We were having issues with our 3 year old female rescue dog. Her behaviour was very unpredictable and she was becoming increasingly protective. We were recommended to contact Dog Training 101 for help in correcting her behaviour. Aline came to our house that weekend and our lives were about to change. She taught us many things in that first session and immediately put out minds at ease that our dogs behaviour could be changed. Aline explained dogs are happiest at the bottom or the top of the pack, but not in the middle. The biggest problem was our dog had lost knowing where she sat in the pack order. Over the course of the next few weeks Aline continued to meet with us and through her easy to follow instruction we learnt how to train our dog. Mat training and learning to walk on a halter were ways we were shown to demonstrate control. Walking through crowds and being pat by strangers, something I had not felt comfortable with when her behaviour was unpredictable. Being a rescue dog you never know what issues the dog is carrying in their memory bank. With Alines experience and expertise we have been able to turn our girl back into the loveable, sweet dog she truly is. Thank you Aline. I can't recommend your services highly enough. We had Nicole come out to visit our Kelpie Lexi. We had two things we wanted to work on. Mat training to help Lexi control her excitement when people visit and walking (well being towed by her). Nicole was amazing within the hour we had Lexi on the mat making some progress with learning her new boundaries and self settling. Coupled with Lexi walking at heal before Nicole even left. Today for the first time since we go our girl we could walk her at heal without being towed. Our girls 7 and 5 were even able to control her and command her. A complete opposite experience. I am a first time owner of a Staffy cross Lab, I contacted Dog Training 101 and booked my puppy into puppy school. I can not highly recommend them enough. Especially Kathy who taught both my dog & myself confidence & patience and calming. She is just a different dog. Kathy’s honesty and calming effect has made this experience for our family so amazing and I am confident to take my dog anywhere with the skills she has taught us both. Thank you Aline for being a fountain of knowledge for me and my cattle dog pup, Albert. I was so worried that he would go down the path that many cattle dogs go down, but Aline has taught me to have confidence in myself and in Albert. I’ve learned a lot about his behaviour and how to redirect it and Albert has responded in leaps and bounds. I’ve also learned to have faith in my dog! We have spent the past 8 weeks or so working with Aline here in Cairns and will continue to do so. We currently have a stubborn adolescent male dog who has been used to getting his own way in life. .. until NOW. He’s met his match in Aline and she has slowly built up my confidence when working with him and is educating our entire family. She has an extensive wealth of knowledge when it comes to dog behaviour, she has an incredibly love for dogs and for training their humans. I wasn’t even confident I could find the right trainer for our boy but after meeting Aline I knew we’d found the right person to help and teach us all. My dog attended the ‘Reactive Dog Training’ classes with Aline. She became aggressive towards other dogs after our son was born and another dog jumped onto his pram, she reacted in a protective manner and attacked the other dog and she just lost trust in other dogs from then on. Aline showed us several techniques to practice and even was able to provide one on one classes until she was ready to attend a class. Aline helped me to teach my dog how to relax and let me do the protecting and finally my dog is able to attend our local dog park again!!! She still requires some ongoing training as it all takes time but the results have been more than I could have hoped for and she can finally relax and play again. Thank you Aline More...

I met with a couple different trainers before finding Judy and I’m so happy I waited. Judy is knowledgeable in a way that makes training a fun experience for both me and my dog, Winnie. Rather than emphasizing on everything that is wrong with a dog’s behavior, she started class with a statement about how no dogs fail their classes. We would 100% recommend Training 101. Graham was our trainer. He customised a training plain that was suitable for Ferdinand who was VERY dog reactive. He is still slightly dog reactive (nothing at all like he was) but thanks to Graham we can now confidently take our boy out in public, and by doing this he has improved the quality of life that our boy now has. Home life has changed dramatically as well, Ferdinand is much calmer. We are very grateful for Graham’s input and will continue with his training now that we have the knowledge and skills to do so. Graham has been great with Paddy. (Trained whilst Paddy was 4 & 5 mths old.) And more importantly he trained us! We needed to be trained more than the dog! ! He was able to relate the training to things we could understand. Paddy now walks on the lead, waits until we tell him to eat, sits, can be around hairdryers & vacuums! Our almost 5 month old puppy, Molly has just completed Level 1 Obedience with trainer, Rachael who was brilliant! She was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of our questions. Rachael was a calming influence on Molly and taught us how to interact with her and get her to follow commands. Aline is a Dog Whisperer indeed!! She carries a few cuts and bruises from my ‘monster dog’ from a one on one but he had full respect and licked those scars he made. .. a week later!!! Amazing!! My rescue dog would NOT be handled by any other trainer! Aline was the last resort!!! And Loki is now 80% more manageable than when I picked him up as a 3 month old. Took just 2 sessions with Aline. All the near biting and scratching scared me, but not Aline!!! A very Strong and Experienced dog trainer!!! Rest are amateurs in Cairns compared to Aline! No treats, no physicality involved!!!
