We have hired Doug multiple times for events at our nonprofit, ACE Charter Schools. His photos are of the highest quality, sharp, strong composition. Doug even helped with video as well, which was also high quality and very sharp. He is a pleasure to work with and is receptive to any edits that we needed. Realized that I posted a review on Thumbtack but not YELP yet! It has almost been two years since our wedding but it is never too late to provide review on a top notch person and staff! He is just great. Very understanding and the staff that he brings along are just top notch and pumped to be there and serve. There's no time to be fooling around when you need a job done and Douglas Fairbairn keeps it classy and professional. My husband and I appreciate the work and price(-: Enjoyed his straight forward and positive attitude, I never had to worry about anything for my wedding. We found Douglas on Thumbtack and he took care of photography, videography and the edits to all. I had one phone conversation with him and that was it! We quickly built rapport and trust in that phone conversation that I booked him. People may want to meet their photographers and such but when you know... you know.. and Douglas is awesome. Cheers! We hired Doug to do a photo booth for our office holiday party and it turned out AMAZING! He arrived early to setup and brought all this own equipment, lighting and props! He also printed out a photo strip for every person in the booth and send a link for access to download full resolution photos which was a huge plus! I truly would recommend his services for any event needing a quality and fun photo booth experience. More...

My husband and I got married on Dec 2015. I would highly recommend Douglas. His videographer was also great! Douglas was always on time. I also appreciate him going to our rehearsal before the wedding. Â Douglas was also very patient on taking pictures of us(couple) down to our huge crowd of visitors. Highly recommend! Â Doug is by far the best photographer, hands down. Â I absolutely LOVE my wedding photos and video!! Â He's professional, fun, attentive and was able to capture the emotion, happiness and feeling of the entire day. Â The candid shots are amazing, the video is awesome! Â I can't stop viewing them, they are so great! Â I even had some crazy photo request, like climbing a 12' tree in my wedding dress to capture a moment in time. Â Doug was fully onboard with every wild idea I had. Â Thanks Doug!! Â If you are debating on who to hire for your wedding, do yourself a favor, stop stressing and hire Doug. Â You'll be super happy! I'm not one to write Yelp reviews (this is my second ever and the first was only because the restaurant gave a discount if you wrote one! ), but Douglas Fairbairn Photography is worth the effort to write one. Doug photographed my small Hindu-Jewish wedding ceremony at my parent's home recently. When I was looking for a photographer Doug mentioned that his clients all say he is easy to work with. I thought, "Yeah, I'm sure they all say that." Well, he sure was right! Despite short notice, Doug rose to the occasion and brought his A-game. He strikes the perfect balance between being laid back and easy going yet professional, punctual (early in fact!), transparent and reliable. Our wedding was an intimate affair (immediate family only) with a culturally diverse mix of guests. Although I hadn't met Doug in person prior to the event, my family members actually thought Doug and I knew each other -- afterwards they said things like "Oh, I thought you were friends, he fit in so easily!" He captured our culturally unique wedding beautifully. He even had some photos posted for us to see within just a few hours of the event and all the photos done/posted within just 3 days!
