Visited this restaurant on a culinary tour and went back the next day for brunch, great food and service
Mostly good food with great service.Lola s There's something for everyone.
I loved the atmosphere, service and food at Eli's table. I was in town for business and wanted a nice filet and a bottle of wine. I picked the perfect place! The steak was cooked perfectly, the wine was great, and the service was excellent! I will definitely return. More...
I travel frequently and my dog comes with me often. So finding a good quality meal where I can bring her too is important. Great brunch and a happy pooch. Good times. More...
Great food! Nice atmosphere! Neat drink selection! A great place for brunch and jazz :D
Potatoes were the bomb
Signature dishes are to die for!
Food was delicious, and service was excellent.
Ok... let's start with the service. It was fantastic, the server was present but not hovering... he had an excellent knowledge of the menu and accurately made sure our specific requests were honored. The beef carpaccio was out of this world a d do not skip the fried green tomatoes... the filet and scallops were FANTASTIC.. as far as dessert I cannot accurately describe the whole experience of our upside down key lime pie, so I just took a picture. It is a pricey dinner but worth every penny More...
Shrimp & Grits are just the best, no place better any where! Gouda Mac & Cheese also very good. Great service as well.
Good didnt let us sit inside in the heat
Best Grouper I have ever had. The fish was outstanding, the sides weren't bad. Loved the vibe of the place and the staff was very friendly and personable.
This was amazing food and service. I had the ribeye steak and was probably the best the ever! Was great!!
Visited Eli's table for dinner around 2 years ago and have been craving their Gouda Fondue ever since!! We visited again the other night and were again 100% satisfied. Our server, Luke, was amazing and really made our experience an enjoyable one. Even though their menu is on the smaller size, everyone in our party was able to find something they enjoyed and their portions left everyone satisfied. Counting down the days until our next visit. We didn't have food, we were just at the bar. The ambience was nice and the jazz music (only on Thursday) was lovely.
Great service! The food was amazing also.
Absolutely great, wonderful service and fun and interesting food. Charles was a lovely server who was more than happy to partake in friendly banter!
Dinner was AMAZING - highly recommend the Duck and Waffle and all of the desserts. Charles our waiter was very nice and accommodating for our large group.
Excellent food. Best duck, brussel sprouts, and waffles I’ve had. Charles was a quick server who got all of orders correct.
Definitely a do over! Breakfast was awesome. Shrimp and grits Benedict? Yes, and it's fabulous! Our waitress, Jennifer was just as good as the food. Ask for her, you won't be disappointed! More...
Perfect restaurant . Bon Appetit .
Stopped in for brunch our first day in Charleston. Kimberly was an incredible server and our food was amazing. We had the avocado bacon sandwich, the French onion Benedict and the biscuit with Tasso gravy. It was all delicious!!
We loved our brunch at Eli's! Server was very charismatic. Beignets were great. Fried green tomatoes were excellent. I loved my fried oyster Benedict, and my friend really enjoyed her avocado and egg sandwich (?). She also LOVED her Bloody Mary. I really loved my peach Bellini! I will most certainly be back. More...
Nice service. Food was pretty decent. Wanted to try their beignets to see how they compared to Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. Let’s just say, Eli Table’s beignets are Canal Street Gucci. They look like the real thing, can pass for the real thing, but can’t compare to the real thing. More...
Great resturant. The food is amazing. The service is top notch. Managers are present. Well put together place. The gallery next door has painting inside. Jazz on Thursdays. Highly recommend! More...
The staff was professional and attentive from the moment they opened the door. The food was unusual and delectable, and the little patio outside is one of Charleston’s “hidden gems”!
We had breakfast not just once but twice. Austin was our server and did a wonderful job. Breakfast was excellent!!!!
Really delicious food !
Excellent food! Extremely efficient and pleasant staff!
This is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at during my stay in Charleston SC. I first went here to grab some beignets for a snack and loved the place and went back to try some more food of there and loved it. This is truly a great restaurant and the staff was incredible, they were very helpful and comprehensive, and were able to tell you everything about the menu. They have an amazing venue with and outdoor courtyard which doesn't dissapoint. They have great shrimp and grits and a dynamic menu. I went to this place every morning for breakfast and loved it, it's truly a great restaurant. More...
One of our favorite stops in Charleston. They have amazing brunch food. We always get the fried green tomatoes, which are layered with pimento cheese and surrounded, in a soup style bowl, with burnt garlic and some other yummy sauce, that I haven't quite figured out. I also had the sweet potato pancakes (no syrup needed) and a side of bacon. My boyfriend had the Eli burger, and he said it was tasty and very filling. He couldn't finish it, because of its substantial size. It's a great spot in downtown Charleston, that is sure to please. More...
good breakfast, best grits, happy friendly service, will go again
Great food, service, and ambiance. I would recommend.
Food is great, service is great, and you can’t ask for much more. We got the steak and grouper. Both came out perfectly.
Delicious, high quality meals. High end service with detailed and personable staff. Luke was very friendly and his opinion was well noted in our dinner selection. 10/10 would recommend. My new husband and I already look forward to coming back, and SOON! More...
Fabulous!! The food is great. The service is excellent and the location is fantastic!! Love this place
Loved Eli's Table. They also can cater to shellfish allergies.
All the food displays are very appealing and thoughtful. The French fries were a hit and I'm not a fry fan. The best grilled cheese with the basil and tomato is something new seek out for a late lunch. I had a special drink made as it was no longer on the menu and it was exactly as delicious as I remembered. You can't go wrong with Eli's Table. More...

Loved the food, a bit expensive
Food was amazing. Servers were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely eat there again.
Amazing sweet potatoes pancakes! No wait on a Monday morning.
Very nice restaurant. The staff was amazing. All the food was very good and would definitely go back again. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they messed up my order. I highly recommend though.
Very friendly staff. We visited with our two boys, 6 & 4, and the staff was welcoming. We ordered the beet salad, fried green tomatoes, beef carpaccio, shrimp and grits with seared scallops on the side, sautéed kale, and Mac and cheese. Yes, it was a ton of food. Yes, we enjoyed every bite. I would skip the beef carpaccio in the future, but it was still very good. Each dish was well done, balanced, and presented well. The shrimp and scallops and grits lived up to the awards they have brought in. Do not skip the fried tomatoes- amazing. More...
Great service and food. The fried oysters were outstanding. My server suggested the duck and waffles and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish I could remember his name to give him props. Excellent experience! More...

My daughter and I stopped in last minute. The food and service was great. We were a little disappointed that the machine was down for mocha lattes, but had coffee instead. The waffles and berries were out of site; presentation was fabulous too. I had an omelette that was cooked to perfection. Nice, quaint place. More...
We went there at 4 pm, a time when most other restaurants were closed between lunch and dinner. We were starved after a two hour walking tour. Tony, our server, was incredibly warm and gracious. We came in for brunch and there was a short wait; but, we were able to sit at the bar and be served immediately. I had sweet potato pancakes, which were great! My son had shrimp and grits and he enjoyed them. He said the portion size was a little small for him; but, the dish was delicious. The staff was friendly and service was fast. More...
My husband and I chose this restaurant as opposed to the wait at Toast for breakfast. The mimosas were top notch (fresh squeezed orange juice), the bacon infused bloody Mary a meal of its own, the low country breakfast was awesome and the crab cakes with house made roumolade was awesome. Service was great. The music (80s music, R & B) was great. More...
I was outside the restaurant looking over the menu trying to decide if I wanted to stop and try it out. I was quickly greeted by one of the staff who was very professional and knowledgeable which helped me make up my mind to give this place a try. Amazing food an amazing service! Everything on the menu is delicious. Kimberly and Frank gave us recommendations for other places to eat why we are here. Definitely a spot to be a repeat customer. More...
My husband and I went to Eli's Table while on vacation to Charleston for our anniversary. Our waiter, Mr. Carey, was a delight to work with. He gave us recommendations for food that Eli's Table was known for, and his recommendation for wine made the perfect complement. All together, we had one of the best food experiences tonight for dinner. The fried green tomatoes definitely earned the title of "Best Fried Green Tomatoes on the East Coast". The Duck and Waffles took a known comfort food to a divine level. The Day Boat Scallops was a playful mix of local seasonal vegetables with perfectly cooked scallops. We finished the meal with table-side fired creme brulee and an order of tiramisu. Both my husband and I agreed that the meal was wonderful and we will definitely will be returning to Eli's Table. Thank you, again, Mr. Carey, and kitchen staff, for a wonderful dining experience. More...
Got the chicken and sweet potato waffles, easily the best brunch I've had in Charleston. Sitting in the courtyard was picturesque and there was enough shade that we weren't sweating it out even in the late morning. Dog friendly!

Came here during a girl’s weekend. Amazing brunch. The back patio has a great atmosphere. Service was top notch. Carey gave us great recommendations around town.
Food was great. Service was far off par.
We had such a wonderful experience here. Our server, Austin, was so kind and helpful, he really elevated our meal and we can’t thank him enough for his hospitality! Everyone in our party had a wide range of dishes and each one was as delicious and enjoyable as the next. We also had the Peach Bellinis which were incredible and I had one of their Bacon Bloody Mary’s and I wish they made them like that in Colorado!!We really did have such a wonderful experience and look forward to our next visit to Charleston so we can come back to enjoy everything again. The food is good but the wait was pretty long. And parking was difficult but the facility is very clean and the staff is very helpful and courteous
The kind of service you would expect from an upscale restaurant as well as delicious food. It is upscale so you'll spend a pretty penny but the atmosphere, service, and food are worth the price. It was my first time here and I'm returning again just two days after my first visit. More...
I love this little restaurant. You are never disappointed. The service is great, the atmosphere is amazing and the food is phenomenal. It’s a great lunch date spot!!
Great food and atmosphere!
The food and atmosphere were amazing!
Burger is really good, service is great
Went in for breakfast, couldn't decide what to order. My wife, my best friend and i finally decided on Eli's Special (bacon, eggs, potatoes, biscuit); his wife had green omelet said it was fantastic. Eli's Special was well prepared, potatoes a hit with our group. Service friendly and competent but just a little slow. Not enough of a hindrance to ruin our meal as we're all retired with no plans for the day. This was a perfect way to start the day. We'll be back on our next trip to Charleston! More...
Came to eat when the AC was broken. The bartender that served me was in the "broken AC zone" (probably 90 degrees inside), but had a smile on his face the entire time, was extremely professional and polite dispite the circumstances. Great service, phenomenal food. Can't recommend this place enough. More...
Delicious! Celebrated graduation with a delicious dinner at Eli's Table last night. Sam, our server, and the management turned our special day into a special night. Started with an order of their award winning Fried Green Tomatoes with pimento cheese served atop a tomato coulis with aged balsamic along with an order of the Prosciutto and Fig Crostini. The Duck and Waffles was the perfect combination of savory and sweet, perfectly cooked duck with sweet potato waffles with a maple bacon glaze and cinnamon butter served with roasted brussel sprouts. Sam was right...the Dry Boat Scallops were phenomenal, perfectly seared large scallops were tender and delicious served over a butternut squash puree with seasonal vegetables including squash, zucchini and carrots. The Smoked Gouda Macaroni and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes were the perfect sides. To cap the evening off, Tres Leche Chocolate Cake and Creme Brulee finished off table side with an impressive torching display...Thank you Sam! When in Charleston, you have to stop by Eli's Table on Meeting Street, call ahead and make reservations, you don't want to miss this one. More...
The food was wonderful and the serving sizes ample. We had leftovers for brunch the next day - still great.Seafood risotto, fried oysters, calamari - just to name a few of the delicious items. The service was perfect as well.
Top notch. maybe the best patio meal we've had. Berries in waffle were the freshest. Fried green tomatoes a true work of culinary art! We'll be back for sure.
Grits with shrimps is ideal. I loved it.
I've never paid $15 dollars for a waffle but, it was the best waffle I ever had. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back.
Wonderful place and food
Went here with a party of 8 for dinner while in town on business. Made reservations a week ago. Promptly sat near the window and greeted by our server. Great personality, well versed in the menu. I will say he noticeably steered us to the highest priced items on the menu, but hey- that's part of it, right .We ordered several bottles of Duckhowrn 2016 some cocktails, and a white wine. Great start! We then ordered fried green tomatoes and the gouda fondue. Superb!! Our main course varied with most getting the shrimp and grits, some had scallops, and one had the mahi. All entrees were excellent! Topped it off with dessert. Creme brule, tres leches, and cheesecake. Table side service for creme brule! Perfect toasting! Definitely would return. Complimentary bubbly from the owner! One star deduction for our small friends in flight near the windows. Otherwise, purely exceptional. More...
Great breakfast spot. Great staff.
Unbelievable. A great meal and experience. We arrived a bit close for my comfort to closing time and were hesitant to keep the staff around as it felt rude. We were welcomed and assured that they were more than happy to have us dine with them. All of the staff was outstanding. Charles was the best waiter. Our family party of four had an excellent time and all of the food was fantastic. This was my favorite restaurant experience of the year. More...

We went to Elis table for our regional sales meeting and had an extraordinary experience. We had a hard time finding a place that would accommodate us, after speaking with Luis he made it so easy. As a local here in Charleston I was feeling the pressure of showing the team an amazing time, and we really picked the right place! The staff was fun, engaging and helpful. They made a special menu for us and every thing in the menu was insane delish (I had the filet and was still talking about how perfect and delish it was 3 days later). I highly recommend dinnng and will be back again and again! I look forward to trying their brunch soon. More...

Great food and bloody Mary's
I Ended up having their steak whilst visiting family for the winter holiday. It was amazing -so, too were the Brussels sprouts. It might have been the night we were there or the timing, but we ran into problems with other customers (namely too loud and drunk to the point where our waiter worked with the host to get our party moved inside so that we could hear each other again) and the bathrooms alternating between in and out of order. The jazz guitar musician playing this night was brilliant - really set the atmosphere and complemented the cuisine. Not one complaint from my dinner guests on their meals whatsoever. More...

We arrived for our reservation and were escorted next door to the art gallery where about 6-7 tables were set up. Only 1 other couple was there and it was quiet and uncomfortable. Soon, however, Lindsay arrived (our lovely server) who brightened us up with some conversation and soon, the place was full making it much more a restaurant experience. The idea was great, now that I think about it. The owner(?) arranged for it the week before and he was incredibly pleasant as well when he came by to check on us.The She Crab Soup... get the bowl. It is so very good. I wanted to try the tomato bisque but couldn't have everything. The smoked gouda fondue... also really good. Comes with apples, grapes, smoked sausage, big pretzel pieces and maybe one more thing, can't remember. The espresso rubber rib eye was huge and so very delicious, perfectly cooked. It came with asparagus and I recommend planning on an empty stomach going there if you want this. The lamb shank comes on couscous and was also packed with meat. So very good! The only issue was we got a $38 bottle of wine but got charged $46. Clearly a mix up and nobody's fault. Cute spot and great food! More...

Great atmosphere and great food.
Nice place, cozy, tasty foods and beers. Kitchen lacks some ventilation, thats the only downside i remember.
Very nice service, very polite stuff. Place is pet friendly. Nice selection of wines. There was life music - guitar player and a singer. Good food but a bit pricey, expect to spend $40 per meal. I tried their hamburger and shrimp and grits, which as waiter said won for the third time in a row some reward. It was tasty but really salty. I like salt and usually find food in US lacking salt. I guess their chef likes salt more than me. More...

Went to Eli’s Table and asked the waitress Amanda if there was any vegan options. She said there was and we went through the menu to show me what other things could also be made vegan. I had the chicken and vegetables without the chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The grain they used is ferro, i believe, and the dressing was perfect. It’s so nice to have someone make suggestions and not just say “salad.” Carrots, green and yellow squash, potatoes, and ferro. I will definitively try and make this at home. 5 stars! More...
Quaint breakfast spot in between a few of Charlestons lovely hotels. From now on, when I think of "Southern Charm" I will think of Eli's Table. We went here for lunch and it was AMAZING. I had a grilled cheese and tomato soup and my boyfriend had some divine chicken and waffles. It's a little pricey, but worth every cent! More...
Eli's Table is cozy, romantic and the food and service are exceptional!!! It's a little pricy but well worth it for special occasions.
Amazing food, spectacular service, beautiful venue.
The breakfast here was really good. I had one of their eggs Benedict’s and coffee. It all tasted great
Great ambience. Creative menus and excellent friendly service. Oh, the food is fantastic.
Great food at reasonable prices. Lovely deck on back with ceiling fans to keep you cool. Friendly servers and delicious drinks.
Great Food! Cute place, a little small but nice atmosphere
The service was superb and my meal was absolutely delightful.
I wonderful experience
Great breakfast, great staff and good value. The sweet potato pancakes were excellent.
Mountain Community Acupuncture
So delicious! I lovedy chicked and waffles plus a great cocktail. .The Botanist.
Food (crab cakes) and drinks were delicious! Relaxing/romantic atmosphere. Our server, Bryce, was fantastic. Especially, when we needed to quickly pack things up to head home to little ones. Would have preferred to not have been seated next to a large bachelorette party that had a lot of bar patrons coming and going, but not a huge deal. They were having fun. All in all it was an enjoyable meal. More...
Good breakfast. Good selection, not overly fancy food, which is a good thing. Breakfast is breakfast and Eli's makes a great one. Can't go wrong.
This place is very nice and expensive but the person that recommended it to us overestimated my wallet
Great staff, great food, great dessert. Overall amazing!! Best food on our trip!
Very nice. Very charming. I will visit them again.
Fancy and upscale. Can sit at the bar for full service if you don't have reservations.
Nice place to eat
The sweet potato pancakes were delicious, coffee was great, and service was awesome.
Best restaurant in Charleston for a reason. First of all, it is located in downtown Charleston. Quick walk to a lot of other sights and the water. Second, the wait staff will walk you through their options and truly show you the best of what dining in Charleston has to offer. They are great at pairing drinks to your food selections and truly making your experience the best. Third, you will thank yourself by experiencing some of the best food in Charleston. There is no better place. More...
Went to Eli's Table for brunch. Service was amazing and the food was even better. All the dishes my party ordered were creative perfection. Sweet potato pancakes were like having dessert at the end of a great meal. More...
A great find on our walk through downtown Charleston. My husband and I found this gem right around lunchtime on our weekend outing. The menu was interesting so we ventured in. It was a great decision. We were were seated promptly after a choice of indoor or heated outdoor seating. The patio was charming and warm. Our server was amazing! He was helpful, quick and had great suggestions. Best part was that because of our timing both lunch and breakfast menus we're being offered. It doubled the possibilities and is great for someone who loves breakfast but is married to someone who doesn't. My coffee and our appetizer arrive in amazing time. It was one of our better fried green tomato experiences, but pimento cheese improves just about everything. While we waited for our entrees to arrive we watched the chubby little birds hunt for food amount the empty tables. It was relaxing and reminded us of our time in New Orleans. Our entrees we're good. Also arrived very fast. Price was what about you would expect for a downtown restaurant. A fun and casual dining experience that offer heathier options and plenty of choices. I think we will be back for the excellent service and fried green tomatoes before too long. More...
Great fried green tomatoes. Very good brunch options. Laid back atmosphere
Attentive service, and great food. Abbot spends for breakfast, but worth it
Excellent dining in historic area. On a recent visit to Charleston for a wedding, we had both brunch and dinner there and were thrilled with both. The food choices and quality were excellent, as well as the service and decor. More...
Wonderful.... order the scrimp & grits.
Great location, service was good, short line for a Sunday, food was good but nothing different than a normal place. Would recommend
Amazing meal.. Everyone in group had clean plates! Back patio was a great atmosphere
As simple as a grilled cheese and a cup of soup. Outstanding.
The service was good. Home fries and wild mushroom omelette were delicious. My girlfriend had the avocado sandwich and black tea, and she enjoyed it. Only downside was the beignets weren't as light or fluffy as they should've been. More...
Ok overall, but only 2 pieces if bacon with basic $11 meal - really?Even Dennys gives you 3.
The food MORE than makes up for any slow service we had! We got to Eli's on a Friday morning, our first day on vacation, and sat on the back patio. Our server was wonderful but definitely over his head busy with tables - ran through his specials and our orders super fast, had to be asked a couple times for cream and water, etc. I definitely don't think he could pick us out of a line up! He seemed like a nice guy, all pleasantries, just overwhelmed. Honestly though, that is not at all what I'm going to remember - I cannot get that breakfast out of my head! Haha we tried the sweet potato pancakes, the lowcountry benedict, the salmon and dill omelet and the peach bellini. They were all absolutely incredible. If you are looking for a great meal in Charleston, don't look any further. I can't wait to get back! More...
Anniversary dinner.Service was very attentive and friendly. Very dice decor but we ate outside on the patio. We had the salmon leaf and the swordfish catch of the day. Both were excellent and the risotto was the star of the catch of the day. Key lime pie was super and the crem brule was also goo. Very worthwhile but pricey More...
One of my favorite spots for brunch. Go early to avoid the crowd. Good deal on mimosas and sit out back if weather is nice- love their fun twists on Eggs Benedict.
Fantastic breakfast great friendly people.
A super way yo start your morning!
We sat at the bar for lunchThe bartender was very hospitable and friendly. Food was excellent along with a nice glass of Chardonnay
Arrived at 10:30AM expecting it to be very busy but it was not. The service was excellent and the food was great. By 11 the place was filled and there was a line to be seated. We sat indoors but the outdoor seating section looked very cozy. More...

Brunch is amazingly good. Go for the Blood Mary with bacon - you're not gonna regret it.
Loved it ! Great people and food
Awesome! Shrimp n grits were amazing and made my top 2 favorite breakfasts ive ever had!
Scallops are amazing!
Had lunch. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere
Cool place! I will recommend it!
The food was amazing, but had a bad experience with the staff. We wanted mimosas, but didn't want the $11.00 one on the brunch menu. The waiter told us there was an option of plain mimosas for only $6.00 so we ordered that. When we got our bill, they charged us for the 11$ mimosas. Ours didn't come with berries or anything that the menu says, all bc of the waiter giving us an option that apparently the owner didn't approve. When we asked about it, the owner didn't help us at all and we paid in full More...
Very nice place
Food great, the "courtyard" backs on to a carpark... not quite what I hoped for.
I really can’t say enough how incredible this place is. From the time you walk in the door you’re valued as a customer and treated with the utmost attention and respect. I had my rehearsal dinner here. If youve ever tried to do such a thing in Charleston, then you know most places downtown have about a $2,000 minimum required spend for a “special event” or even large parties that appear to be for special events. These also come with limited menus and can feel quite stuffy. I was desperately searching for a space that had the location I wanted without the cost I didn’t (especially since I didn’t want to ask my guests to pay). I stumbled upon Eli’s Table and was hesitant to even tell them my party of 17 was a wedding related event. But they were so kind and accommodating! They sat us outside to hear the live music and we’re so incredibly sweet! From a complimentary champagne toast to helping me rearrange tables because I wanted to be even closer to my group...they never once seemed annoyed or inconvenienced. We even mentioned it was our youngest guest’s (our flower girl) birthday and they brought her a table side creme Brûlée. And the food? YUM!!!!! So good!!!!Case and point: be it for an intimate date or a huge party, if you’re considering Eli’s, stop reading this and reserve your table now. More...
Love the outdoor seating. Poached eggs and crab cakes are awesome!
One of the best meals we had in Charleston and our server Tina was an absolute pleasure. She was the definition of southern charm writing out recommendations to sites we should see.
This place is amazing. The hard part is having to choose!
Great food and service

We were a group of 12 they sat us together, big enough place. Bloody Mary and mojitos are awesome. For this large group service was a bit slow. The staff was great. Good food.
Awesome service! Pet friendly and accommodations were awesome by all! Shout out to Ashley M who was amazing and take her advice on the desserts. All the way from Jersey to sc, and made us feel at home. More...
