I am so happy that Mike, now my husband is very pleased with how the wedding reception venue was set up. It looks as if we were transported to fairyland. Our ideas and their suggestions created something as memorable as this. A very great job indeed. We are very satisfied with everything they did! More...

My husband and I had our wedding and reception here in June and we couldn't be happier! The packages are very cost-friendly. From start to finish the staff was always available to answer any questions or help us with our decisions throughout the planning process. The package they offered us had everything we needed so we did not have to look for outside vendors or stress about the hassle of finding reputable people. The guests had a great time and complimented the delicious food. From DJ to our cake all was included, in our package. I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a wedding venue. More...

We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and modern, and the amenities were just fine. This hotel is on the northern end of the strip, away from the hustle and bustle of the newer hotels, but after a few nights in Vegas, it's actually quite nice to get back to a quiet place.

In fact it surprise me, I stayed at Monaco Tower, my room was non-smoker, comfortable room, and a chair to sit and watch TV, this one was my favorite to relax after a long day walking, quiet floor, 43o. no noise, besides its cleanliness, the samples at the bathroom had natural fragancies of confrey and ginseng, which I really enjoyed them. The Buffet in general is good and if you have the card players you get a discount, so let´s enjoy and I did. The Casino has a very nice environment, clear, large and I felt very well, and spent a long time gambling. More...

I booked our room through one of the many wholesalers. My wife and I checked in around 8pm Sun. 3/13. James, the person I checked in with at the hotel, was amazing. I requested to upgrade my room before arriving, but the Riviera couldn't help me until I actually arrived. James not only upgraded my room. He wrote down his name and extension to make sure I was satisfied. After checking out the room, I called James at the front desk thanking him. Hats off to James. What a way to start a vacation. Our room had a great location. We had a pretty good view looking towards the Encore and could see the Rio. Everyone my wife and I encountered during our stay at the Riviera was pleasent and friendly. I'm talking about the staff, not the other guest. We talked to about everyone. Players club, dealers, slot folks, beverage servers and bartenders along with housekeeping. Everyone was professional and friendly. After staying and my experiance I'd do it again. More...

Checked in around mid-night on Fri by James who was very polite and helpful. Initially was assigned a 3rd floor room in the Med North Tower but was moved Sat to Med South 8fl. The South tower was better, with more space, a frig and a Strip view. These rooms have been upgraded with flat screens and pillow top beds that slept VERY WELL. The room was clean and actually quite comfortable. Gambling was decent and casino staff seemed upbeat and friendly. Maybe the Riviera is listening to us and really trying to committ to being better. The room promos are a definite draw and I will continue to give them a chance. More...

I just wanted to express how very grateful I am with the honesty of the staff at the Riviera. Especially housekeeping, security, and my wonderful slot host. I was a guest and I had left a black sweater and two necklaces that I accidently left in my room after I had packed and left the hotel. I called and housekeeping and they transferred me to security and they let me know that they had these items locked in their safe. I contacted my slot host Sheila Pappas and she gave them my address and they sent my items in the mail to me. I am so happy to have gotten these items back. I am so impressed with everyone at the Riviera. Thanks so much to all of you. More...

We were handed The Riviera by Priceline's name-your-own-price lottery, and when I read the reviews on this board I was afraid, very afraid. But like a turd on your floor that turns out to be chocolate, we loved the place. Registration upgraded us to a King without us even asking, and the room was clean and efficient ... for $30 a night this was a deal. The top layer of the cake, icing and all, is the fun conventions and entertainments that the Riviera hosts. Both the SASS conventions (everywhere people dressed as old time western characters) and the Sin City Roller Derby meet (go grrrrls!) were staged the weekend of our arrival. This goes on *because* the Riviera is faded ... it's cheap enough that organizations can make use of it, unlike the mega ca$ino$ further down the strip. And on that note, location is the one thing that's a bit of a bind. Count on a 30 minute walk to Caesar's Palace and beyond, but hey, you'll end up thinner than most people you find there. More...

Stayed at the Riviera 3 times it is one of the older hotels on the strip but dont be put off by that. It is a very friendly hotel the rooms are adequate we were at our timeshare (grandview) but we went to the riviera a few times during our stay. We were there last year for 3 weeks when we arrived at the valet parking the valet smiled and said hello nice to see you again. When you think how many people they see every day and he remembered us from 12 months ago, it didnt stop there one of the cocktail waitresses also remembered us and made a point of coming over to say hello. We had a wonderful stay. From the moment we went to the check in desk, where we were greeted by a very pleasant young woman, until we checked out , we were very pleasantly surprised with our Riviera experience. Now, to be fair, if you go with expectations of grandeur or glitz, you will be sorely disappointed. But, if you go wanting a nice clean room, friendly service and a staff who have a sense of humor, you will be very happy at the Riviera. We were offered a room in the Monaco Tower, which has all been renovated recently and we thought the room was exceptionally nice. Not sure about the more ""classic"" rooms. We got the Monaco tower for no additional charge and didn't even have to ask for an upgrade. The young woman at check in offered it to us. The pit bosses, cocktail waitresses and dealers that we dealt with in the casino were veterans (OK, OK, I mean older folks), but this added to the ambiance of the casino experience. All were very friendly, funny and they had great stories to share about their long Vegas experiences. We loved this part of playing there. Also had a great, inexpensive meal in the coffee shop. It is a bit sad to see the shape of the surrounding area outside the Riviera, but we managed to have a great time playing and staying there. Also played at the Sahara a bit. It was an easy walk and also had a good old historical Vegas vibe. Speaking of historical vibes, right next door to the Riviera is the Peppermill, a great place for cool drinks and good food in a retro setting. In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend the Riviera to folks, so long as they know that part of the strip and they aren't expecting high end. More...

We had been to Vegas before and stayed main strip, wanted something cheaper and """"old Vegas style"""" this time. The Riviera casino floor was clean and had the old vegas feel I was looking for. We stayed in the North Tower, the hallways scared me ! But thankfully the rooms were updated, clean and had the most comfortable beds, even with the 3 hour time change (which REALLY messed us up last time) We all slept to Vegas 8am. The bathrooms were small, but had a """"dressing area"""" full length mirrors and makeup table - very important when it's 2 ladies per room. Showers had great water pressure. Kady's restaurant onsite had great food, portions and prices...their staff is very friendly and fast - unlike the british pub onsite :( Pool was good, mid afternoon there was a sun side and shade side, they also had floaties you could use...which is good if you have kids. Check in was a breeze , we got our rooms at noon, well before the stated 4pm check in which was great. The Deuce bus stops right outside north & south bound which make getting to the main strip & Freemont a breeze & $20 for 3 days 24/7 riding. Would stay there again More...

We went to the Riviera to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We've been going there for years and have always stayed and played at the Riv. This was our second trip to the Riviera this year. we had a wonderful time! Didn't go anywhere but there. Everyone was exceptional, especially our Host, Jim. He was at our every beck and call (if needed) - he made reservations at Kristopher's Steak House for our anniversary day and everything was absolutely wonderful. Although the machines didn't like my husband and I very much we still enjoyed our 4 days at the Riv. We're planning our next trip for the Superbowl Party in February (fingers crossed) but will definitely be going in early June to celebrate my birthday and my best friends wedding anniversary who stayed at the Riv for that! Yeah!! We just love this older Hotel & Casino due to its history. I pray it stays and doesn't get caught up in all the conglomerates throughout Las Vegas. I cannot rave or say enough good things about the service and the staff. They were friendly, helpful and attentive. The gaming tables and dealers were the best bar none. The dealers were entertaining and advised some good strategies for an amateur like myself (not to mention patient!) If I were to lose my money anywhere, the demeanor and characters of the dealers at the Riviera make losing much more tolerable. Just returned from 2 nights at the Riviera Hotel celebrating a birthday on a budget! Booked a special through US Airways from Atlanta. $5.00 shuttle to hotel. Best drinks while gambling at the Belagio Hotel. Best food & service at Kady's Cafe at Riviera Hotel. Best roulette for $5.00 minimum and won was Riviera Hotel. Best slots & shots at Hard Rock Hotel/ Pink Taco. Don’t miss ""Thunder from Down Under"" at the Excalibur Hotel. Very fun & tastefully hot Australian dancers. After the show, you can have your picture taken with them & have fun buying at their shop. Vegas is very spread out. Take comfortable shoes. Taxi was about $12.00 no matter where we went. We mostly walked everywhere. Bus was $1.25/ 2.00 but crowded. Each hotel has something fun to see & do. We loved them ALL! I felt that I had to counteract some of the less positive reviews on this website. First, let me tell you some of the things you should know about the Riviera before you book your stay (I knew these going in, so I wasn't disappointed): 1) The Riviera is on the north Las Vegas strip. What this means is that you're a 10-minute bus ride to the south (newer) end of the strip. 2) The Riviera is one of the older hotels on the strip. Knowing these two things before you get to the hotel are very important before booking your stay at the Riviera. You will NOT be in the middle of the action like you had stayed at Caesar's Palace, nor will you experience the extravagence of a newer resort hotel like the Bellagio, but neither of those are necessarily a bad thing. The cost is right on for what you get and, if you plan on gambling, the Riviera has some of the lowest table minimums that you will find on the strip. More...

had a room in the Mediterranean Tower across from Poker room on the 9th floor. Sure its an older smaller place, but I find its well kept and easy to negotiate . My room had a King bed with small 20"" TV, table and chairs. It was all in very good condition and clean. The bathroom was small but good water pressure and very clean. The room had a safe and small fridge. Casino was not too busy but a good place to play low-key poker. Pool was warm. They have an ABC store in the hotel that sells beer and stuff. Good Thai restaurant and food court beside the obvious buffet and steak house. I rent a car so the location was not a problem and parking is easy. Staying here is not a concern when I visit Vegas. VINTAGE VEGAS! More...

This property has received a great deal of negative publicity. I don't understand why. Yes the RIveria's overall appearance pales in comparison to properties like the Venetian, Wynn and Paris. Yes, the location on the northern end of the strip places this property away from the higher concentration of properites on the southern end. where entertainment options are far more plentiful. Yes, the buffet is lousy and overpriced . Many write that the staff is unfriendly and uncooperative. My response to that is as follows: If you immediately take and maintain a hostile posture to a situation that you feel is a mistake made by the property, it matters not what they attempt to do to correct the problem, you will always see these individuals in a negative and harsh light.. That being said, I found everyone I encountered and spoke to , front desk personnel , a front desk shift manager, housekeeping, the associate who stood outside the front desk serving as a ""greeter,"" observing personnel who had completed their shift, but still in uniform ,continuing to assist the hotel guests who approached them with questions who were , attentive who gave a damn You just have to make start that first encounter with a friendly hello. Amazing the dividends it can repay to you. My reservation called for one room with a king bed and two rooms with 2 double beds .Upon arrival the hotel had set aside 2 rooms with king beds and 1 room with a double bed. SURPRISE, the front desk clerk APOLOGIZED and immediately corrected this discrepency with absolutely no delay. Our rooms in the recently renovated South Tower, were clean, bathroom supplies plentiful, sufficient hot water for showers adequate water pressure (remember water is such a precious commodity in Vegas) working television, thermostat in the rooms that allow the guest to set the temperature to their personal liking, rooms cleaned in a timely matter. If you want to look out your hotel window to see something that offers some ""special view"" of the STRIP or downtown, or if some ""high"" threadcount number of the pillow and bedding is important or perhaps that complementary ""fishwrap"" or coffee and danish is provided as room service anexercise room with the latest state of the art equipment so one can work out to offset the negative effects of the prior evening's excessive eating and drinking, then the Riveria is not the place to stay. Otherwise for what the Riveria charges it's guest for a night's stay, and what one gets in exchange for that consideration, this property is one of the BEST OVERALL VALUES ON THE STRIP, AND THE STAFF IS ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY. JUST RETURN SAID CONSIDERATION !!!! More...

The staff and management were great! We were registered early and without incident. The rooms had been recently remodeled and we found them to be neat, clean and very, very appealing. We ate most of our meals at most of their restauraunts and we found them to also have a great staff and excellent food. The cocktail waitresses were always available and pleasant in the gaming area and the entertainer singer ""Mark"" also added a pleasant and enjoyable experience in and around the slots. We also enjoyed the Commedy Club and the La Cage show at the Riviera. I have been to La Cage twice and wife wife has enjoyed it 3 times. We can't say enough good things about te Riviera! We were humbled by their hospitality and thoroughly impressed with the accomodations. I highly recommend the Riviera for its accomadations, staff and location. Thank you Riviera! More...

I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work for our wedding. It was the most wonderful, perfectly beautiful day--and none of it would have been possible without you. Every detail and little touch that you add made the whole planning experience stress free and so much fun. There is no where else I could possibly imagine having my wedding. I hope that you know what a blessing you were for my family More...

We would like to thank the staff at Del Angel Banquet Halll for making our wedding day dreams come true. From the beautiful decorations to the delicious Cuisine, our wedding day was perfect! Every time we reminisce about our wedding day, we thank God for leading us to Imperial Palace. We were definitely placed in good hands! I would recommend this facility to anyone. More...

Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful day you coordinated for us. Obviously when a Wedding reception is booked, there is a certain amount of \'trust\' in that all will be delivered as promised on the day. You certainly did everything in your power to make the day perfect in every way. More...

We stay at the RIV at least once a year. For the money (join the slot club), you cannot do better. Not the fanciest, but it's as nice as the best Holiday Inn you ever stayed in and the staff are mostly the best, if not the youngest! !!! Tackey shows and an OK, new buffet. We stay & play........usually go elsewhere for shows (except headliners). More...

Our Bachelorette party didn't stay at the Riviera, but thought it would be fun to watch Men, the Show. I've been to the other male reviews (i. e. Chippendales and Thunder From Down Under) from previous visits to Sin City, but this show by far beats them all! I suggest getting the VIP seats to have the opportunity to get up close and personal if ya know what I mean! Devon and Rico were our party's faves! :) And the bonus, they take pictures and do signings at the end of the show! SO it is well worth what you spend! We ate at the Italian Eatery at the Riviera before the show and I can only say wonderful and delightful things about it! The gentlemen who served us were funny and to top it off, they served us free dessert! NOW that is what I call great service! More...

I FOUND THE RIVIERA TO BE A GOOD VALUE AND TO HAVE THE RESOURCES TO ACCOMODATE LARGE CONVENTIONS/MEETINGS. THE CASINO WAS FUN, RESTAURANTS AND SHOWS ALL WORTH CATCHING. ROOMS WERE SLIGHTLY OUTDATED, BUT THE OVERALL SERVICE MADE UP FOR IT. I COULD SEE VISITING THEM AGAIN, AND FOR THE MOST PART I FOUND MY ENTIRE STAY VERY ENJOYABLE. THE CONVENTION WAS A SUCCESS TOO! The best seafood buffet in Las Vegas. Includes all you can eat lobster. Large Nickel Town slots (more than you'd expect in an upscale resort) for after-dinner fun. It's the hotel with the wall of lights as you drive by on the Strip. More...
