Factory Tea Bar, Good Earth Café,  Gong Cha, Hanlin Tea, Little Sweet, Passion  T snacks and Dessets Puppy Bobar, Soyful Desserts,  Tea Station ,The Boba Shop, Tier 3 (Alphabetized)  "The Above average spots" aka " Sure why not..let's roll" : 85 Degree, BlackBall Desserts, Bobapia, Cha Express, Che-Lo, Keep it, Super Cue, T4, Tastea, Tata Tea, Tea Six,  Tea Station, Teaspoon, Teatime, The Ramen Bar, T-Lab, Tpumps, Wondertea, More...

I'm sad this place replaced Tea Papa, all my beloved high school memories are pretty much down the drain. However, what better place to replace Tea Papa than Factory Tea Bar? Yep, this boba shop is from SGV! I first got introduced to FTB 5 years ago, and was obsessed with their rose milk tea. But my boba taste buds have now evolved and become obsessed with OOLONG MILK TEA (my go to standard order at any boba shop). FTB does it perfectly here. No powdery taste, and full of that oolong tea flavor (thus the extra star). I've gotten grass jelly, boba, and pudding - all taste wonderful. You can adjust the sweetness and ice level, and order some snacks as they have quite an expansive menu. Plenty of games (Uno, cards, Apple to Apples) that you can use while waiting for your drinks or just relaxing with friends as a late night hangout. * $7 minimum for credit card is kind of annoying, so make sure you bring cash since one boba drink will cost you only $5.64 (yes a bit on the pricey side, but I do like their milk tea quality). ** Basically same design as Tea Papa, but less of the brighter colors. Also a very random skeleton greeting you right when you walk in. *** Current free topping is Mango Jelly when you check in on Yelp (for those of you who like freebies). More...

****$7.00 or more to pay with credit card!**** Came here after Thanksgiving to catch up on some work and thought that this would be a good place to work. At first glance, it is located in a plaza that is across from the plaza where Boiling Point is. It is easy to locate since it has a readable sign and did I mention their windows are designed in a cute way for the holidays? The interior design of this place is pretty cool where they have a nice wall mural that represents the golden gate bridge and some statues of it. I guess it is supposed to represent the Bay Area. They have a lot of seating here which is nice. They have 5 couches along with four tables for the couches. So that itself can fit a lot of people. They also have 2 big tables that can fit 4-6 people each. Not only do they have that, they also have two tables that can seat 2-3 people each. The only downfall of this place I think is that I could only locate 1 outlet in this place and it is located between the table that can seat only 2-3 people. If you get here early enough, you might be lucky to get the outlet to charge your computer while you do work. This boba place has quite a selection of food and drinks which is pretty cool. They have the option of hot or cold drinks, milk tea, fruit tea, flavored milk, flavored lemonade, slush, smoothies, energy drinks, and their signature drinks. As for food, they have fried snacks like popcorn chicken, French fries, sweet potato fries, fried gyoza, etc. They also have Toast such as their house special caramel toast and the condensed milk with Milo toast. The prices for the food range from $4.00 - 8:50.  I ended up ordering the passion fruit peach green tea along with lychee jelly, their popcorn chicken with 25% spicy and my boyfriend ordered the  Guava green tea. Both drinks were pretty good where the sweetness wasn't overpowered and it did not taste like the syrup which is nice. I would have to say that the popcorn chicken is only good when it's fresh and hot. In the end, I would definitely come back here for their drinks, but as for studying maybe not because I like to have the ability to get my outlet plug to charge my computer. Overall, I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for some good boba! More...

The decor interior is very welcoming and a nice place for you and your friends to hangout. Free Parking is open to the public in the plaza. The price of this location is very affordable and delicious! The customer service here are very nice and they help you recommend drinks that you may/May not like. Definitely give their Crystal Boba a try; it paired up nicely with their Nom Nom Green Tea! More...

This was an entirely new experience for me! I've never entered a tea shop so amiable and comfortable. There's really unique artwork covering the walls; it's also one of the first things you notice when you step in. Soft couches, tables, you name it. The workers are SUPER friendly and open to answering all of the questions I had about each of the teas. I appreciated the customer service so so much, especially because of how patient they were with me.I ordered the Factory Milk Tea at 100% sweetness, which was recommended by the workers as they don't add additional sweeteners or sugars to the drinks, meaning more of the sweetness = more of the flavor of the drink. I can say that I've never had a drink like this and it blew me away. For the flavor of the tea, alongside the size, I personally think that it's worth the price. I also ordered the Nom Nom Green Tea at 50% sweetness, which was just as great! Now let's talk about the toppings-- I ordered boba with both of my drinks and WOW. The topping comes warm and fresh; way tastier than any other boba shop I've been to, in all honesty. It's such a nice treat to the drinks which were already good to begin with. I'll definitely be visiting again soon and trying more off of the menu, and I'll be trying their variety of foods too! More...

It feels kind of surreal being able to drink fresh Factory Tea Bar in Norcal :') I'm really happy that they decided to open a store up here! NOM NOM GREEN TEA ALL DAYYY ERRRDAYYYY! All the drinks and snacks I've tried at this location are equally delicious as they are in Socal! The only bad thing is that they don't have stamp cards yet and they won't accept stamp cards from Socal. Don't worry if you haven't tried this place in Socal, just try it here and thank me later... It'll be your new favorite boba shop. This location is really spacious with plenty of couches and tables to sit at. They have games that you could play with as well! Yay for Jenga, Cards against Humanities, and Apples to Apples! Also, there's plenty of parking in this plaza. P.S. Did anyone else notice how this location and the one in San Gabriel are both on a street/boulevard named Mission? :o More...

We came here on Sunday night and the store is not crowded but I can see why this place is popular from young teenage group. The decoration inside is pretty modern and hipster with the lighting letter FTB which you can clearly see from outside window, they have some cozy sofas to sit down and we ordered some drinks and snacks. The gyoza is pretty juicy and tender, and we ordered a smoothie called nam nam, which is really good and comes with boba and pudding ($5.75) , overall I had a good experience here and I will come back again soon I guess cause I will go to Livermore outlet soon for thanksgiving lol :pp More...

looking at the menu, I thought the drink would be overpriced. But they match their quality to the price. The tea tastes fresh and good quality. As for the boba, it is flavorful with the appropriate texture. The artwork and music is not what I'm used to for a milk tea place but other than that it's worth coming back. I ended up ordering the FTB milk tea. I wasn't the biggest fan of the milk tea just because  the milk to tea ratio was a little too high for my taste. I ordered their Honey Milk Green Tea with boba, regular sweetness and regular ice. Drinks came out quickly and the boba was warm and chewy. The tea was strong, but tasty. I also ordered the BBQ seasoned fries and the popcorn chicken.  Both were very good; seasoned just right, so the taste is not too over or underwhelming like other restaurants. If you like BBQ pringles, you will like these fries. This restaurant is very visually pleasing. The mural on the wall is very unique, as well as the framed art. When Socal's popular boba shop migrates up to Norcal is when I run through the town ringing a bell, screaming HEAR YE HEAR YE. Yes, I did that through the cyber space of FB and announced its arrival. .::Dranks::. BOGO came on 10/15/17 (their last day of BOGO promo)NomNom green milk tea ($4.50): their special milk tea with hints of caramel with the oh so famous hot/warm boba served in the cold drink. What I always look forward to. It was a great combo and you can definitely customize your drink sweetness and ice level. Orange green tea ($4.25): VERY orange-y. If you are looking for a burst of orange fruity drink, you have found it. .::Ambiance/Parking/Staff::.Ambiance was not as nicely decorated like the one in Socal, but still had interesting art on the walls. Chairs were uncomfortable metal chairs in the dine in section or the no back stools in the waiting area.
