This is a great approach to health, amazing support with the right amount of push. Any effort is praised, modifications to the exercises are accepted and phenomenal leadership. I have spent my life looking for a gym that is compassionate yet strong, empathetic yet not condescending and this is it! I dislike exercising and somehow I look forward to these 30 minute workouts! At 68 I thought I was past redemption, apparently I was wrong! More...

Great workout, good fun, good people and you will never be bored going here. They support the localCommunity and no matter what your schedule is there is a 30min class available for you to squeeze it in your day. They offer meal plans, coaches, and lots of consistent inspiration to keep you motivated towards your goals. I recommend trying out their 6 week bootcamp and see if it's a good fit to help kick off a lifestyle of fitness and you can even check out a class for free. They also will help you understand nutrition better and your body's balance of water, muscle and fat. I started with 22 lbs of fat about 2-2.5 months ago and have a little over 10 still to lose. It took a while to get me active after multiple lectures and urging from my healthcare providers. I'm so glad I joined!! ! Everyone is friendly, even when you don't know anyone at first. I like that everyone can work at their own level of ability to make it workable for beginners, and yet challenging for those warriors at the same time. In the first few classes, I couldn't do a sit up (after 10 years of inactivity), however, as I kept showing up, it got easier to do. I don't feel there is any judgement if I need to modify exercises to keep moving; and there is constant encouragement from the coaches, staff, and other classmates to push you to get a good workout. I saw their ad on facebook regarding the 6-week challenge for $97.00, so went to my first class on May 15, 2019 at their Honolulu location.  Thank goodness the sessions are only 30-minutes long as I was dying when it was over.  What did I expect at 80 years of age and having been a couch potato for too many years?  From the very first class, I loved it.  The trainers are so supportive and so encouraging and never criticize when I have to pause to catch my breath. Mel Kawai, Jazz, Kirsten, Carmen, Mel Crouse and Keoloa (the latter two are now in Kailua) are simply the greatest.Don't be afraid to start if you haven't been doing exercise for years.  I am the living example that you can do it.  Although my weight fluctuates because of my erratic (and naughty) eating habits, I am slowly gaining strength and endurance.  My balance is still a big challenge, but I hope to be in fighting shape by the time I'm 90.  Just do it!!!  P.S.  the facilities are clean and they have great equipment.  My first experiences with battle ropes and kettle balls; all good! My gf and I signed up for the 6 week Groupon special at $75 per person. We are gym rats but wanted to give this a try. For 6 weeks, we went 6 days/ week for the 40 minute cardio classes. Although we didn't end up signing for the long term, we were very impressed with the program, instructors and facility. The daily program consists of 40 minute high intensity interval routines that will challenge the majority of people. Keep in mind, we were already in decent condition and  the program really challenged us. They mix the routines up concentrating on upper and lower body on alternating days. They also alternate different instructors as each bring in their own routine. The instructors and staff are super friendly, knowledgable and helpful. They know when to push you and when to let you catch your breath. You can also sign up for a meal plan that's designed to complement your training. We didn't sign up for it because we work out to overeat . Parking can be challenging but we found the trick is to wait for the previous class to leave then parking usually opens up. Keep in mind that the instructor won't let you participate if you're late for class. Bring a towel and water. You will need them. Don't wear shoes because you will train barefooted on the mat. We didn't sign up for the long term because at the end of the day, we like our free weights. Also, we thought the fee was on the high side for what it is. This is a total personal preference because the regulars who go there really love it. We met a few people who dropped 20-30 pounds in 6 weeks. So the program definitely works. Have no time to work out? Live too far from a gym? Too intimidated to step into a gym? Need a more personalized experience? Tired of doing the same thing over and over? If these problems sound familiar than Egan's is the place you should be at! Classes are just 30 minutes long, but you're more than welcome to do more than one class a day! They have three locations located in Kailua, Honolulu, and Aiea. It's so convenient and you can go to any location that works for you. All of the trainers (even members!) are so friendly. I've made some of my best friendships with people who workout here. Perhaps when everyone suffers together (not really suffering...) you form a unique bond. The trainers are constantly helping you making sure your form is on point as well as offering modifications. Every day is a different type of workout that will help you blast calories as well as keep the fat burning go on throughout the day. This place is amazing and I'd highly recommend everyone to try it out! No matter the size, age, etc. I've seen amazing transformations right before my eyes on many members. All you have to do is follow the guidelines and have faith in the program. Did I mention they also have kids classes? What a great opportunity to tire out that little bundle of energy. They have kids bootcamp classes as well as kids jiujitsu. Overall, a truly great place to be. More...

She is the best, well beside Egan himself. It has only been 2 1/2 months now and are looking to see the end result by the time my contract expires. It is not only about the exercise but the food that we eat. The work out is very very effective. As for the price Yes, it might seem expensive but think about it. The coaches care and the members are very helpful and friendly. It's not like going to the gym and it not like one of those infomercial's. it's 30 minutes of hard work and sweat. If you can't do the exercise there's a modification for that. You set your own pace and increase the restistance and pace as you get stronger. Everyone in the class is very encouraging and it not intimidating, well it may seem like it at first because no lie it's intense. However, the coaches are encouraging you to better yourself and reach small goals. There's no yelling because you can't keep up with the person next to you or that you can't do the entire exercise without a break. Everyone goes at their own pace getting it done doing the exercises correctly in correct form. I can't say enough about the veteran members and staff. They make you feel welcomed from day one and they really encourage you. Most of all it makes exercising fun....cause if you don't enjoy it...why torture yourself? Went back onto the mat to catch up and again I got nauseated so had to get off and go outside this time. I really wasn't prepared for this. I thought I could handle when watching what the class earlier did, but man was I wrong. The trainers tell you that although you will hurt afer the first class that the best thing to do is to come to the class the next day. Today was the first time I went to do a bootcamp class at this location. It was pretty convenient. Very close to the Aiea off ramp and also close the on ramp to head back to Honolulu. I have been pressed for time after work having to pick up my daughter from home, then take her over to Kakaako Gym to stretch and then fight the traffic to get to Waiakamilo to head to Hawaii Academy where she practice gymnastics on a daily basis. Traffic is horrids and very stressful to get back to University/Moiliili area to get to the Honolulu bootcamp by at least the 6:00pm class. I don't like starting class all tense and stressed. I do need that little extra time to find my spot and sit and stretch before a class. So getting back to The Aiea location. There was ample parking. Located near the Aiea post office. i went in and I really liked the feel of this facility. There is a shelf to put your slippas, shoes, sandals to the right when you enter the doors. I thought this was cool. The check-in desk is to the left. Very nice and tidy venue I thought. Behind the desk was a small area where you could leave your belongings if needed. As soon I found my spot, I noticed how clean the mats were. On my first day here at this venue, coach Kim was our coach for this lunch session. It was Tabata Tuesday. There were 12 of us present for the class, and we worked hard all the way to the end. I'm going to try to do some lunch sessions here when time permits me to get out there on time. Coming from UH to get to Aiea, can be a challenge, so timing is of the essence. I wish there was a lunch session in town too. With this lunch session offered in Aiea, I feel you that you would have the whole afternoon to do all your errands and dropping off and picking up kids if needed without worry to have to do all of that and get to class on time. I would definitely do more lunch classes here. More...

I have struggled with weight gain for the last 5 years since I've had kids. I found out about this fitness camp through a friend who has lost over 70 pounds by dieting/coming here. She really inspired me to get fit. The workouts here are HIIT (high intensity interval training) but vary from day to day, similiar to T25 or insanity. The only difference is doing it in a group which really helps. I signed up for a 28 day trial. My first day, I was welcomed by Lani who made me feel very welcomed, and comfortable about starting. The front desk workers always greet the members and are super nice and helpful. Over my 28 day trial, I had workouts with Coach Mark, Coach Gabe, Coach Gary and Coach Kim. Some coaches push harder than others, but I must say that it is the other members who really motivate each other to get through the 30-40 minutes of hell workout. LOL. At the time of my trial, the hours we not very ideal for someone like me who works full time 7am-5pm and has young children to tend to around the clock. I would have to go super early at 6am on the weekends or rush right after I'm done with work.-1 star for two reasons.1.)I TRIED to make it to a class and was 2 minutes late because I couldn't find parking, and they wouldn't let me in. The front desk lady (forgot her name) was really nice about it and told me that they already started. I do understand that they already started, but I could have just squeezed in, I was just 2 minutes late. Unfortunately, I had to skip that day because the rest of the times conflicted with my busy schedule. 2.) My consultation/meeting with Heather. I met her on my second week of starting the program. The meeting was short and basically a review of my dieting and plan for joining. I feel like she did give me tips on what to add to my meal plan. I felt a little uncomfortable whenever I asked about costs, as no worker or member wanted to tell me until my consultation. I must say I was a little surprised at the hefty price of a membership, because the duration of each class is less than an hour, and offered at limited times in the day. So what happened was, I asked if I could do a 2 month break because of financial events I had coming up, but basically she told me it was all or nothing, and if I didn't join within that month, I wouldn't get their "special sign up offer." After that meeting I had decided that I could not afford the outrageous membership price, and that I could do these workouts at home. Regardless, thank you Egan's fitcamp for jump starting my fit journey. It's been 3 months and 14 pounds lost (mostly on my own) through tips, workouts and a diet plan I learned from fitcamp! :) If you don't mind the cost and are available at their offered times, I would recommend anyone who is trying to start their fitness journey to start here.
