My girlfriend and I adopted a dog that turned out to be more than we were equipped to handle (so we thought). She was aggressive towards strangers, pulling like a train on leash, and barking constantly in our apartment. Just one lesson with Brett, the business owner, gave us confidence that we could apply his method and handle our dog. After just six weeks we can confidently give our dog commands in public AND SHE ACTUALLY LISTENS! Of course there are hiccups, but we are now well equipped to handle them as they come.If you're struggling with an aggressive dog, stop googling training techniques and call Dog-eze. No amount of internet research will compare to time in-person with an expert like Brett. I can't personally speak for the other trainers, but they've been trained by Brett so I wouldn't question the quality. These are good people who will actually solve your problems. To start off with, our situation WAS: We have 2 very stubborn and rambunctious pups that WERE very unwilling to listen or submit to anything we attempted to get them to do. On top of that, the one thing we really wanted to do with our dogs was to take them on a simple walk. Due to the excessive pulling and disregard for any command we gave them, we gave up on walking them on. We were afraid that if another animal or person were to come into our field of view, the dogs would try to take off (and they did!). All that being said and were more of a chore to walk than a enjoyment. Then comes in Brett, and let me start by saying that Brett is second to none. Brett sets the bar very high for himself and the clients/dogs he serves. There really is 2 sides to the service that my girlfriend and I were privileged to receive from Brett. You have the obvious dog training aspect, but then there is something much more significant Brett helped us with, and that was the way in which we conducted ourselves in front of our 2 dogs. Brett was very observant of the behaviors of our dogs, and where they picked them up from. We came to the realization with Brett’s assistance, that we were exhibiting some behaviors in front of our dogs that was causing them to not see us at the alpha in the relationship. It took him 1 session to dial in on some of our issues with the way we conducted ourselves in front of our dogs. Then from there by correcting our own behaviors, it was short work to get the dogs to work WITH us and not against us.I cannot say that my girlfriend and I are the best about doing the homework (we are getting better), but that being said, the training is so effective that we got significant results just by the few times we did work them on our own. I can proudly say now that either one of us has no issue walking 1 or both dogs at the same time, both dogs listen to us 110% better, and overall both the dog’s demeanor and composure has vastly improved. All these things combined, reduced our stress and increased our happiness in our home with our beloved dogs. I cannot thank Brett enough for the care, professionalism, and compassion he showed us at every appointment. We had an excellent experience with Dog-Eze Training Specialists and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is looking for ACTUAL results with training their dogs. Brett and his team are very knowledgeable. We saw results after the first lesson with our pups. Both our dogs are on the older side (8 and up) but did a great job learning the commands and how to behave on a leash. We also learned a lot through the process and look forward to walks to our dogs again! Their behavior has completely changed. We are beyond impressed with the results. When my neighbors roll down their windows to comment that they wish their dogs could behave like that, well that's one of those proud puppy parent moments. And we owe it all to Brett and Dog-Eze training specialists. He made such a difference just in the first day he came to evaluate our two sibling rescue pups. We were feeling a bit overwhelmed and that these pups had taken over our lives. After the 6 weeks basic training, we are definitely in control and have two awesome dogs on our hands. Brett was fantastic; we have a six year old havanese shih tzu mix who was unable to control his excitement when he saw other dogs. Brett came over weekly for 6 weeks and by the end it was like having a completely new dog. One big factor is that this was not disciplinary based training, it was rewarding through positive feedback (very few treats involved) and my dog acts proud of himself whenever he follows a command. After moving to FL from OH our pup Lucy was in dire need of some training and basic obedience. I called Dog-Eze training specialists because I saw fantastic reviews on yelp, google etc. From the first phone call to the last session, they were so kind, generous, and professional. Not only did we get a well trained pup, we ourselves benefited (probably more so) than the dog. At first they set up an evaluation, and Brett is SO good and in tune with dogs, he can tell you things about them you never would have known. From the evaluation you can do basic obedience, advanced obedience, and protection training. We opted to do basic/Advanced and one day hope to do the protection training. It is worth every penny! I hired Dog-Eze Training Specialists for help with my rescue Dog Kannon. Kannon suffered from severe fear aggression due to prior abuse and it was greatly impacting his life and mine. Brett P. showed up for our first appointment and within 5 minutes he gained Kannon's trust and got right to work on the issues he was facing. The difference in Kannon after only a few lessons was unbelievable. The vet even remarked about it at his next visit. He couldn't believe how far he'd come in such a short time. Brett is by far the best dog trainer I have ever encountered. I would hire Dog-Eze again in a heartbeat and strongly recommend them to anyone who needs an honest, hardworking, extremely knowledgeable trainer for their dog. We were about to find a new home for our chihuahua mix Papi. We got him from a rescue a couple years ago, and did a little self training. Over the last year he had slowly become aggressive and dominant to the point I was scared for our 13yr old and our soon to arrive newborn. A friend recommended Dog-Eze, and within the very first session we started seeing a huge difference. Bret taught us where his behavior was coming from and how to correct it, and not only trained the dog but taught our family how to keep him trained. Since Papi is our daughters dog, she did most of the work with Bret and still does the training exercises multiple times a week to keep up the good work. Our previously aggressive and growly dog is now sweet and follows our family commands. When I have baby sit for friends with young kids I don't worry anymore about letting the dog around them, he has even let an 18 month old hug and pull and pet him with no aggression at all! My dog Kannon so was terrified of the vet that we would become aggressive and have to be sedated almost every visit. After six weeks of Training with Dog-Eze the difference in his behavior was incredible.
