We were waiting at the door when this place opened due to being used to the EST zone, and it was worth every bite!! The coconut pancakes were amazing! ! The jam used for the toast was out of this world. We wish they would sell it. The staff was extremely friendly and awesome. Service was quick! I would recommend this place to everyone! More...

Delicious food and a beautiful view of the ocean. One of the best fish tacos I've had (so good I forgot to take a photo until after I already polished 1 off)- the avocado & pineapple slaw was the perfect juxtaposition of creamy and acid. The salad dressing was also delightful. Highly recommend. More...

Best coffee in West Hawaii. Bar none. Great location and delicious food a bonus. Apparently Yelp doesn't like concise reviews, but check it out.

The service was excellent. I went on their first day of rebranding. They are now called Papa Kona. Google may take a bit to update to the proper name but rest assured this is the same place. Our server was very friendly and patient with our questions. She even went ahead and recommended places for us to go afterwards and had general chit chat with us about our home town.I would definitely recommend this place for some great breakfast. The food was excellent and very tasty. I would go back again. The view is also stunning if you manage to get a seaside seat. More...

They have good food and coffee. Service was good as well. The housemade jam is really tasty. The puna kine Benedict was great and eggs were poached perfectly. They were very accommodating and helpful. Ate here twice and will do so again when we have the opportunity to do so. More...

Our favorite for breakfast! It's a clean, trendy and open air restaurant atmosphere. I love the charm and people that work here. The service always upbeat and cheerful. Sometimes they can get really heavy traffic with visitors but they do good in keeping service quick. The daily pancakes rotate but are always good and any coffee here is going to be great. I really enjoyed the Kona Kine Benedict with patatoes. More...

Second time coming here. Last time was about 3 years ago and it’s just as authentic as it was before. From the staff to the decor, the atmosphere is Kona. Every plate I’ve tried has been thoughtfully created and prepared. Best breakfast and lattes in Kona. Love it. More...

Yes for breakfast!! The Hawaiian French Toast was just perfect, and some of the best I've ever had! In addition, our party of 5 enjoyed 2 orders of avocado toast, a yogurt parfait and an eggs Benedict Portions are just right for individual servings; neither too large or small. However, nobody including myself wanted to share their order. More...

This is our favorite Sunday night date night location. It’s quiet yet perfect being right on the water. The coffee is good and they give a local discount along with the punch card. The outdoor seating is the place to be - to enjoy the sound of the waves and we love the rocking chairs on the porch. We have never eaten their food but it looks good. More...

Wow. Still taste the delicious sauce on the loco moco hours after I've licked my plate clean. My wife and I went to this place for brunch while staying at the Waikoloa Marriott Resort near by and we were very satisfied. She got the stuffed French toast because she loves French toast and bananas (topped with a banana sauce/custard). I got the loco moco (rice, braised beef, and sunny side up egg). Wesharedboth because we like the mix of sweet and savory. Our waitress (Megan I believe) was great. Very attentive and quick service. We are only here for a week but thinking about going back because we didn't want either dish to end. More...

I was really craving a tasty, "aesthetic" brunch, and Daylight did the job! I chose the Puna Kine Benedict ($16): spinach, heirloom tomato, avo smash, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce with a side of fruit (instead of rice). Eggs were cooked perfectly (nice and yolky), bread was hearty, and the avo smash was heaven. There was so much avocado! Chunky and seasoned well. The fruit happily surprised me as the variety was great (no melons + 1 grape like in the mainland) and it was plated so nicely! They didn't go too heavy on the hollandaise too; 5/5 starsEveryone in my group enjoyed all of their dishes - would also recommend the home fries! Serving size is a little on the small side, but it was perfect for me.Interior of the restaurant is cute- wood/white detailing and a pretty open floor plan. The only thing is that it's so hot inside. I would come back if I was in the area! . More...

Granola-ry. There was a young couple there with two small children. The infant the dad carried around everywhere, 100% totally naked. I was waiting for the infant to have an accident. The other small child (2 or 3) was in a diaper only, running around all while Mom was coloring or on the phone. (Owners? Guests,?) Why was this allowed? The food was spectacular, the price along with it $70) for the two breakfasts in the picture and two smoothies. I would return for the food, BUT would seek out to see if young junior was Stark naked.. if so, I would go elsewhere. More...

Another great hole-in-the wall. Food was good. I'm not a fan of chives on my chicken fried steak or fried rice, so heads up if you're in the same boat, they'll come with it. The French toast was wonderful. They're known for their pancakes, and now we know why. They are as large as the plate, and there are 2 per order. It's far more than any one person should consume, but they looked wonderful. I'd go there again just to get the pancakes now. Oh yeah, the bacon is wonderfully crispy. All portions are generous. We liked it, and the staff are very friendly. More...
