I must say I'm very happy with the outcome of Molly's training. We just moved to Texas and the change didn't sit well with my dog, she started acting out and barking at people for no reason. I contacted Dean and we spoke about my concerns, after the first day of training I could see the results. The basic obedience program gave her the structure she was craving, now we both have the tools to help her adapt into her new environment ans it's working great! Besides her learning new commands, it streghten the bond between us and she is a happier dog. I will keep up with the training and all the great advice I received from Dean, I couldn't be happier! We loved Dean, the owner of Double D Dog Training. Cooper, our 8 week old English Doodle did too! He would get so excited when he saw Dean drive up! We all looked forward to each training session. It was upbeat, positive and so much FUN! We all learned so much! Dean recommended specific toys and treats for Cooper and they were all perfect! Prices are very reasonable, especially since Dean came to our house. It was great to train in our own home environment. Dean is amazingly good. Someone called him the dog whisperer and we agree. He is calm, patient,knowledgeable & our Thumper (12 lb Bichon/Shihtzu mix, 1 1/2 years,& terribly spoiled, also totallyuntrained) loved him. We just got our new puppy “Summer” just over a month ago and today she (and we) graduated puppy training. We are so proud! We haven’t had a puppy in many years and had no idea where to start. Cue Dean, the dog dude! What a blessing! He had her responding to commands nearly immediately. We, on the other hand, took a little more time, but still caught on pretty quickly. 😆. Dean is a true training professional and you can tell he really cares about your pup, and you, getting it right. He answers all questions thoroughly and has great suggestions. After 4 weeks, we have a puppy who understands and responds to a lot of commands and we have the knowledge and the tools to keep her a happy, trained dog. We loved working with Dean from Double D Dog Training! He was very professional, reliable and flexible. I adopted my adorable doggy, Sunny, in January. Being so young he was very active and eager to learn, but I needed help! So, after some searching, I contacted Dean at Double D Dog Training, and he quickly responded. The next week Sunny and I began our basic training. Wow! What fun we have had!!! We cannot recommend Double D Dog Training enough. Why you ask? 1. DOES NOT use a shock collar. 2. Dean, the trainer, comes to your home. 3. Rewards the positive behavior, and helps you, the pup parent, to understand why your pup can be naughty and how to correct that behavior in a very positive way. 4. Very positive reviews. 5. Dean’s just an all around nice guy who genuinely wants your pup to be the best they can be. We are first time puppy 🐶 owners, so Dean walked into an absolutely clueless situation. His method of training is nothing short of amazing; positive reinforcement DOES work! My pup is only 10 weeks old and is almost 100% potty trained and obeys all commands we have learned. He also sleeps in his kennel at night without whining!!! We did practice, as Dean suggested. Dean is hands down the absolute best dog trainer around! We introduced our puppy Charlie into the family, but he was initially having a hard time adjusting to his new life. Dean stepped in and helped Charlie gain his confidence by learning new commands, tricks, and manners. We checked out a couple of different training options when we adopted a 2-year-old adult dog, Buster. He’s a sweet dog, but he can be a handful on a leash. He’s protective of us and easily distracted by squirrels and cats on the sidewalk. (Runners and cyclists, too). We really liked that Dean was able to come to our home and focus just on us and our dog. He explained everything that we would be doing before we started the sessions, and he gave us loads of tips for reinforcing the desired behavior. My wife and I felt extremely discouraged with how our dog was behaving (or not behaving as the case was), even after we had invested the time and energy into other training classes. We knew that we were part of the problem with not providing the consistent training and follow up needed. Having Dean instruct and guide us and show us just how invaluable consistency and follow through are with training was the greatest reward we could have gotten. Dean was great. we worked with him for four sessions and our puppy knows many commands. sit, stay, come, leave it, drop it. she walks on a leash beautifully. Dean helped us with house training also. I would recommend Dean to anyone wanting to work on your dogs behavior. Dean's program is easy to follow and implement. we will be doing the advanced program for sure. We had a rather large dog that was not getting the most basic command of "come". She is one of those dogs that are fearfully afraid of thunder, and brought that fear to vet visits. We are on 5 acres, and if she saw me with a leash, she was gone. My son could always eventually wrangle her, but it was an immense chore. The worst was when she slipped her collar at Herbst. It took three physician's assistants and myself to catch her (she took off to that vacant field across the street). That was the final straw. I somehow found Dean, who came twice a week, and oh-so-slowly, little by little, got her to his van, then got her to put a paw on the opening, then up in the van. I told him at the beginning he'll never do it. I was wrong. Now, when I grab the leash, she runs to the back of my SUV, and waits for me to open the hatch, and then jumps in. Amazing. Dean was patient, kind, and I felt he did the job he came to do in a timely and efficient manner. I cannot recommend him enough. More...

Dean did a great job training my yorkie, Marley! Some of the things he worked on with her were loose leash walking, clicker training when she was barking in the back yard and waiting at her food bowl. We trained with Dean & Double D Dog Training to help us with our 7 month old Blue Heeler Shepherd mix, Benny. Our initial goal was to get Benny just some basic training (sit, stay, down) Dean was so patient and encouraging to help us train Benny in a positive way. By the end of our first four sessions of Obedience Training, Benny could do so much more than we thought! He could sit, stay, lay down, wait, shake, leave it, walked calmly on a leash, AND stopped jumping on us with off. We were so happy with the results from the first four sessions, that we enrolled Benny in another 4 sessions of the Advanced Obedience Training. We rescued our dog from a shelter and he was a runner. He had got out the front door a couple times and took off running through out the neighborhood. After training with Dean, Charkie is doing great! One of our kids accidentally let him out the front door recently and I was able to call him back into the house! My 5 year old husky shepherd mix, Remi, has always been nervous around men and I felt I was losing control of her so my mom gave me Dean's number. We just completed our 4th obedience class this morning and I'm beyond impressed with Remi's progress with both Dean and her training. She struggled the first day with a strange man near her, but she has a new BFF today in Dean. I never thought much about obedience training but the skills Dean gave us has given both Remi and I more confidence and I have a lot more control with her. I 100% would recommend Double D Dog training and I intend to use these new training skills daily with both Remi, and my 11 year old poodle mix who doesn't like rules. My family needed some help with our pitbull puppy. We had trained her basic commands but were in need of help with her socializing, timidness and fighting with our other dog. Dean came to our house to see how she behaves and what we were dealing with. In the four sessions we saw marked improvement and he gave us skills to turn a good dog into a great dog! For the last two years I have been taking our Aussie, named Stitches, to a local groomer, Pooches Day Spa, located at the end of Fair Oaks Parkway in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX. Initially Stitches was reluctant at being dropped off, but as time went by, Stitches attitude has gone from reticent to eager. Seven weeks ago I engaged Dean Duet who works at Pooches Day Spa and who also has a dog training business evenings and weekends, to come out to our house on Sundays and work with Stitches and I on obedience training. What I have concluded participating in the training, is that Dean is the reason Stitches likes going to the groomers. Dogs have an innate sense for gauging the range of people’s emotions like anger, fear, sadness, love, kindness, empathy and warmth. Just like humans, dogs respond to the emotions that they sense in the humans they encounter. Stitches has responded in kind to the positive emotions radiated by Dean. And just as kids learn that Dad’s mean fun and Mom’s mean business, Stitches has quickly learned to want to be cooperative in the training process. It is the empathy and warmth as much as it is the great treats that Dean uses as rewards in the training process that Stitches is responding to.
