Went to all ages show and had a lot of fun.  I used my Goldstar app for tickets that were $12.50.  At this price point I thought it was a great value.  At $25 I may have given this a slightly lower rating. At the higher price point I would prefer to go to IO or  Second City  - however those venues may not cater to families.  Would recommend and will likely go back. More...

Just saw their pride show and they were awesome. All the performers were lgbt and they all did a great job. So clever and endearing and funny. I went back for another one and the drag queen and the other performers were soooo much fun too. And it wasn't like they threw the gay stuff at us all condescendingly and forced; it was actually really cool and family friendly. A great way to introduce people in the burbs and kids to different cultures. And they're so funny and clever! It really is a great time especially when you've got kids. A great night of entertainment for our family. Our kids (age 11 and 14) ask to go back each time we’re in the city! Different every time and love that it’s interactive and completely clean fun. Would highly recommend!

Love comedy sportz. Played back In HS and lead an improv troupe a few times in my 20s. The theater and sound were great. I was a little worried with about 40 ppl in the audience on a Saturday holiday weekend. Â The actors did great with their suggestions. They did seem to lose some energy during the second half however. My only gripe would be with ref consistently getting suggestions from 1 person in the audience. I feel this really limits great suggestions that could make for great scenes. I would definitely check this out again to compare. More...

If you're looking for something fun to do with the family, you really can't beat this theater! This family-friendly improv show provided lots of laughs and a great time for everyone. The tickets are general admission, but the host was careful to seat the families with children towards the front, so that the kids could participate when a volunteer was needed from the audience. The theater is on the small side, so if you don't have kids with you, you'd probably be more comfortable sitting towards the back anyway. No two shows are the same. I would highly recommend this! Thank you for giving me and my son a lifetime memory last night! I have never laughed so hard at someone laughing so hard! My nine-year old son, Brody (who experienced his first on-stage performance and was in a game...), has not stopped talking about our night! We had a blast and cannot wait to go back for our next show. Without a doubt Comedy Sportz will be a regular stop with our friends and family visiting Chicago! I cannot say enough about this family-friendly show! Went at 8pm Thursday with my wife and 10-year old. (Bought tix on Groupon and saved 10 bucks. )The people at the theater and the performers could not be nicer. Loved the inclusive atmosphere and diversity. So much fun shouting out suggestions to the performers and watching them make sense of it all. Afterwards, we all got to meet the cast and take some pics. Take the kids. Go. Great option for comedy in Chicago! For a city known for its comedy options, this is a fun take on the traditional stand up or sketch shows out there. The show involves two teams playing different improv games with a ton of audience suggestions. They also take it seriously to not be crude or vulgar, so it's a nice option for families or people who just appreciate comedy that doesn't rely on explicit humor. Would come back again! More...

Have you watched Wild'n Out and enjoyed it? Then you'll LOVE ComedySportz! ComedySportz is an improv show that has two teams compete to make you laugh. I've been many times. It's one of those places that when someone I know is visiting from out of town, I try to bring them here. I've seen lots of different games/competitions but am glad they always do 5 things. 5 things is hard to explain but lots of fun to watch! I have literally never left without having a good time. But I'm also not scared to get involved. The more involved you are (or at least someone at your table), the better time you'll have. I also got to meet BonQuiQui (Anjelah Johnson) one time because she was also in the audience enjoying the show!! The improv actors are hilarious, the bar stuff is kind and attentive...I cannot say a bad thing about this place or the show. More...

We got to Chicago around 3pm with our 9 year olds and found that pretty much all museums and attractions closed at 5. We happened to find this listed as a thing to do with children and it worked out so well. I've never seen improv without dirty humor but it worked really well. I don't know if the kids or the adults enjoyed it more. I would highly recommend it to parents of older children or tweens. More...

Great "clean" fun. We went with a group of 10 ranging in age from 14-78 and everyone was laughing. I wasn't sure how the concept worked going into it, but its worth a visit for sure. Engaging and entertaining.

Great place to bring the kids!!! A little cheesy for us adults, but at least there's a bar! They had some food for sale, but only like. . "vending machine," kind of food. If they could just add popcorn or warm pretzels, that would make the experience so much better. Anyhow, our 10 year old son loved it, and the tickets were $25/head. Not bad. It's tough to be funny and PG, but they managed to do that. We will be back. If you meter park, yes, put in the 2 hours... but make sure you paid on the app, so you can add another 30 minutes or so if needed. More...

Every single time I've been here I've laughed, a lot. As with all true improv, there are some jokes that fall flat and some that just won't line up with your sense of humor. But I like it that way. A bit more raw. The house staff is always friendly, and the space is super convenient. I've been to other locations since my first time year 4-5 years ago, and this location has been consistently funnier and plays through better games in my opinion. More...
