This was my first visit to a salon other than ones like Supercuts. Right away, staff greeted me and offered me a drink, made sure I was comfortable, and gave me very professional vibes. They gave me exactly what I was looking for and even suggested affordable hair care products, treatments, and offered menus for the nearby cafes (my appointment took 4 hours through lunch!). Best haircut in 10 years. I wear a bob, but a lot of people just trim the ends. Tomasz cut it properly with layers that add volume but look smooth from the top. Strong recommendation.

I would recommend this salon highly. Everyone is very professional and attentive to your hair needs and it’s a fun great atmosphere. My stylist is Aliza and she is just outstanding. I have had my hair down in LA, New York, Nashville , Atlanta , DC, Miami and Seattle by some great stylists and Aliza is right up there with the very very best. I highly recommend her for all services. She works with an assistant and they are an amazing team for cut, color and extensions.Never rushed! Furthermore , the front desk receptionists work with you to connect you with the best stylists when you first call the place. They ask several questions regarding your hair needs putting you at ease. I have been going to Detour for at least 10 years...never before have I stuck with one hairdresser. Kirk is my stylist and he listens, he's creative according to my hair type, and my own ability to care for any given style. Nice place. I have been here multiple times; a couple of times were for a haircut and one time was to get my hair bleached. They did a great job every time. My only complaint is that it is expensive. I understand that this is a luxury salon but I still think it’s overpriced. This does depend on your stylist however. I do like that they offer you a drink while you’re there.
