We had a 'come to Jesus' moment two years ago when our rescued beagle-basset bit a man while at the vet. We had taken him to several trainers and classes, but he remained fearful to the point of violence. We didn't want to give him up despite his bad behavior, so we tried taking him to a class at Dogz. I'm so glad we did, because the trainer, Sarah, was able to help us and our dog, Patrick! Since the bite episode my husband and I have taken Patrick to several classes at Dogz - tricks, confident canine, and out and about - and the training has worked wonders! Not only are my husband and I now better dog owners, but Patrick is a more confident and normal dog. He is much less reactive, and when he does meltdown, his episodes are thankfully much shorter. I feel like the classes at Dogz strengthened the bond between me and my dog. My dog now takes commands and does tricks like a champ, and I feel confident that he's not going to bite anyone unless he's seriously provoked. Life in our house is better now that Sarah Anderson is in our lives! Watching Patrick evolve from a fearful and aggressive dog to a "good boy" has been amazing, and we have Dogz to thank for that. I couldn’t get to my phone fast enough but while feeding my lovely hank (85 Lbs Pit Mix) my cat stopped to take a drink Hanks water. 2 years ago this would have been a disaster. Hank would have snapped and snarled at the cat who would have run all over the house knocking things over and causing scene. Today hank ate his food and the cat drank Hanks water and they went happily on their way. Dogz has helped us with Hanks nervousness and has taught us how to keep peace in our home. I have a young German Shepherd Pitt that needed structure and a focused regime. These classes through Dogz with Sarah really helped! Milly is not longer bored because I can keep structure in the house and keep her focused on "working." She has progressed so much! More...

We rescued and trained both of our deaf boxers through Sarah and she has done an amazing job! I would highly recommend anyone to go see Sarah for any dog training needed, or even if you are looking to adopt an amazing dog into your furever home.

I had never used a trainer when I got Allie but I wanted to train her so she'd be well behaved; I really wanted someone that was familiar with the Boxer breed. Well, you can't get any better than a trainer who also runs the Boxer rescue. Allie will be 6 in a few weeks and has taken classes with Sarah since she was about 4 or 5 months old. We have done puppy class, two tricks classes, Canine Good Citizen and Allie just graduated from Therapy Dog class; we are looking to take her rattlesnake avoidance course very soon and eventually doing an agility class. Thanks to working with her over the years Allie even booked a TV commercial!! There is no other trainer I would use...Sarah is the best at reading dog AND owner and has gone above and beyond with us. I have never used a dog trainer before and to be honest I was a little weary of them before meeting Sarah. But after noticing my pup Porter having issues with other dogs while on leash I decided it was time to look into working with a trainer. While Porters issues are a work in progress, after just a few classess I noticed a big difference in Porters confidence levels and saw how much he liked learning new tricks, he's super smart! Even though Porter and I were nervous for our first few classes, Sarah and Jerod made us feel comfortable and made learning a fun, positive experience for both of us! Both of my rescued dogs have had training with Sarah. She uses positive training methods (no shock collars here!) and teaches owners to use these techniques properly. And it is we who are being trained . Whether the dog is fearful, reactive, boisterous, or just has no manners (or clue) Sarah can identify what will work for his or her unique needs. You will have homework with your dog, and that consistent practice is key. Sarah teaches a variety of classes from basic manners to tricks to Canine Good Citizen certification. When I first brought Inge home, I was already committed to training her because I am really uncomfortable around dogs with no manners. So it was a matter of finding a trainer. Dogz Inc. was recommended to me for boarding, and there I discovered that Sarah was a professional trainer. So we took the puppy class and I was hooked. It is obvious that Sarah adores dogs, and can assess what training style each dog needs. She works with both dogs and owners to teach the dogs what they need to know. Then when I adopted Zelig, he attended puppy class too, and I have taken several other classes with Sarah. My dogs adore Sarah and it's obvious that they love her classes. Do not board your pet here! They are reckless. They are completely irresponsible. They willingly and purposefully disregarded a vet-ordered diet, despite a 30-minute phone call with Sarah, the owner, explaining why our dog is on said diet. Now, our dog has to be monitored by the vet. Also, they are verbally abusive to the dogs in the kennel. This was on full display during one of the training classes. Maybe others have had decent experiences, but do you really want your dog to be the one that has a similar experience to ours? Avoid, avoid, avoid. More...

I have been taking my dog (now dogs) to Dogz inc for a few years now and couldnt be happier. They staff treats us like family, they even know my dogs birthdays! We researched doggie day care facilities in reno and chose dogz inc because of the large open space which includes an outdoor area (after all of that potty training do you really want your dog doing their business indoors or on astro turf?) There are no individual suites with tv's or ipads for your dogs but Im sure your dog will survive w/o those for a day.  the staff is wonderful and you can tell that all truly love and bond with all of the dogs. I highly recommend Dogz inc to anyone looking for the perfect place for their furry companion. More...

Dogz Inc Rocks!The best of both worlds - Daycare/Boarding and Great Training. I trust them with my two Bernese Mountain Dogs and can not say enough good things about the facility, staff and other dogs. The facility is great for puppy's trying to get some socialization and big dogs looking for friends. Dogz Inc was a big reason my oldest dog has her K-9 Good Citizen Certificate. Thanks Sarah!
