Tl;dr: I had my 1st ever app't w/ a psychiatrist & felt scammed.

We met over telehealth. I called ahead to confirm this was ok since I had been referred for med. management. I was unaware you could practice med. management over telehealth. They confirmed it was ok.

I scheduled my app't online for days after I was due for a med refill. It was only an "as needed" med, so they requested to reschedule stating that they had to wait 28 days after I pick up to my meds per DEA laws. I told them that was no problem, & used the herbs and meditation techniques members of my care team taught me to get through the gap in meds.

We met online. When he finally connected, he didn't have his vid on. I asked if he checked his vid settings. He said it gave him trouble all day, but he called several times. I wondered why he called if we were already connected online, he could see & hear me & I could hear him. I told him I practice professionalism at work & don't check my personal phone but every couple hours for anything urgent. He reminded me that I had an app't with him. I told him, exactly, so particularly now would not be the time for me to sit on my personal phone while at work when we were already connected to our app't. It was a weird interaction.

I provided my medical documents & the referral from my family Dr. I provided the info my family Dr. advised me about regarding meds I had tried & meds we found to be successful in treating 6 of my diagnoses. I showed him my physical prescription bottles - my family Dr. had recently changed dosage of one of them & I straightened that out w/ my family Dr.

After providing the info my family Dr. gave me for the psychiatrist, he told me we were not a fit because I was taking 2 controlled substances which he thought would be better managed in person. I told him that's what I thought originally which is why I called ahead to double check. I also told him I felt stressed & anxious about the inconsistency of med. care lately, which is par for the course when you have a stress & an anxiety disorder. He apologized & offered to follow up with me within a couple of days regarding reimbursement for our $195 10min. appointment.

I never received a follow-up, so called the clinic days later to check the reimbursement status. They told me he sent discharge paperwork. I told them that was fine, it was consistent w/ what he & I talked about. I hadn't received that yet & requested they send it to me. They said they already had & they would again which I still haven't received. I also informed them that my clinic regularly discharges patients, however if they have circumstances change & need to resume services, we can easily readmit them. I told them I coordinated with my family Dr. to stop taking 1 of the 2 meds I talked about with the psychiatrist since it was only minimally effective, so it would just be 1 med remaining on the referral. That was when the rep. informed me that he discharged me because I was "exhibiting high drug seeking behavior", so they would not readmit me.

I was completely shocked; I opened the conversation w/ the psychiatrist by telling him this was my 1st time, so asked him to guide me. The info he asked for was consistent with the info my family Dr. gave me. So, I Googled what "drug seeking behavior" was. It said things like: needing to make app'ts urgently/at days end, calling regularly, requesting specific meds & not being open to alternatives, dressing in an odd manner, "Dr. shipping", coming from out of town, etc.

NONE of this occurred at all in any way it could be construed. I have the same Dr. & care team for 7+ years. I dressed in a plain tank top & pair of cotton shorts, it was over 100°. I went with the flow when the clinic needed to change the app't. I showed openness to other meds/ non medicinal care with my regular therapy, PT, ND, & GP having had me try 30+ combined treatments. I called about the reimbursement during normal biz hrs. The app't occurred in the town I live.

They still ghosted me about the reimbursement & treated me like a criminal in the process.

Don’t waste your money time. or lie to them I guess. Told them I was in extreme anxiety stress and they offered me trazadone and tizanidine, a muscle relaxer. Super duper helpful jerks. Don’t bother to complain the clinic won’t do anything. I called them and they wouldn’t even offer me another chance to talk to another dr. Or my money back. I am in distress and cannot sleep. I've been dealing with PTSD and anxiety for quite some time now and have been going to therapy to help, but felt that the companion of an animal would help as well. I've always loved cats and I have been comforted by their presence. My therapist even recommended I get an ESA (she couldn't write the letter unfortunately), so I decided to find a clinic that could help. My primary care doctor said he wouldn't be able to help, but after talking to a friend she recommended EzCare to me. She was able to get an ESA letter with no problems and is now happy with her dog. I'm so glad I listened to her because now I have my little Charlie and because of this letter I'll be able to be accommodated at my new place I'm renting. I was apprehensive about reaching out to a doctor so far away as I live in San Diego. I also had misgivings about finding them online due to the warnings about online ESA letters. All of that worrying was for nothing. These people are here to help you. They are all professional across the board from the front desk to the physician. I am blessed to have Dr. Christine Boudreau as my doctor. She is so knowledgeable, professional, and her bedside manner is amazing. She got me talking and her training had me spilling my guts to her and let me tell you, I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from me after our session. What's more, the ESA letter I requested was simply for housing purposes and the one she gave me works for that, travel and more. I was afraid my landlord was going to throw my girls and I on the street because my PCP note wasn't good enough. Dr. Bourdreau and the EZ Care staff saved us! Very pleased with my experience! Exceptional service, easy/flexible scheduling, and they helped me feel comfortable talking about a difficult subject. I used EZClinic for an Emotional Support Animal letter. I have a therapist for my PTSD and anxiety. Though my therapist felt I would benefit from an ESA, she was not familiar with the ESA laws herself and suggested I try utilizing an online option. I sadly found a lot of ESA sites to feel like total scams (no contact with an actual doctor, no one answers when you call, etc). It’s important to have a legitimate need and use an actual doctor for an ESA letter as airlines now may require you to submit in advance or may spot check validity of letters at check in. I had a telemedicine appointment conducted via FaceTime with a licensed doctor who assessed my condition and advised care accordingly. She was really helpful in addressing my needs and supplied a direct line number for follow up. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic to friends. More...

I wanted to get a dog very badly for many years, but my landlord doesn't allow them. My therapist said she could certify me for an ESA, but would have to meet him first. Since I was rescuing him and wanted the documentation before he arrived, she actually recommended EZCare Clinic.Their process was crazy fast and efficient, I literally received my letter the same day I made an online appointment (which is exactly what I needed). I spoke to the doctor over the phone and she was able to certify me for an ESA.I was extremely worried about the legitimacy of any ESA service after reading may online reviews about the various scams out there, but I've successfully used my EZCare housing/travel letter with my landlord and on Southwest. I booked a flight on American Airlines and found out I needed a specific form filled out by my certifying doctor, and they sent it to me via email very quickly and free of charge. Amazing service! This is the only doctor's office I've ever been to where I can get same day appointments and where I'm actually seen at my appointment time, without any wait. Dr. Daniels treats you with respect, frankness and kindness. I actually go out of my way to come back to her now as my general practitioner. Even after I've moved away and have to commute to an appointment, I know I'll *still* have a better experience because the staff is friendly and I can actually plan the rest of my day knowing they stay on schedule. On another note, I read the negative reviews out of curiosity and I frankly think it's fine if you are vehemently against medical marijuana but there are people for whom its their only effective form of chronic pain relief so bashing a clinic that is open-minded enough to supply that for them is harmful, not helpful. I come to this clinic for my general physicals so I've been a few times over the years and the clientele spans all ages and economic statuses, so it's just rude and incorrect to label people who come here drug addicts, and unfortunately might scare away someone proactively searching for helpful alternatives to medicines that aren't working.Dr. Daniels is thoughtful and speaks with you about what is appropriate, and takes time to understand your health concerns. Was fairly easy to get an appointment. Used yelp offer and saved some money. Nothing negative besides the people who were remodeling (nothing to do with clinic) didn't put wet paint signs up docs staff had to. Don't let location fool you it's a clinic. If I knew about this place before I would of been coming just gets expensive paying out of pocket. Parking was fine to me but I got lucky. I'm really pleased with the service I got from EzCare Medical Clinic. The staff was understanding, efficient and helpful. Dr . Daniels took care of me today and  was a sweet heart, heard me and Identified my issues and helped me. They got me as a patient, I never felt that confortable in doctors appointments and they made this process really easy for me. The clinic provided my ESA letter as a metod of healthy and natural treatment for my issues. I was on vacation and returned home to SF early due to a back injury - muscle spasms. On the way home, I realized my alternative medicine license was expired and I knew I needed a hot bath and CBD asap! Doctor Daniels was very compassionate and could see I was pretty uncomfortable.
