We had my brother-in-law's memorial service here. This was a tough time for us but Evan made the process very easy. The price was very reasonable and the staff did a great job the day of the event. Special thanks to Michelle, who was very helpful. I had a lot of questions when we arrived and she took care of everything.The AV/presentation setup is pretty good. They have an auxiliary cord and ceiling speakers for music, a podium, and a screen for projecting images. Their wireless mic wasn't working but the wired mic was fine. They do not have a projector, extension cords, or a mic stand. The location is easy to find and there's plenty of parking.Everyone was very pleased with the food, venue, and experience. I came by twice to test the AV and Evan gave me all the time I needed. He was flexible and kind. If you're planning a memorial I would recommend the Cortlandt Colonial. My daughter was married to there on May 27. The reception was fantastic from beginning to end. There was more than enough food and it was all delicious. Sunday Brunch is best I've been to. Freshly baked cinnamon rolls greet you as a unique brunch "appetizer". Good coffee and mimosas. Breakfast food options are varied and well prepared. Made to order omelettes are popular. Lunch options are fewer, but again, delicious. Carved beef is generous and melt in your mouth. Best part are the small portion desserts. Cozy, easy going place for all ages, especially good for retirees. Salad bar is always nice and fresh, specials always interesting. While nicely presented nothing here is overly fancy, and they are happy to make substitutions for dietary restrictions. My dining partner had a gluten and dairy intolerance and they made gluten-free pasta and adapted their sauce. My own sandwich was big enough to bring the other half home. I went to a wedding and a school fundraiser at Cortlandt Colonial Restaurant & Ballroom, and really appreciated the outdoor seating, fish pond and most of all outstanding food. The service was seamless at these two events. Parking was ample and look forward to just having dinner here soon.
