This Hidden Gem is worth EVERY penny! OMG. I have been searching all of SF for the best Cupcakes in town and by golly I've found them! This place is in a tiny whole in the wall not surrounded by much but the quality and taste is beyond delicious. I bought a couple cupcakes but my favorite I believe it was called Grandma's Apple Pie and let me tell you... one bite is PURE BLISS HEAVEN. Please go there and try this one cupcake. I would like to thank Cups and Cakes Bakery for making the most adorable teddy bear cake for my son's 1st birthday. It was exactly what I envisioned and more! Not only was it stunning, but delicious as well (seriously, their cakes are not your typically bday cake --they taste amazing). Not a piece left by the end of the night! I would also like to thank Armen for taking the time to make certain the design was exactly how I wanted it (he literally made 10 different color fondants so I can pick the exact color I want the teddy bears to be on the cake). Cups&Cakes tries interesting flavor combinations (pancake breakfast that includes bacon on top, mojito with lime, mint, and rum all represented, strawberry lemonade, and on and on) and they also make killer salted caramel and other treats. Their shop is little - I only discovered them on my way to the bus walking from Trader Joes - but you can't miss the bright pink storefront. A good friend of mine asked me to pick up cupcakes for her sisters birthday. For my convenience I tried to find the closest cupcake shop to my house, because how good can one cupcake be over another, right? Wrong! Cups and Cakes has an amazing variety of cupcakes all of which are delicious. The great thing about their cupcakes is it's not just your standard chocolate or vanilla (although they have those too).
