I'm a big fan of Divine Barrel. I am picky when it comes to beer and brewery atmosphere, and Divine checks off both boxes. They have a lot of space inside (barely any outside, though) and it's a beautiful, clean space. They always have maaaany beer options, including dark beer, which is my preference. They are constantly rolling out new and different flavors and styles, and they collaborate with MANY local businesses to create some of their beers! Pretty affordable too. More...

Walked up from NoDa with a friend as there are a few good drinking establishments and breweries in the area including Divine Barrel Brewing. I'm into the hoppier beers and they had several IPA and Pale Ales which I liked. Good crowd the night I was there and impressed with their selection of beers as well as the catchy names of them! Interior design is nice and open. Great addition to NoDa area, parking BTW was OK, small lots in front that fills up quickly but a larger free lot across the road across from Bold Missy saved us from driving into NoDa downtown. One observation was an odd smell the evening we were there, while I can't put my finger on it I wouldn't call it a pleasant one, want to go back and try another great beer and inhale the surrounding again soon!! Divine barrel is really solid. Good atmosphere. Pretty dark and cozy at night. Fantastic beer selection. Honestly with all the breweries hitting the streets now days I think divine barrel has one of the better selections. They also have an outdoor seating area. Bar inside is big and they are properly staffed. Overall a cool brewery and a good addition to the scene. More...

Divine Barrel is a great edition to the NODA beer scene, bringing a fun southern chic vibe that one might be use seeing in a city like Nashville! I personally love their gold medal winning the Big Lubelski, and I love how they have a wide variety of styles and don't over rely on an array of IPAs. This brewery is right across the street from Bold Missy, so stop by both when brewery hopping in NODA More...

This is it! ..Divine has a great outdoor patio area for friends and fur friends also, the inside is huge with tons of tables and table games and even has a stage for life music. The staff is always very welcoming and fast with service, this is one of those places you just feel like home. ..With food trucks usually parked and they also sometimes hold a pop up vinyl shop along with other things, to visit and enjoy the beer! I know, I know - it took me forever to get here. When you have friends that work at breweries and they like to come drink here that says a lot. So the most obvious thing is the lack of parking - we got lucky and found a spot on the Sherwin Williams side. Phew!Outside, you're thinking "There's a brewery in there?". Man, oh, man does it fool you - it's huge inside. Like two story vaulted ceiling tap room size!Alexis was our beer tour guide while we were there and took good care of us. No official flights here but they sell 5 oz pours, so you can technically build your own flight.Mine: Marshall Berry (Blueberry Kolsch) - WFAE fundraising collab and very refreshing Home Before Daylight - a nice representation of a NE IPA Under Peche-er - Very tasty and different Peach Gose with Pink Himalayan Salt The Feelin' I Forgot - West Coast IPA - Clean, fruity, crushable - my fave of the dayI got a little taste of Imaginary Rulebook Hazy DIPA which was pretty killer too.No lack of indoor seating here - a little indoor flea market set up and some covered patio space outside. Will definitely be back! Got a four pack of Cadillac Rainbows to go! Finger crossed that it's a good one!! More...

I visited Divine Barrel late on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy but not overly crowded. The front door is on the side of the small parking lot (FYI) by the outside table area that could accommodate a lot of people. The inside has a warm industrial vibe which I liked. Huge bar, lots of big tables for groups, a few couches, and some games like cornhole and smaller versions of tiki toss. They had about 9 beers on tap to try and 10 or so wines offered also. Dogs are allowed inside and they sell dog treats. No kitchen, but a food truck pulled up at about 6:00 and started setting up. I liked that they offer 5 oz pours for tasting, priced from $2 - $3.50. The Brettrospective saison started oaky and then ended very tart and on the verge of a sour to me. I really enjoyed the Marshall Berry kolsh for its lightness and blueberry finish. If you're into juicy IPAs then try The Feelin' I Forgot, it was citrus-y and very drinkable. The Big Lubelski was interesting. It was very light and smoky, which made me feel a bit like I was drinking a hotdog. I think the smoky flavor would do much better in a red or darker beer. The staff was nice and super attentive and the bathrooms were clean and inviting. I would love to visit again and try some wines next time! More...

I came here on a Wednesday evening for a skillpop class to learn macrame. The space is really nice! It's a little off the beaten path but there is adequate parking. They have both beer and wine. I think you can bring your own food-- there was a group having a birthday party and they had pizza. There is a private room to the side (where they barrel age the beer) that can be used for private functions. More...

After leaving a dive bar with a much younger vibe, Divine Barrel Brewing welcomed us and was a great place for four 30somethings who want to chill and have a beer. Divine Barrel doesn't offer flights, but they do offer small pours, which is what we got. The workers were incredibly nice, and made several recommendations. The peach beer was delicious, and my husband, who doesn't usually like IPAs, really liked theirs. The brewery has comfy couches for chilling and a bulletin board that advertised social events like yoga classes and even a running club.Divine Barrel is just a short walk from the busier area of NODA and just off the highway, so it's a convenient stop for a good brew in Charlotte. They also have a few other local breweries beers on tap. This night I had one of Devine Barrel's beers that happened to be aged in a wine barrel( I thought this was interesting, that's why I chose it).The decor literally reminds me of the show Fixer Upper, more specifically Johanna Gaines style, but 'younger/no kids' ( no shade )...Moving On!Check out their social media or website for events like trivia, or yoga. With new breweries opening up in Charlotte these days it is hard to find one that outdoes another. However, Divine Barrel falls into the category of one of the best breweries open in 2018, in my mind. Divine has a beautiful space with an large patio outdoors. Service is outstanding and their draft selection is some of my favorite. They have rotating Food Trucks, for those of us who enjoy a nice snack, so that is a bonus for Divine. Although parking can be limited there is a large lot across the street and with a few other spots in the area, park, make a stop a here, and before you know you will be hooked.Looking forward to my next visit! Divine Barrel is fantastic & this is coming from someone who doesn't drink beer! Gavin & Ben are two of the most amazing human beings & I am so happy to see this brewery doing so well. They are so community minded, too! Have you seen all the food trucks that stop in, the yoga events, running events & they adopted a street to clean up! Ben turned me on to a gouza (spelling?). Wow, OK, so I guess I can say now that I drink beer. The quirky names, the different beer varieties ... Can we talk about how it looks inside? GORGEOUS. Look up! The lights are so neat. Short: Great space/location; variety of styles, all dialed in.
Longer: Beautiful space in a great location a stone’s throw from the heart of NoDa.
Divine Barrel may be brand new, but based on tonight’s preview, they’re not only going to produce a nice variety, they’re also going to produce them well. Saisons, a porter, a grisette, and the requisite IPA&Double IPA were on all on tap, along with the surprise standout: the Grätzer. This is a style I haven’t seen much of, but it’s incredibly flavorful—don’t let the “smoked” malt deter you, it’s well-balanced and doesn’t overpower the beer. Can’t wait to try their barreled offerings once everything is really up and running.

Come here for quality beer, pretty simple. All three of the owners are highly knowledgeable about their craft and they run the brewery for the sole purpose of putting out finely tuned craft brews, it's beer over all else and that's what I like about this place. The taproom is spacious and nice and generally it's nice to have an alternative to being crammed in with the frat bros you get at some of the other places. More...

Our new favorite spot in town! We recently moved to Charlotte, NC, and as newbies, we're checking out our new neighborhood, NoDa. We came by DBB randomly when we checked out Bold Missy (which we had driven past with our moving truck on the day we moved here), and gave it a shot a few days later. Apart from the fact that I can walk there in five minutes, Divine Barrel is spacious, gorgeous, and the staff and owners are super nice and immediately adopted us newbies into their fold. We joined their run club (Thursdays at 6:30pm, come hang with us!), and they have great beers that satisfy all different taste buds. And if you don't like beers, they have a Red Clay cider and various wines on tap! Delicious! They have rotating food trucks (not every day, so check out their Facebook page or Instagram), and you can bring your own food or order from DeeJai Noodle bar (which is right across the parking lot). They also have cold brew on tap, if you want to hang during the day and don't feel like beer (yet), and if you're bored, they have table games that are fun to play. Check out their table-sized cornhole game! This is our favorite place to hang out and have some beers! You should check it out if you haven't done so yet! More...

It has room for everyone to stretch out and be comfortable. It is nicely designed with a elegant beer hall feel. I love how you could see the barrels that are being used to age the beer in the next room. They have a good selection of beer to choose from. They had a very wide array of choices from a blueberry gose to a west coast IPA and beyond. Both my wife and I found our beers to be amazing and really enjoyed our time there.
