My wife and I got married at the Darby House on September 14th, 2019. It was an absolute fairy-tale experience! This location was exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful venue with lots of nature, gated entrance, long drive to the venue, secluded, etc. There wasn't a single guest that didn't comment on how incredible the venue was. We couldn't have dreamed of a better experience. Would recommend any couple getting married to consider adding this to their list of wedding venues. My wife and I are glad we did. More...

We went there for a wedding.  Venue is beautiful on a river and forest backdrop.  We even had a flock of geese go by on cue.  Service  was almost seamless.  I would love to have an event there. More...

The perfect wedding venue! Being a wedding photographer for 13 years I've been all over and the Darby House never gets old. The staff is so pleasant and Cameron Mitchell excels at catering, Columbus' best! Consider the Darby House for your wedding, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I can't thank the Darby House managers and staff enough for the efforts made to make our daughter and new son-in-law's wedding reception the wonderful celebration we had planned and hoped for. A great space for dinner, a large band, and dancing. The patio area and outdoor bar are added bonuses as is the beautiful setting.

We highly recommend Darby House and Cameron Mitchell Catering for any special celebration.

Once I found it the wedding I attended was beautiful. The grounds are amazing. The food delightful. Was not well marked. Passed by at least 5 times and gps kept telling me the place was in the middle of a corn field. More...

My husband and I got married here in 2008 and it could not have been more perfect! We absolutely loved everything about this place! They even moved the chairs several times from outside to inside because of some crazy weather for our July wedding. If we had to do it all over again we would pick the Darby House every time! The food was great, the staff worked hard and the venue was gorgeous! More...

Having our wedding at Darby House made all my dreams come true. First, the venue holds historic value-- it is situated on Darby Dan Farm, a farm that produced multiple thoroughbred horse racing champions. Because of this, a former US President and British royalty have visited the farm. The venue itself holds many historical artifacts of note, including artwork and memorabilia, which were fun for guests to enjoy during the reception. Secondly, the venue itself is gorgeous and well maintained. When you enter the property, you enter through a gate and stone fence, then drive down about a mile of white fenced, tree-lined driveway to the outwardly quaint looking house. Upon entering, you are greeted with an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows with sweeping views of the Big Darby Creek, a state and nationally recognized scenic river. There are two large rooms on either side of the entryway; on the left, the Dining Room, and on the right, the Racing Room. Bathrooms are situated discreetly in between, and there are plenty of stalls for guests. The bridal suite, consisting of two rooms, is situated off the Dining Room, tucked away and out of sight. The Racing Room features two walls of floor to ceiling windows, one with views of the Big Darby and one with views of the grounds, including a walk out patio. The Dining Room features a nook of floor to ceiling windows with creek views and in summer, sunset views. There are two ceremony options: outdoors, on the shaded Waterside Terrace, or indoors, in the Racing Room. We elected to have our ceremony in the Racing Room, followed by hors d'oeuvres and dancing. We held dinner in the Dining Room. CMPE can flip any room within 6 minutes-- my husband and I watched the transformation of one room and it was incredible. We worked with Emily, Jessie, and Chandra, the coordinators of this venue and representatives of CMPE. They were all professional, pleasant, and prompt. Emily in particular was amazing because she was confident and a good manager. Working with her in the days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day left me with no doubt that our event would be executed with precision and perfection. We worked with CMPE to select all food, the style of bar service that suited our needs, and the decorative displays throughout the venue. There are major benefits to working with CMPE: tables and chairs, china, flatware, glassware, cake cutting utensils, linens, catering, and displays are all provided in house. This made planning a wedding from another city much easier, because the only other vendors I had to book myself were cake, entertainment, flowers, and the pastor. Our family and friends had the best time at our wedding and loved the outdoor and indoor space. The food was impeccable and our guests left feeling happy and full. Every need our guests had was met by Emily and her incredible staff. At one point, Chandra even walked my husband and I into a side door so our big entrance into the reception could remain a big entrance. We had no worries on our wedding day-- it was perfect, and this is largely due to the Darby House and CMPE. Thank you for making our day unforgettable and flawless for our family, our friends, and for us! More...

The absolutely PERFECT place for our special day! We had a wonderful experience at the Darby House for our wedding and reception. Beautiful place inside and outside, private area for us and our guests, and fabulous execution of all the details. Jessie was our contact through the Darby House and she was very professional, organized, helpful, outgoing, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for all of your help during our special day and making it turn out so wonderfully! We couldn't be happier with how everything came together. If the location wasn't enough, Cameron Mitchell Premier Events really sold us on this venue! We loved all the food and the chefs did an awesome job, as always, preparing the food. We are still getting compliments on the meal and venue! AMAZING! More...

Beautiful wedding venue.Very functional space that is great for entertaining and celebrating any type of event. The staff is very professional and helpful and the food is delicious ( Cameron Mitchell). The waterside back patio provides another level of exceptional atmosphere. You won't have any cell service while you are there but, is that really such a bad thing? More...

I had my wedding and reception at The Darby House in 2010, and I will recommend it to anyone who asks. This place was wonderful! The grounds are just beautiful, the people were so accommodating to us through the whole process, and super friendly to all our guests on the day of. The wait staff was very professional and dressed appropriately. (You'd may be surprised how often that isn't the case...) For events, The Darby House uses Cameron Mitchell Catering, and our coordinator was Mandy. She was always helpful when I needed suggestions and advice, and they work so well as a partnership, so I never needed to worry about one hand not talking to the other.Despite an awful photographer, you just couldn't mess up a picture here. It was just so breathtakingly beautiful, I'll always look back fondly on our experience with The Darby House. All in all, beautiful place and great staff. It was pricey but worth it to know I didn't need to worry about a single thing on my day. More...

The Darby House is a stately banquet facility located on the beautiful Darby Creek. Built by the once-prominent Galbreath family (builders of much of the Columbus skyline, former owners of the Pittsburgh Pirates), the complex features a patio and several large rooms and for hosting events (most notably, weddings). The setting is nothing short of picturesque. The site was once used as a equine farm where Kentucky Derby-winning horses were raised. Today it is still maintained meticulously. The food and beverages were presented in an extremely classy manner. This is a great place to host an event. It's accordingly pricey, of course, but the setting is unequaled in central Ohio. More...
