I can't say enough good things about Dawn! We rebranded our company and needed to have new headshots taken of our team for our new website. We knew the kind of style we were looking for and narrowed it down to a few top options, but Dawn was our number 1 choice by far. She is in high demand so didn't have our initial date available but we wanted to work with her so we found another date that worked for everyone. And I am so glad we did. Working with Dawn and her assistant was not only an easy and efficient day, but also so much fun! We managed to get 15 headshots and a whole host of lifestyle shots of the team all fit into one day. Everyone on our team said they have never had a more smooth and efficient headshot photo shoot. Dawn made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed and the photos show that and came out wonderfully. I met Dawn yesterday at our LA office. She was returning to the firm after multiple previous engagements to take headshots for new members of our team at ELLO Capital. For some, having a photo shoot conducted in eye shot of colleagues can be daunting. Not with Dawn. She was incredibly warm, intuitive and made the entire team feel at ease about their fleeting modeling career. The end product was exceptional. I wish there were more stars to give Dawn Bowery! She makes you feel very at ease. We were there to shoot rather intense portraits for a poster and it was a breeze. Dawn is one of the best photographer I have ever worked with. I am not one of those who are comfortable in front of camera but Dawn makes me feel at ease and relax. I think Dawn is exceptional, her artistry and creativity in composing and framing the shot was incredibly strong, and made the session extraordinarily productive and time efficient. I was incredibly fortunate that my company selected Dawn Bowery to shoot our company headshots. Dawn is not only talented behind the lens, but she has a charisma and energy about her that puts you immediately at ease, and beaming throughout your photo shoot. Despite the sheer number of clients she photographed that day, she took the time to sit down with each of her client individually to help you select your favorite shot. As soon as I met Dawn at her studio in Laurel Canyon I knew I would feel comfortable with her in front of the camera. She has a wonderful warmth about her. Considering the anxiety and discomfort that usually comes with having my picture taken, she seemed to know the secret for getting me to feel at ease and look like I was enjoying myself (I actually was because she’s really interesting and so easy to talk to). Dawn Bowery is quite simply amazing! It'd been years since I sat in front of a camera -- I prefer to be behind the lens. Or the bar. But when she graciously offered her services at Stories of the Still, providing head shots for the bartenders and brand ambassadors in attendance, I not only found myself siting for her but enjoying every minute of it. My name is Amanda Youngs. When I first booked my photo shoot with Ms. Bowery I was a little nervous because it was in LA and I didn't know what to expect but when I arrived she treated me right at home.
