Even arriving at 1am they were very personable and helpful, they greeted me with a fresh baked walnut chocolate chip cookie, no joke. Their lobby is beautiful and they have nice clean modern rooms at a decent price. Very little noise pollution from traffic, lot of amenities: pool, wifi, weight room, breakfast, etc. I would go their again. More...

The hotel met all of my standards for the price. The room was nice and clean and all of my interactions with the staff were professional. It is located right next to Downton Modesto so there are quite a few bars and other attractions within easy walking distance. More...

We may be locals, but we still love to have weekend breakfast or anytime dinner here. They give locals a discount for dinner, the food is really good, and we love our favorite server/bartender, Tiffany! Joey is a close second to her. We usually prefer the lounge for dining. More...

I was in Modesto for business and was a guest at Double Tree by Hilton for 2 nights. Checking in was really fast and super easy. You even receive a deliciously warm chocolate chip cookie (it had walnuts in it in case you or a loved one has allergies FYI)! The rooms are tastefully decorated. It wasn't your usual ugly eye sore artwork. Since I had 2 double beds, I had a total of 8 pillows to use. No need to call for extras. I visited in mid-February so I was expecting a heavier blanket than what was provided. I tend to get cold easily so that was probably my one complaint besides parking. I actually turned the heater up to 80 and the room still felt chilly. I wound up robbing the second bed of its blanket. Parking is in a garage across the street. It wasn't always convenient since you need to pay when you leave. It requires you to find the pay station machine FIRST so don't go to your car thinking you can pay at the gate. The hotel does validate but it was unclear if that was free or they charge your room the garage fee. And double check the info you're given because another person I spoke with said he was told they didn't validate. Hmmm... I may be returning in April (again for business) so I'll try to get this clarified and do an update. I stick by my 5 star review though because staff was pleasant, the rooms are roomy with heavenly comfortable beds and the hotel shined everywhere you looked. I tried to find the dust but couldn't. If you're looking for a great place to lay your head, you found it. More...

Before we checked in, I called the front desk because I had what I thought would be an extraordinary request however I spoke with Nita who is a front desk supervisor and not only did she think it was perfectly reasonable she made it happen! Our stay here was quite nice unfortunately I ran into two problems with housekeeping the first being a dirty tub and shower and the second being a lost item. After complaint to the front desk I was told I needed to take it up with Expedia who said I needed to take it up with the property. The Lost hat which I take a selfie on property at 11 p.m. with has never shown up not in my luggage nor according to housekeeping the room. The property is great unfortunately I didn't get the name of the barkeeper who went out of his way to advise me on which Burger to order as well as give me extra whipped cream at closing. Almost all the employees at this property from bellied / Bell boys to front desk to room service we're all polite and all inquired after any needs I may have. This is a busy Hotel however they all want you to enjoy your stay and will do almost anything to help you slow down and enjoy the amenities of the property. The rooms, bedding Etc save for our bathroom we're all clean with no issues. The beds are nice we slept like rocks which is very difficult for me to do away from home. They have this burger with a fried egg that is really really good! More...

Great location within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. Recently remodeled. Rooms are very nice. Only complaint is the WiFi which I am told is being upgraded in January 2018.

I have been in a few hotels in Modesto and by far this is the nicest one i have stayed in yet. The rooms are clean and updated. Beds are comfortable with several styles of pillows to fit your needs. The staff has been very friendly and helpful with plenty of suggestions to help you out with where to go and eat or shop. The one thing that i have to say is a huge negative is the free wifi it totally sucks! You can't use it at all. This is the one thing if I was the hotel I would be working on trying to Change right away. It is slow and constantly kicks you off. More...
