We hired Exovations to perform a complete renovation of the exterior of a 4-bedroom lake house that we own on Lake Lanier (Dawsonville, GA) in October and November of 2019. We had Exovations remove the exterior of this house down to the studs (old wood vertical Cedar siding, insulation, water barrier, plywood, soffits, facia, porch ceilings, gutters, some studs, and accompanying materials) and fully replace the foregoing old materials with new cement horizontal Hardie Board siding, soffits, facia and porch ceilings, and with new insulation, water barrier, plywood, some studs, Leaf-X gutters, and accompanying materials). When we initially met with sales representative Byron Nichelson, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and he is one of the reasons that we selected this company for this work. Our project manager for this very large project, Chris Campbell, was also wonderful to work with, extremely efficient and knowledgeable, and had the job completed very professionally and on time. All of the various Exovations employees that worked at our house were also very nice and professional, clearly being very skilled at their various jobs. We had Exovations replace all of our windows and siding 5 years ago and we are still happy with their work. That is the primary reason why when we were ready to add a covered front porch/portico/new front door and a screened-in back porch, Exovations got the winning bid. Josh Bailey knows his stuff and made some wonderful recommendations. He helped us come up with a design that we would be happy with, that would fix a number of annoying issues we have had to live with and within a budget that we could live with. Our experience with Exovations has been exceptional. This project was the second time we used Exovations on our home. This time we knew we had to replace our 20 year old deck, upper and lower. We met with Mike Marynak who came to our home went over the process and materials available. He helped us dream about what their new deck / porch could be. This was a huge project. We were excited when we met our project manager Chris Campbell and discussed in great detail the timeline of events that will occur on this project build. Through out the project those expectations were kept to the exact date and finished on time. The carpenters and painters on the Exovations team were precise, careful, and cleaned up after themselves everyday. Chris was hands on at our home everyday to check on the progress. We just completed replacing all of our old windows with new ones. Exovations did a great job from start to finish. We love our new windows! We researched for 18 months before making a decision. Our sales guy Josh Bailey was so patient with all of our questions. Our project manager Chris Campbell gave a schedule and stuck to it. Everything went smoothly and any issues I brought up were quickly resolved. Josh and Patrick did a great job with the installation including some difficult spaces. Better than a great experience. Fantastic and stress free!!! From the beginning meeting Byron Nichelson , we knew the company was going to be the correct choice. Project manager, Chris Campbell was superior managing the contractors. All the contractors cleaned up after each day of work using large magnets, using blowers and disposing of trash. In fact, other than the work performed it was as they weren’t on the job. That clean! Every project had a schedule and the schedule was on a calendar. The estimated finish date was also met. With all of the nightmare stories of hiring contractors for home renovations, I can confidently state Exovations is the “real deal”. Last week Exovations started tearing down and rebuilding our new deck. When they began digging the holes for the deck footings, they stopped abruptly, and shortly after that, Chris Campbell, our project manager called us with some unexpected - and unwanted - news. It seems that when digging the footings, they hit open caverns under the area where the new deck will be. Chris explained that it was probably a sinkhole, He came the next morning to see for himself and reached out to an engineering company that he has worked with and set up an appointment with him for us. In the meantime, we contacted a sinkhole company, Sinkhole Atlanta. One of the first things he shared with us - other than he was pretty sure it was a sinkhole just by looking at the ground - was how fortunate we were that the contractor did not just keep going as if there was not a problem. He shared that he had just finished repairing a sinkhole issue in which they went on and built the deck, then had it collapse and have to be taken down and rebuilt. I have shared this information with several friends who have been amazed at the conscientiousness and ethics of our contractor. Bob and I just want to express to you how appreciative we are of Jeff and Chris during this process. The good news is that it’s only costing us a few days and we are hoping to have the sinkhole repaired by the end of this week. Thank you! This is the third time we have used Exovations for Window replacement.All three times we received excellent service and workmanship. We found Exovations from there add on WSB radio. We decided to give them a try based on their promises. We were greatly surprised. They were fantastic. They did everything they said they would do, went the extra mile in making sure our project went smoothly and exactly on time and for the exact price they quoted. They even did what ever it took to do a superior job. Wes Peavy was our project manager and anytime I wanted to ask a question he was available, weekday or weekend and all hours of the day. We were out of the country while the work was being done but our house sitter was here. She raved about how polite and professional the workmen were and each day left the area just as clean as they found it. When I get another project I will surely use them again. Best experience with home renovations ever. We did a major face lift of our home from roof, siding, gutters, trim, door and stonework. The Exovations team was awesome from start to finish. We had several meetings to discuss our options. They completed a design review to show us what the finished product would look like. Extremely professional, friendly and helpful. As far as the actual work, super communication and follow up. Exovations assigns a Project Manager to the entire scope of work. Our project manager, Wes, communicated with us daily on the timeline and was incredibly responsive to any questions and changes we had during the project. The individuals doing the work are Exovations employees. Great workers. Very friendly and respectful to our property. The workers would clean up our yard and the rest of the site every evening at the end of the day. If you are looking for a great company here in GA that is going to treat you as if you are their only customer, these are the guys to go to. Our home looks absolutely beautiful. I have a back patio about 20'x25' that from around 11 in the morning until the sun goes down, it's entirely too hot to sit out side or use it. I called Exovations to come out and see what we could do so we could enjoy our patio. Katie Smith came out and took notes and measurements and came back with 2 options, one was what I described to her and the other was their idea. I went with their idea and am really glad that I did. I had Wes Peavy as my project manager and he did an excellent job in keeping me informed to what and when things were happening. From start to finish I had no worries. Choosing Exovations to complete my siding replacement was perhaps one of the smartest decisions I've made so far. I contemplated between two companies before I decided to use Excavations. Chris Campbell, the overall project manager, Hector, who oversaw the siding project and Miguel, who was responsible for the pain crew, were all outstanding workers. They communicated well with me and ensured I understood the process. The team of men and women that completed the project were very polite and respectful. Excellent work!! This company hires true craftsmen to perform highly detailed, quality work. It was done on time and "surprises" that were uncovered (rotten wood, etc) were overcome quickly and almost painlessly. We had 30 windows, a door, entire rear siding, new covered porch, new gutters installed, and wow, we have a new house!!! I had 19 windows on my home replaced. Easy process from beginning to end. The salesperson, Chris Ray gave me a fair price and promptly followed up with several questions I asked him. We moved to a true fixer-upper last year and called the Exovations team to help us with a complete overhaul of the entire exterior—siding, painting, porch railings, rescreening of our porch (a 900 sq ft screened porch! ), reworking of our deck, rebuilding an upstairs porch, etc. Basically they transformed our home. The Exovations team was incredibly professional from start to finish. Joy Branch led us through the estimating and contracting phase effortlessly—which was not easy given the scope of our project. Joy’s is a joy to work with! We were then lucky enough to have Joseph Guynup as our project manager. Joseph went above and beyond at every turn. He kept us constantly informed every step of the way, clearly explaining every snag/modification, laying out our options and helping us think through what we should do given our ultimate goals for the project. He even went so far as to give us guidance in managing the roofers we hired (the only part of the job Exovations couldn’t do given the size of the metal roof we wanted). He never hesitated to make a trip to our property (which is not in a convenient location) to meet with us about any concerns we had. Joseph so closely monitored the job that he would flag issues for us long before we would have noticed (such as realizing the screens for our porch were ever so slightly too small and re-ordering and reinstalling the right size)—and everything was fixed and made right right away. We’ve been through other big remodels and were dreading this one. But Joseph, Joy and the rest of the Exovations crew made it truly painless and actually kind of enjoyable! We are very pleased with the job Exovations did for us. From the great salesman Scott who worked hard to get everything we asked for at a price we could live with to our awesome project manager Chris Campbell. He went above and beyond his duties. When the project was finished Chris pushed my husband in his wheelchair around the entire outside of the house so he could see for himself that it was to his satisfaction. Our house is on a hill.. It was a great experience working with Joseph at Exovations during the remodel of the exterior of our house. After initially planning on the addition of a front pergola and steps and going from single door with side lights to double doors, we added new roof, gutters, shutters and painting the entire house. Many days we were ahead of schedule and wound up just a few days past due to iron railings. I just love the recessed can light with dimmer and new side lights.
