I'm a member of our condominium's board of directors, and we hired Debora Lyn Interior Design based on recommendations from owners in the building and after interviewing a number of firms.
We ultimately used them for several major projects over several years, including updating our building's carpeting, tile, wallpaper, and paint. We also used them for replacing our building's outdoor furniture, adding a number of decorative elements, and consulting on a few items we purchased independently. In all, we have done about $600,000 worth of work with them, and we plan to continue using them for future projects.
Debbie and Ania are just terrific. They take time to learn about your project and aesthetics and then provide you with a number of options to maintain flexibility but also help you focus on a few distinct styles. And they of course add their wonderfully creative and innovative input when coming up with those options.
The thing we joke about with them is that they're always right about design choices! Although many of us may not see the big picture and how the independent elements will all come together in the end, they see it right from the start. We have really come to trust their instincts and expertise. And we constantly get compliments from owners and visitors about how beautiful our building looks.
On a personal level, Debbie and Ania are a joy to work with. They are down to earth and accommodating, and they are simply fun to work with. We can't recommend them enough!

I highly recommend Debora Lyn Interior Design! My husband and I had a wonderful experience in the first of many remodels to come on our new home in Chicago. Debbie and Ania stood out from other designers not only by their chic and sophisticated style but also the way they put you at ease with no high-stress sales push. Debora Lyn Interior Design was recommended by a former colleague. I was putting my home up for sale and needed an interior designer to recommend some professional advice. I wanted it to show well and at the same time appeal to our family in case the home did not sell. Debora did an amazing job adhering to my budget and my style. She had an open mind and never pushed me in one direction while providing me with several options for me to make it "my own." She is a consummate professional, detail oriented, down to earth and her customer service is above and beyond. It was a small project, however she treated me as if I was spending $100,000. We hired Debora Lyn Interior Design 6 years ago on a condo we own. The results were so spectacular that we hired them again when we were building our new home. We feel so at ease when they are working on our projects. We don’t ever worry about anything because they have it all under control. Any changes that we make are taken care of and they get back to us immediately if we have any questions. Their prices are unbeatable, and when we find something we want and can’t afford, they can find something almost identical for a whole lot less that works perfectly.
