Chris is a highly professional and extremely skilled practitioner.  As the son of two physicians, and with 20 years experience as a fitness professional (rowing coach), it is without hesitation that I will recommend Chris to any future athlete requiring his services.  Not only did I physically feel better after each visit, the education he provided a pathway to continued improvement.  I continue to gain mobility and strength to this day... Ecstatic to have him as a nearby resource! More...

Dr. Chris is great! I really appreciate that massage, chiropracty, and physical therapy are all integrated. His goal is to get you to the point that you can maintain and improve your body without visits. He is easy to interact with and very thoughtful towards his clients. Dr.Young has helped me not only improve physically but he has also taught me about my body. I think it is so important to be able to know why your body is doing what it is doing and how to help prevent further injury. It is very hare to find a doctor that truly cares about the patient and their history. I will continue to recommend Dr. Young to any and all looking for a knowledgable, caring and talented Doc! Dr Young gave me some very good thorough neck work. I'm glad to find such a well rounded chiropractor who can do some massage and relax my muscles before adjusting me. He can also advise on stretches and posture which is very helpful for creating a shift in what's going on. Update: Chris's work has healed up a long term body pain issue that I didn't think could be helped. I went to see a fellow massage therapist and she didn't have a good understanding of the issue and re-injured me. I went to Chris and he sorted it out! I'm going to keep going to him so that it stays well! More...

I've been seeing Dr. Young for an upcoming marathon and he has been incredibly helpful. I've noticed drastic improvements in my overall performance and joint/muscle comfort. He takes the time to show you preventative measures and is very thorough in his assessment of your needs. I would highly recommend him for sports related health, but also general wellness. More...

It is so difficult to find someone who practices ART (pretty much a requirement for me), and Chris does a great job.  He's a caring provider, and spends much longer working with his patients than most chiropractors.  I've visited other chiropractors in the neighborhood, and they are the "rack-em and crack-em" kind.  In and out in 10 minutes.  Chris isn't like that.  You'll get one-on-one attention and great care with appointments long enough to make a dent in your problem. I'm currently seeing Chris for a shoulder issue that I've had for years and recently aggravated. He's great about sharing information and talking about what exactly he's doing. Also, he gives exercises that can help treat the issue on days when I don't have an appointment. Having seen a few sports chiropractors on my life, Chris is on the top of my list for a positive experience! More...

Chris is extremely knowledgable; I had chronic rib pain for a few years from a period of over/misuse. While initially other chiropractors were able to offer me help managing pain, Chris was able to identify a root cause in my biomechanics while also treating the source of the pain. Chris armed me with tools that have helped me continue to improve long after completing regular physical therapy sessions; I can't thank him enough for simply making it easier to fall asleep at night without stabbing rib pain keeping me awake so I recommend him to all of my friends dealing with similar sports-related injuries. I'd like to thank my therapist for helping me with a hip problem. I was training for a half ironman when this hip problem started to bothering me 5 weeks before my race. After 3 sessions I started to feel better and eventually I was able to run my half ironman last week at Ausin TX with no pain at all. I really recommend this place.

Thank you guys!

He is very knowledgeable about any problem I had and knows how to fix it. My pain has gone down a tremendous amount since I first saw him and I have never felt better. I live out of the way from Element Sports Performance but I will not go see anyone else besides Dr. Young. He is very nice and truly cares about his patients. I am so fortunate to live near Element, where I'm a regular patient of Dr. Young's. He is thorough, attentive, highly professional and a master of the Active Release Technique (ART). I have found this an incredibly effective way to address injuries. In just one ART session, I experienced a huge relief from months-long shoulder and neck pain. I especially like this technique because I get participate actively, moving limbs and neck as directed while Dr. Young works his magic. And by the way, Dr. Young isn't just a great problem-solver and healer. He's also a really pleasant person to work with: positive, encouraging, respectful and a in possession of a great sense of humor. Truly a gem. More...

Bottom Line: I would be a regular patron of Dr. Young if I actually lived in Seattle, and I am now willing do drive hours out of my way just to visit an active release techniques (A. R.T.) provider. In one session, he succeeded where several over-priced masseuses failed.Session: He conducted a thorough initial assessment, asked a lot of questions, and presented the options of treatment for the session, which were either to just treat the pain or to show me strengthening and pain management techniques to do on my own. I chose the latter, and he applied both physical therapy and chiropractic techniques. He introduced me to A.R.T. and taught me some practical exercises that require only a wall, a strap, or a cricket ball. Throughout the session, he was pleasantly personable and conversational. Results: He warned me about soreness from the treatment, but I had none directly related to it. Instead, I went for a 5-mile run the very next morning and was glad to feel just plain old sore calf muscles. For the first time in years, I felt only fatigue from running instead of the sensation that something was going to tear. I have regained most of my range of motion, which I will maintain with my usual regiment and follow-up treatments. I will update this review in a few weeks or months, once I've completely implemented the techniques he taught me.Price: The price included a separate initial assessment (mine was the basic) and the treatment session. He accepts insurance but not Tricare, so I did have to pay out of pocket. In spite of that, I consider the pricing to be reasonable for a chiropractor, and the actual treatment session cost slightly more than a 1-hour massage session. Given the choice, I'll be spending my money on sports chiropractors instead of masseuses from now on.Personal Backstory: Over the years, I had dislocated a knee, sprained both ankles, fell six feet onto my hips, developed plantar fasciitis, and torn a calf muscle. While none of the injuries lead to permanent damage, I have to commit regular time to alleviate stiffness and strengthen minor muscles. Recently, I had fallen out of the routine provided by my previous therapist and chiropractor. Additionally, I slept on a mattress that was the quality of a stiff cot during this last year. So, I randomly walked into this office on the first day of my vacation desperate to alleviate something in order to make it through walking around for the next four days. He had only one slot open within the hour, because he was booked through the weekend. It was well worth the short wait, because pain has not been a concern for this vacation. More...
