My passion is serving up southern comfort soul food for the people of Marin. Using ingredients from local farmers, ranchers, and purveyors, my aim is to create food with lower caloric content and health in mind while preserving the traditional essence of regional and southern cooking.
I firmly believe that we all benefit from closer connections to our food source. It is meaningful to know the people who grow our food share similar enthusiasm and respect for sustainable practices.
Buying locally makes sense because the food is fresh, it carries higher nutrient value and is more flavorful. I carefully select the growers I use for the integrity of their products.
I am devoted to sharing delicious healthy food with my community. I support a thriving network of farmers, growers, purveyors, caterers, restaurateurs and businesses that believe in people first, appreciate self-sustaining local farms and food sources, and don’t advocate the use of any additives.
My enthusiasm for cooking and what goes into each dish I prepare, not only comes from my love for creating meals for my friends and family, and my dedication to being of service for others, but also my belief that cooking is a living art.
